It is designed for engineers, service bureaus, dental labs, and scanning professionals who need to process large meshes and point clouds without relying on fragile manual workflows or expensive, oversized software suites. MeshInspector is powered by MeshLib SDK. The platform supports the full path from scan to mesh. Users can clean point clouds, remove noise and outliers, align and merge multiple scans, reconstruct surfaces, and generate watertight meshes from LiDAR, laser, structured-light, or photogrammetry data. Meshes can then be repaired, edited, optimized, measured, labeled, and prepared for downstream manufacturing or 3D printing. Dental and scan-based workflows can include CBCT visualization, density-based isolation, bone mesh extraction, retainer preparation, scan cleanup, base creation, and patient labeling. MeshInspector also helps teams verify that processed models meet their requirements. Tolerance controls, deviation maps, measurements, feature detection, and QA reports provide measurable evidence of geometry accuracy and reduce reliance on... visual inspection alone. The software is built for demanding datasets, including 10–50M+ triangle meshes, 50M–100M+ point clouds, and large CBCT datasets. For repeatable or high-volume work, teams can automate operations with in-app Python. MeshInspector also supports agentic workflows through MCP, allowing compatible AI assistants to control processing, repair, inspection, and conversion tasks within automated pipelines. MeshInspector runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, and the web. Files used in the web version are processed in the browser's local memory, while desktop files remain on the user's computer. It supports meshes, point clouds, volumetric data, distance maps, polylines, G-code, STEP files, and common formats such as STL, OBJ, PLY, E57, LAS, LAZ, DICOM, GLTF, and 3MF. No incentive was offered My experience with Mesh Inspector in one year of using was a great one. I help development team with pros and cons and I give them suggestions. And seems their development teams are very open to discussions and they implementes as fast as they could. Overall Mesh Inspector help my work when I need. I mean did my conversion from point cloud to STL like no other software on the market did so far. Seems to have best user interface from all I tested so far. - Can handle big files without computer issues. - Lots of tools for fix, edit, repair, conversion and so on.
