LiquorPOS includes a full suite of applications that includes a point of sale (POS), inventory control, customer management, reporting and much more. The solution is able to manage liquor stores of all sizes.

LiquorPOS also provides retailers with a large database that includes over 15,000 items, products and terms that are common to the industry. Users don't have to manually input all the products in a store. The system also contains over 1,000 drink recipes built in, giving users the potential to encourage the sale of additional mixers or accessories.

All necessary POS functions are included, and LiquorPOS supports most standard POS peripherals.

It's overall reliable and provides the basic functionality you'd expect from a POS system, i.e. inventory management, barcode scanning, basic sales reports.

Likes Least

Customized reports, Web interactivity, uploading/ downloading data in common file types.

Recommendations

Expect what's available out of the box. Everything works well as long as you conform your needs to the system.

I am sure that this program has a lot of advantages and will be great in the future.

The supplied manual only covers a few very basic issues that a business needs. It is worthless when it comes to actual inventory control. There is nothing in it for how to receive an order from a distributor. It appears to me that the sole purpose of the manual is to get you to buy their support package. This support package is good for 30 minutes worth of support a month ONLY DURING EASTERN TIME support hours. It IS NOT 24/7 as I was told. Additional charges (of course) can be assessed for using more than 30 minutes of support phone time. (I have not used it, but considering the whole manual trap I would not be surprised if the phone support was designed to burn up your 30 minutes waiting for them to "find" the answer. I have not used it yet.)

Recommendations

If you know how to use this type of software it is probably great.

If you don't it is a nightmare.

The manual is next to worthless.

The knowledge base on line is hard to find things in, requiring repeated search criteria trying to find something that will work. It appears to not cover a lot of items that are important for running your business (probably in an effort to get you to use their support package).

I am at a loss as to whether to keep trying to figure this nightmare out or get something different.

My negativity is mostly due to my lack of experience with the product and the vendor's seemingly greedy support of their product.
