The Appian routing and scheduling software applications from TMW Systems help 3PLs, private and dedicated fleets, service and delivery operations to improve their transportation planning and execution while also cutting costs. Appian DirectRoute optimizes transportation planning for lowest total cost and the most efficient use of available resources.
Appian routes technologies with street-level, last-mile mapping details create accurate delivery or service schedules that improve customer service levels while squeezing waste from transportation business operations.
Appian DirectRoute can be used with optional tools such as Appian SchedulePro, ResourcePro and TerritoryPro to address specialized planning problems, even freight network analysis and modeling or fast and accurate bid response to shipper RFPs. The applications support fixed or dynamic routing, local, regional and long haul, single or multi-day planning, multiple modes and depots and high customer density management, with street-level routing and turn-by-turn directions, optimized scheduling and financial analytics.
Appian DirectRoute is in wide use in a number of industries, including direct store delivery (DSD), food and beverage distribution, manufacturing and retail delivery, lab services and medical equipment delivery, food banks, building supply distribution, janitorial supply distribution and dedicated fleet operations. It works easily with various order management systems and TMS applications.
A single planner or dispatcher using DirectRoute can complete trip planning and routing tasks in minutes instead of hours. These highly efficient routes and schedules reduce the number of trucks and drivers required, along with total miles and total hours driven, for significant transportation cost savings while still maintaining the highest levels of service to end customers.

Our company transferred from Paragon to this tool about 2 years ago and it is a nice tool to have. We use this a lot primarily in route optimization solutions design.
A lot more functionalities than other routing tools
Can deal with complex solutions, including layover routes
Hosted remotely on TMW server, so very slow in motion and frequently crashes
Not user friendly at all.. and a lot of the settings are very confusing or not working properly when complexity level elevates
