Zoho Recruit is a web-based recruiting solution for small to mid-sized businesses. The software's comprehensive applicant tracking system (ATS) includes resume parsing, automated job board posting, customized company careers pages, resume storage, and interview scheduling. Zoho's offerings include multiple specialized applications created to help users collaborate with their peers to increase productivity.

Zoho Recruit enhances the visibility of company job openings by creating a customized career webpage of the company and extend the reach by using popular job boards, social media sites, and direct sourcing. The career page developed by the software lists every job opening with complete descriptions and accepts applications for multiple job openings. The solution provides a candidate login where candidates can set up their user profiles and apply for multiple jobs.

Zoho Recruit integrates with Google applications, such as Google Calendar, to save time and forego repetitive data entry. The software is available free with limited features and the upgraded versions are available on a per month subscription basis.

I have not had one single technical issue. That's a HUGE PLUS! I have used and evaluated several of the big recruiting platforms. I'm super impressed with Zoho!

Pros

I love the low price - we have just one user and needed an easy-to-use solution to store resumes, interview notes, sources etc. I can only speak to using it for hundreds of resumes (which I do), versus thousands. I'm not sure how it would perform then. There are a lot more features to use - like tracking job requirements. They have a lot of customizable features (that you do yourself).

Cons

There are a lot of reporting options but it's not quite as intuitive to use as I'd like. I need to work with it more.

The product has all the major features advertised by most ATS's. It may not have the corporate quality as other ATS's but can definitely get the job done.

Cons

Customer service is horrible. Takes weeks to get certain issues resolved. Still a good amount of bugs when you try to implement automation in your workflow so.

Cons

It is much cheaper than others I've looked into, so you are getting what you pay for.

Pros

Although we have to modify it to get what we want out of it, at least it has some customization abilities.

Cons

Seems like we have to make it do what we want. I do not like the customer service. It takes a while for them to get back to you and once they do it seems to always be via email.

Great choice especially for smaller recruiting firm and without having to spend a lot of money to get a fully functional system to meet your needs.

Pros

After spending more money on another applicant tracking system (ATS) I regret not using Zoho sooner. Zoho Recruit has an excellent resume parsing system for resume and easier to manage than even other more expensive ATS systems. The software also picks up the important skill sets listed on the resume without you having to enter it. The pricing is extremely reasonable for a smaller business. I can spend $ a year or $ a month for the standard version. It also integrates easily with Indeed.com if you would like to find potential candidates (you still need an Indeed membership). Their customer service team is very responsive.

Cons

I would like the software to more easily integrate with other web content such as copying contact information from websites.

Great value for the money. Very comprehensive product offering. We switched from Bullhorn to Zoho Recruit - no comparison. Zoho recruit is a far superior platform. Our teams would highly recommend Zoho Recruit!

Pros

Highly customizable, easy to use, loaded with features, fully integrated with Google Apps along with wide variety of other Zoho integrated products - many of which we use and love! Super easy to post positions. Tech support has come a long way over the past few months - they are very responsive and have prompt and thorough resolutions! And the pricing structure is AMAZING!!!

Cons

A few of the search features could use a bit of work (they're minor in return for all the other features that you get) and we're told they will be addressed in the next update due out soon.

After a lot of research and comparing tools to find the most productive CRM for our recruitment business we tried Zoho and I can warmly recommend other small recruitment companies who are looking for a CRM tool that is adjustable to fit the core business without to much administration.

We are a recent startup Recruitment Company that selected Zoho for ATS and CRM purposes after reviewing numerous other software options. With the introduction of numerous Cloud products, we quickly established that a wide number of options in the market are extremely rigid with a lack of customisation. If you're willing to get your hands dirty (which we are), you're able to really bespoke the system to your recruitment needs. Of course there are some functionality limitations which could be made better however the customisation is much more extensive then other demos we have gone through.

From a CRM perspective for our needs, it ticks all the boxes and from a Recruitment Agency perspective it does a good job of Parsing multiple CV's and has allowed us to setup numerous reports and forecast stages. Overall it does the trick for a startup and growing company who are ultimately looking at their cashflow within the first few years however there are areas we have been informed are on the roadmap which they need to make happen.

Customer Support has been extremely good.

Pros

- Customisation Options in terms of Field/Layout Management
- CV Parsing
- App - Smart Device App is really nice
- Searching / Reporting Capabilities
- Standard functionality is better than others in the market

Cons

- Lack of Radius Search from a Candidate perspective which isn't ideal when searching for candidates near a certain location
- Lack of Office365 Outlook Integration (this is on the roadmap however isn't ideal)
- Skilling / Capabilities is my largest bugbear as it isn't as intuitive as other options from a recruitment perspective
- Some rigid functionality where you can't remove and edit certain fields.
- No Linkedin stripping functionality

Advice to Others

If you're a recruiter who is happy to put some leg work in with setting up the system for your needs than it will be the product for you however if you're not as tech savvy and need the features above from the off, you may face some frustrations.

