Excellent Product
GREAT EXPERIENCE - the support is EXCELLENT - I have had terrific luck with Eldermark and the help we have needed. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good Assisted living program. I have worked with eldermark for 8 years now and am extremely happy! Thanks for keeping this product so up to date.
PROSThis product is extremely user friendly. Once you learn your way around the program it's great to make corrections or add or subtract any information that is incorrect. There are good blocks in place so only those who have access can make pertinent changes. The product works well at the facility for the nursing staff and for the Office in the accounting area. I would highly recommend this product.
CONSIt would be terrific if you could put in notes on a resident chart that would auto pop up when you go into the chart - things you need to remember moving forward, lets say I have a resident who is getting something as a free service for just specific dates and I need to remember this. It would be perfect if we could put in the note someplace then when the record comes up, that note pops up to remember the item - One other thing, we have 14 facilities, if we could search a resident name over all the facilities instead of having to go into each facility to search it would be a time saver.

we started with Eldermark and then our company was purchased by a new [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who wanted to use Point Click Care. We used it for about 8 months and found it was not working well for the assisted living at all. We were very happy to switch back to eldermark!

Eldermark the tool we use for everything AL
Overall, its been great working with Eldermark and their team. We find more and more uses for the software everyday, but mainly use it for Marketing management and Resident Charts.
PROSBeing the person that does almost all the installation, training and follow-up tech support on the software at are corporate office, I can tell you that I have worked in every area of the software. From entering in prospects and moving in a resident to setting up new users, I have done it all. Eldermark has been a dream to work with, user-friendly for all types of employees, excellent customer service and my support team are always available with the answers I need. The IT team is always working with me on upgrades, personalization of their tools and just overall support of the software. Their top management is even willing to step in and be a part of the team, they seem very involved with the day to day. To me customer service is the most important thing, everything else is trivial and can be worked thru.
CONSThe only thing that we are really struggling with this, is not being able to do some kind of live or alert charting that can be accessed anywhere. With so many of our staff working at multiple locations, it would make it alot easier to be able to review any chart updates from anywhere.

It was not user friendly and they were not willing to allow us to use our own evaluations and assessment tools.

Eldermark Clinical EHR Functionality / User Support Feedback
I have worked with Eldermark for 20 years so it has been a work in progress, building relationships, and sharing experiences. I love the support model because it provides a quick resolution while the user is on the all with the support person. I feel my experience and knowledge is respected. Eldermark and Ecumen can work together to come to a common ground on requests. I have had times where I think Eldermark has not explored the needs of their clients enough and sometimes seems to wait for the user to ask where certain things are. Examples: AL Licensure 8/1/21 Not prepared to create a lease, SA, and additional addendums with a full electronic signature. The e-signature that was there was not fully functional. Not prepared to add the new MN Client Rosters until we asked. They are ready now and in use. We always have had lots of assistance when we reach out. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] have been wonderful to work with. We can be honest and respect what we share.
PROSThe eMar is user-friendly and offers lots of options. The Assessment w/ Pts driven Level of Care has a good customizable process to capture services in a detailed manner.
CONSIt is a deficit that Service Minder is not web-based. The user interface is antiquated because of it and certain functionalities can't be used. Download documents in the lease setup which creates users to have to use a partial paper process.
Reason for choosing Eldermark
Ecumen chose to stay with Eldermark because of our long-term use of the product and working relationship. We have spent years customizing the product to company processes and know that well. We want to fine-tune our standardization and use more of what Eldermark has to offer.

Great Support for a Great Product
Overall, working with Eldermark has been a great experience! Staff are knowledgeable, helpful, professional, but easy to work with.
PROSThe support team is the best; they are always quick to respond and follow up. The overall ease of the product from a user standpoint is also great. Things are straightforward. There are little glitches and unscheduled downtimes and when there is one, it is fixed or addressed quickly.
CONSThat it is not web based. Finding customizations in user set up roles can be hard to navigate.
