Don founded Software Advice after noticing first hand the lack of quality research on industry-specific software systems. Analytical by nature, Don actually enjoys making sense of complex markets. Today, most of his time is spent working with software vendors to understand their products, while managing the developers that continue to enhance the Software Advice database. Prior to Software Advice, Don worked as a software company executive in Silicon Valley and as an equity research analyst on Wall Street. Don earned a degree in economics from Princeton University.
Austin is responsible for Software Advice’s marketing and business development. It's his job to get the word out about Software Advice through search engines, Internet advertising and partnerships with other websites and industry associations. He also spends a large portion of his day on the phone with software buyers. Prior to Software Advice, Austin worked as a project manager for an Atlanta, Georgia homebuilder and developer. Austin earned a degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University.
Houston works with Austin to execute Software Advice's marketing and business development programs. He spends most of his time identifying opportunities to partner with other websites and organizations. Prior to Software Advice, Houston worked as media producer at an Internet start-up and as an Internet marketing consultant helping business develop their presence on the web. Houston earned a degree in mass communications from Olivet Nazarene University.
