Fulfillment is very simple. It wasn't hard to export orders and import orders.

What I like best about this product is that it is easy to use and the vendor has excellent customer service!

The ease of training new employees, the ability to connect to most any 3rd party shopping cart, the EDI functionality. The auto-billing feature is an enormous time-saver. I really appreciate that 3PL Central is also looking to improve their software and will take input from their clients as to updates and changes that would be beneficial.

3PLCentral is constantly making improvements and updates to make the system more efficient, user friendly and to meet the changing demands of the 3PL market. That being said, their documentation and notices surrounding the updates could improve dramatically.

Recommendations

Map out your entire process and then review how 3PL Central mandates the process to be performed. I would suggest being open to changing your own process as generally speaking 3PL Central methodology is clean with little to no redundant actions. There are cost savings relative to labor to be found - if you look.

API integrations to shopping carts & OMS's, automated capture of billing events, automated email notifications, FTP export automation, client-facing visibility & inventory related reporting, RF functionality is good not great, customer support is very responsive.

SOAP APIs need better documentation (hopefully improved in new REST APIs), system can be slow during peak times (Monday mornings), need more focus on B2C pick & pack functionality (pick strategies, replenishment, location-based allocation options).

Recommendations

Run through your workflow on demos, don't be afraid to adjust your workflow to software capabilities instead of the other way around.

They have a true cloud based WMS solution that we can access anywhere. The user interface is easy to navigate and understand. Support inquiries are handled quickly and professionally. System feels like 100% up-time. Regular updates and feature enhancements. All reports are customizable to fit our needs.

The look of the software could be refreshed, but they are already working on it from what I understand. That being said, their current look is much newer than other WMS solutions we experienced/reviewed/demoed.

Recommendations

A true SaaS solution is the best way to go! Don't get fooled into a vendor hosting your version of the WMS on their servers. Count the number of clicks it takes to complete and inbound/outbound. Bells and whistles don't matter if the core functionality is not solid. Ask to talk with one of their current customers as a referral. Ask why their last customer ended relationship with them.

We like the ease of set up, use, and that 3PL Central is cloud based. No servers or software updates to worry about. Our staff and our clients really enjoy the access and ease of use. My staff and I can look take care of orders and inventory questions immediately in real time. The auto notifications are great that can be set up to notify clients of activity. The system is pretty well designed and has been very reliable.

When asking for help or working through issue your request drops into a cue and you don't always get the same support tech. It would be nice to assign a primary staff member to an account. I understand the challenges of managing this but it would be a plus and could lead to improved productivity by the 3PL Help Desk Support staff. Overall I've been pleased with how most of the issues have gotten resolved (there haven't been that many). Thankfully!

Recommendations

Some people might shy away from "cloud" based solutions! Don't! You NEED TO BE LIKE A MOTH to a FLAME! it's the only way to go!

Our organization switched to 3PL Central from a competitor's warehouse management system. The program we were using did not have the functionality that our company demanded, and their customer service was non-existent. This called us to make a change in order to improve how we handled and organized our inventory.

After reviewing multiple different warehouse management systems, we decided that 3PL Central would be the best fit. Their program encompassed all of the functions that we needed to maintain an accurate inventory count in a user-friendly interface, while also backing that up with Grade A customer service.

We have currently been using 3PL Central for two months and are much happier than we ever were before with our old WMS. 3PL Central has helped us to completely overhaul and organize our inventory in a way we never were able to before. Our team has also smoothly transitioned into the use of 3PL Central. They find it much easier to navigate than our past systems.

Through our use of 3PL Central, thus far, anytime we have encountered an issue, their customer service has addressed the issue within a matter of hours. Their customer service is prompt and thorough in handling problems the instance they arise.

Our organization is very pleased in the decision to switch to 3PL Central!

We are a transportation consulting business with a freight brokerage and have recently acquired a warehouse to become more of a full service 3PL. With the warehouse we wanted software that was truly in the cloud and available online from anywhere in the world, anytime. We also wanted to keep our costs low and this was the only software we found that was completely online with monthly fees as opposed to large capital investments for 'hosted servers' and 'hosted software.' Before we chose this software we used a manual system of spreadsheets to track everything.

We purchased the software in January 2013 - they had us up and running in 1 DAY! Parts of 3PL Warehouse Manager are intuitive enough that we were able to begin using some of the system immediately. They had us completely trained us within a few days of go-live and have been responsive to all of our questions and concerns.

3PL Warehouse is a very cost-effective completely on-line software that works well for our application - multiple customers, multiple warehouses, multiple points of input, multiple users - all for one low cost. The detail for our billing has also prevented any discrepancies regarding our invoices. We also now have attracted potential customers that warehouse smaller amounts of goods but are not provided any real-time access to inventory lists, etc - which we can now provide for very little overhead.

Of course, as with any software, there are things we would like to work differently - some latency (software and/or network) and overall design of multiple clicks to get to entry screens have increased data entry time - correcting errors, especially in inventory, is difficult and we've had to design procedural work-arounds for a few functions that seem like the software could have features to remedy or provide. However, in general, these nuisances are a small price to pay for all of the added benefits we get from it. Especially since the cost is so low!

Additionally, 3PL Central has been fantastic to work with - flexible and responsive - and we are extremely happy with our purchase!