However, if you have a well established market, know your niche and just need something to host profiles and do basic searches then it will do the trick.

I'm simply trying to update all phone numbers with a format of ###-###-#### and ZOHO cannot import data extracted from it's own system back into correct records.
SIMPLE duplicate checking on EMAIL field ONLY!
no First, Last, Phone#, First, Last, Mobile, Address or ANY other checking is done for DUPLICATES (ONLY EMAIL - which is a PROBLEM when 2 people share the same email address)

I'm an avid Zoho fan anyway but the fact they have recruitment portal as well means i can keep everything in one place without having to juggle loads of different screens, etc. Took a while to get used to but it has all the features others have and works great!

Perfect ATS!

After 20 years in the staffing agency, I've used every ATS you can think of. Now being freelance, I needed to find an ATS that would be used for a multi-million dollar staffing agency for myself without breaking the bank. Zoho did just that! I looked for, and tried, several ATS programs. None of them even came close to the capabilities of Zoho Recruit and cost 300% more. I wouldn't dream of using anything but Zoho.

Pros

It's easy to use and tracks every little detail of the hiring process. Even better, you can customize the input fields to match your specific need/wants.

Cons

I didn't have the greatest experience the first (and only) time I had to call customer service. The lady on the other end was relatively rude and abrupt.

Advice to Others

Dump your other ATS! Zoho is where it's at!

I am enjoying the ease with which I could get started in managing incoming candidates, their records, and how I could follow them through the process.

Phone app.

Cons

What I'm not liking is specifically the email automated process and the email template integration. I have not been able to preview the information using an actual record which has led to some issues already. Further, I am not even sure the system is even sending emails unless someone responds to one.

No IPad Pro App. I have used the phone app, and used Recruit through the 12" iPad Pro and it doesn't interface well through a browser and the phone app is exactly that, a magnified version of the iPhone app.

The benefit for me is that I have a place to mange my recruitment activities that doesn't conflict with my business-driving activities. This makes it much easier to manage than if I had to do this on paper.

Once I am more comfortable with it I will be telling others in my organization about this software.

Pros

I like that I can manage the candidates as they go throught the process. I especially like how I can attach resumes, rate them, and move on easily with the phone app so that I can easily leave to interview them without going to the office for all the records.

Cons

I'm especially not liking the automated process and email templates for when an interview is scheduled and how the phone app doesn't seem to sync changes to records well.

Back to the email templates, I can put the codes in to customize but there is no way for me to preview the format with an actual records data to ensure that it populates properly. I also don't have any indication when or if it actually sends an email or not.

the best feature of the software is that you can customise it according to your requirements. few features I want to mention here are:
1. You can attach all the documentations from Client and Candidates (such as Contract Agreement and all other documents which are legally required for Client. For Candidates, you can add from their CVs to their offer letter.
2. Attachment Category is a very helpful tool for each Module.
3. CV Parsing feature is amazing
list will go on and on - - if you want to see the real difference in your organisation try Zoho Recruit.

Cons

the only issue is that the customer service is not up to the standards, you have to make changes yourself and sometimes it take so long (especially if you are not a technical person) to figure out ways to amend the software to your requirements. If Zoho improves the Customer Support that would be Dust on Gold.

Not good customization forecast detail,. May end up buying other apps. Unfornately, Zoho doesn't have payroll app yet which may lead you to reconsider it use for your company.

Saves time and money - fairly inexpensive and has many tools that save hours of time manually entering information.

Pros

Easy to use, customizable, very easy to post to multiple job boards and has resume parse function, which is great.

Cons

The layout isn't the best, would like a little more flexibility with fields, but overall, great product. I love the suite of services they offer.

I like how easy the interface is to use and customize to make sure that it fit my needs of my recruiting process and change the terms of my industry.

Cons

I have been using the Sales CRM for a few years now for my sales side of the business and have been promoting it for years. I was excited to use the recruiting version of their software but was disappointed that it didn't have some of the key functions that I like.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use their platform and that it is customizable for my needs and my industry.

Cons

I have been using the ZOHO Sales CRM for a few years now and have sent a number of people to use that platform especially once their update came out a couple of years ago. I was excited to start trying the recruiting CRM however I was disappointed that it didn't have the same features

Cons

We need a solution which is compliant with Russian law, meaning the server (data) must be saved here. So far this is not implemented but in process as the ZOHO team promised us.

applicant tracking system

Pros

cheap firstly and it allows to adapt our processes to it. Its an ok product for the price it costs.

Cons

Its generally speaking ok, we just need it for an applicant tracking system. It does not integrate with social talent.
