Big Biller was designed around a three-step system for fast data entry and quick, accurate searches. This powerful recruiting package comes with unique set of features and tools specific to the industry. Resumes can be emailed directly into the system. From there, the Premium Parser extracts all relevant information from the resume to create a candidate profile - eliminating any manual entry. The Contact Import Wizard imports Excel spreadsheets or .csv files into the database instantly. 

Once everything is uploaded into Big Biller, searching for candidates records, resumes, and documents is simple and fast. The system supports email marketing capabilities that can be targeted towards clients about their hiring needs or candidates about their job search. Big Biller also gives recruiters complete visibility of where candidates are in their pipeline and how quickly they’re moving along. We really like the Hotlist feature that tags groups and lists of people, companies, and jobs for quick reference. 

Big Biller is also web-based, so it’s affordable and flexible, making it a great option for any recruiting professional.

Big Biller is the fourth program we have implemented to run our recruiting firm. The Big Biller software is easy to use, fully functional and very intuitive for all levels of tech skills. The learning curve was almost non-existent for both me and my admin who works on our ATS constantly.

Pros

Ease of use, etc. but also I can't say enough about the support staff. Most especially our account manager, our training person. I didn't have too much contact with the tech person who did the implementation of the Big Biller job board into our Web site, but I understand that that went smoothly also.

Cons

Nothing that stands out in my mind.

Advice to Others

Big Biller is an ideal choice for an ATS system from all aspects.

We've used BB with my current company and previous company. I've found it limiting in terms of searches; documenting, and call planning. Some of my peers that own agencies have gone to other services.
Also, I just bought a Mac and have recently found out that BB is not compatible with it.

We love using the Big Biller application. It is easy to use and easy for training new users. They provide an ample amount of training for new users and the tech support and data conversion teams are quick and a delight to work with.

Pros

Easy to use. Technical support staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Inexpensive to operate and maintain.

Great product. Easy to manage, plan and track for data purposes, internal reporting, and emailing sync to our email.

Pros

Price, on-line support, on-going training.

Cons

When a person goes to a new company, it would be better if a new field opened (number 1, employment history) so that we wouldn't have to erase and drop everything back (previous companies) down a field and rewrite their companies, titles, etc.

Merge requests, great to have YOUR support to do it for us, but I kind of feel bad having to ask often and wish I could just do it on my own.

I have over 30-year experience in recruiting and have used several databases during that time. It is a great ATS but lacks as a CRM/sale process tool. It is complete and thorough and easy to use. It is no overly complex. You use most all of the features. Most records or entries are usually no more than 2 clicks away. The parsing feature is invaluable - just ask us old timers that had to OTC faxed resumes and still correct them by hand. The CRM/sales process is not as efficient as the ATS functions, as this is an ATS. But the new database should have new CRM features. I would like a little better metric report system, but I am not sure why or what would be better, It just not as comfortable as some dashboards that I have used. And some of the features I am sure will be updated I.e. emails - auto-type entry, cut and paste pics and data, integration with calendars, also even VOIP systems. (click on the number to dial).
It is sometimes not as intuitive as it should be but I think most of that is being addressed. Also, I think it should have some accounting info, placement data information, for both full time and temp. Nothing exotic by can be integrated with popular accounting systems. Support and assistance are easily 5 stars, everyone is willing to help one on one. People are reasonably easy to contact. And everyone speaks excellent English and are culturally aware.

Pros

Ease of use but thorough. Parsing is awesome. Great customer service. Big enough company to fill the needs of a database and support, but not so big that there are barriers to info and exchange of ideas, suggestions or problems

Cons

Needs some updating on processes - one click instead of 2. Not a very good CRM. the 'note' field does not automatically save. I have seen an hour interviewing a candidate and then go to another record and forgot to save the notes. This really hurts production, efficiency and credibility with clients candidates.
Better CRM/Sales pipeline mgt system. Able to select the names in the quick add field of a company record to email a specific person in a campaign. Otherwise, you can't organize by company status (Lead, prospect, account etc) and you have to enter the names manually in a hot list to be emailed.

Advice to Others

The product is well priced, complete but not overly complex. I would recommend it to any small or midsize staffing company or even a large company if you don't need all the bells and whistles. I like those additional users are inexpensive to enroll.

Easy to use, search, and enter basic info on a candidate.

Cons

On the skills section, it is cumbersome to put relevant skills into the profile.Limit on the number of characters you can type if the skills are not picked up and you want to add others. Only scans for the ones at the top of the recruiter's list in the skills section. Time-consuming but an important step when you are searching for a candidate with certain skills. You miss good candidates because the skills you are seeking, although they have them, are not listed on their profile.

Advice to Others

I would still recommend the Big Biller software.

As a small, boutique firm, efficiency is so important as we are doing a lot with a little! Big Biller is easy to use, simple to track where candidates are in the pipeline and simple to upload resumes.

Pros

Cons

Does not integrate with all versions of Outlook so you will have to manually request resumes being uploaded.

The software is easy to use, does everything I need it to and is very affordable. The customer service is based in the US and always resolves the problem.

Cons

The customer service used to pick up quicker or call back quicker. The reporting on the Pipeline when you convert to an excel spreadsheet doesn't have a place for notes. Or conversely, the pipeline doesn't have a column for "Company". I've been going on about this since 2010 and nothing has changed.

Advice to Others

I've been working with Big Biller many years. Its easy to use and stable. Brought a team of recruiting partners onto BB several years ago because of its ease of use.

Pros

I work with 7 other recruiting partners with different levels of sophistication using software products. We had used other ATS products but Big Biller was the one that was the easiest to use and the group stuck with. It's stable, easy to access on-line and uncomplicated. There is also some degree of customization allowed.

Cons

Not as feature rich as other products. BB's own email has been somewhat problematic due to some servers kicking out email sent from Big Biller thinking it was spam. I now send all emails through outlook. The only problem is the outlook integration with BB is clunky. You have to manually hit a button for each email you send or want to attach to a record on BB.

Advice to Others

If you don't mind the extra work with manual Outlook email integration and want a stable basic recruiting ats platform, then Big Biller can be a great value.

This is a wonderful tool for a small or medium-sized staffing firm, there are easy tools to see where you are in process on a search, and some customizing available on the names of your activities. Easy to use, super great for workers who are not as technically literate. Keeps your sales folks on the phone instead of trying to figure out the technology. Great tech support, they always answer me back within 15 minutes and are rarely needed.

Pros

Great price for smaller shops to be able to track a placement from start to finish. The customization available to you plus their stellar customer service, training and support response times are fantastic.

Pros

Big Biller really makes an external recruiter's job much easier whether you do perm placement or contract.

Cons

You can only parse 25 resumes at a time.

After our antique ATS crashed, we grudgingly admitted it was time to upgrade to a new system. We researched and watched demos and participated in trials. We listened to sales pitches and read customer reviews. We purchased and implemented one expensive ATS, but it was so feature-rich that, while our managers were excited, our users were intimidated and overwhelmed and didn’t use it. Big Biller offered exactly what we needed with a user-friendly, simple interface, and excellent pricing. The implementation was painless, training was easy to access, and tech support is responsive. We’re happy to have found Big Biller for our recruiting business.

Great company, great software, and great customer support!!! I would like to get the outlook bigbiller addin problem fixed but that is my only complaint. Other than that we have had no problems.
