The software is outdated that it is missing some of the features that most design tools would commonly have.

Its integration and BIM capabilities is a great feature and as BIM is becoming more widely adopted, this is a vital feature.

Mostly for government project , we need to work with so many reference file. Microstation only can solve for reference file problem.

I like the drafting tools as well as the tutorials to help me learn how to be productive with the software.

I like that you can bring INROADS into the software to build an alignment and take section views of the road.

Lately, as mentioned above, Microstation has been transitioning over to OpenRoads Designer Connect edition which is been difficult at times to work with.

Printing quality is good. Software system is quite good.

MicroStation is the best product for highway and bridge design. It is a very easy software to use and has a minimal learning curve.

The ease of use is amazing, I had never used microstation before starting at BV, and the learning curve for microstation was minimal.

Can't open different file in views at the same time, you can only work on one file at one time, which is inconvenient.

Microstation provides the ability for multiple discipline integration as well quality drafting/ modelling with a fairly easy to use layout.

Also has access to a robust user create digital warehouse and integration with Google Maps.

I love that Sketchup is integrated into other design software.

If you are using SketchUp for 3d models and building plan it’s a great software, and i find this too much user friendly and as easy as MS paint.

Occasionally I get stuck from a line that hasn’t been drawn on the same plane and it makes closing a surface area or project section out.

I liked the idea of SketchUp. It looked like a really cool design tool, I liked that it was free for schools and that it worked on Chromebooks.

Fair but needs more improvements for user experience and be more competitive.

This can be frustrating which is why a warning feature would be appreciated for this type of issue.

For example the 3D Text tool. You have it in both versions but the online one can't use personalized type fonts, so you are restricted to use only 5 or 6 predefined type fonts.

Excellent 3D modeling software. Fairly straightforward to use and the marketplace is very easy to use and has some fun additions to the design to make the model look more realistic.
