Highfive is a vendor that creates video conferencing software and in-room video system hardware. Licensing is on a per-room basis, with unlimited users and usage and no named user fees.
Subscriptions to Highfive’s cloud-based services are on an annual basis. Services are priced according to two tiers, with the premium tier allowing for 15 callers per meeting and the basic tier allowing for eight.
Highfive’s software can handle video conferencing, web conferencing and screen sharing. Users have the option to initiate a video conference on a desktop device and then move the call to a TV screen or vice versa.
Participants don’t need PINs to join video calls or conferences—users can simply send them a link. Users can also initiate and manage video calls and Web conferences from Android phones, iPhones and iPads using Highfive’s app.
The Highfive in-room device uses Bluetooth technology to enable wireless projection of conferences to TV screens. It also features an HD camera and a high-fidelity mic.
