It supports manufacturing, mechanical engineering, tool and mold making, automotive and medical device workflows. Users can view, measure and annotate 3D models and 2D drawings, create cross-sections and exploded views, compare model revisions, and analyze wall thicknesses and collisions. These tools help purchasing, production planning and quality assurance teams assess parts and communicate technical information. CAD data is processed locally without uploading models to a cloud service. Three paid editions are available: Basic, Advanced and Premium. All provide the same viewing, measurement and analysis tools, while their supported import formats differ. Advanced adds CAD exchange formats such as STEP, IGES and Parasolid. Premium adds native CAD interfaces and includes the separate 3D-NativeCAD Converter for converting CAD data into exchange and visualization formats. Paid editions use one-time single-user licenses. A 14-day trial is available. Service updates within the purchased major version are free; upgrading to a new major version is opti... onal and may incur additional costs. The separate 3D-Tool Free Viewer opens STL, 3MF and 3D-Tool EXE/DDD files and is free for private and commercial use. It does not provide the full import capabilities of the paid editions.
