My experience has been great. We don't have an overly complicated marketing plan and this does everything that we need it to do.

Great for hosting multiple account instances, dedicated IP address, and easy to navigate.

Locked into a major contract, which even with their lack of performance, is tough to leave. Their UI is really, really bad.

I have used and reviewed many tools, but i will say Act-On is my favorite. Easy to use, and the best customer service of any of it's competitors.

It’s been a great tool but because we couldn’t utilize all the features internally, we had to hire a consultant.

Main dislike: More personalization for our sales force to view how their customers are responding.

They have been limited on their choices of stock email templates, but in August 2014, they are releasing a new builder, which should fix this tiny problem.

Their support is amazing now that they have the live chat option.

Our sales team is massively impressed with the capabilities and insights that Act-on provides through the integration with our CRM tool.

Ease of use and template share between markets is great.

Customer support is excellent, and the constant release of point upgrades and additional, no-charge functionality is awesome. We have massively improved the quality and volume of qualified leads.

Unfortunently there was no integration with our Sage CRM so in ways we were automating but then just creating more manual work on our part because of the lack of integration.

Reporting is quite good and easy to understand. Love the continuous product improvements that are made.

Great Automation Program, Especially for SugarCRM Users.

The product and Customer Support are great. Act-On was our company's first marketing automation platform, and there are others out there, but I think our decision was a good one.

This was disappointing and one of the reasons we bought it. No improvements have been made recently.

Our sales team loves Act-On, and how much control they have over what they see, and we in marketing love the intuitive interface and the ease of setting up nurturing campaigns.

This software has great features. Act On is easy to use with the available instructions and other help information.

Decent if you already have it and infrequently email. There are better solutions at lower prices.

My favorite piece is the email marketing (including their fantastic A/B testing), and their automated programs. Integrates extremely well with Salesforce.

Usability is very bad, and support is not very helpful when things are malfunctioning.

Since the very beginning of our relationship with Act-On, they have been helpful and have always been improving the product. It is a very intuitive tool and makes marketing fun and effective.

Overall, Dynamics CRM is the biggest problem; however, if Act-On is going to support its integration with the platform, it has to better understand it. Besides that, I like the tool.

Need more some updates! it sometimes lags when it browsing different sites and options.

We switched to Act On to be able to take advantage of setting up automated campaigns based on user behavior both in our emails and on our website.

Act-On has supplied us with a platform to create quality looking emails and marketing materials with ease.

The platforms has some strong segmentation abilities and offers a lot of integrations with other tools.

Overall I would give Act-On a low pass. The issues with customer service, slightly overpriced and the lack of proper development plagued my experience.

Once you learn it, you realize how nice of a tool it is. Email campaigns, lead scoring, assessing total voice of customer -- it's all there.

I used Apollo to prospect and cold call, and it has an amazing feature to search companies globally within the app and prospect (think ZoomInfo, but integrated).

Easy to use, great filters, fast, powerful. I loved the fact that you can insert personalised fields on emails.

I learned this the hard way when I thought I turned off a drip campaign but it was accidentally running for weeks.

Apollo does offer ease of use of contact, via direct dial functionality. It’s user views can be readily customized.

The customer support is impressive. After raising a ticket, it solves the issue within 24-72 hours and a live agent is also there to help.

It is easy to use and they do have good data, the interface is nice and they are constantly making updates.

Moreover, the ability to save the leads, and send them emails directly from this software are amazing features that very few tools of its kind generally provide.

Overall it's a great product at a competitive price. They have a decently sized database.

It’s a direct competitor to most Outreach tools and really does a nice job of keeping everything organized and in structured view.

When using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, you don't get the ability to specify the number of reps on a support team or sales team, but Apollo gives you that power.

No Zapier Integration, so was hard to try to sync up email prospecting in Apollo with the leads I had in my Close CRM without doing some manual work.

They give away quite a lot of leads for free. The onboarding experience is pretty sleek.

Great product if you're looking for a better way to prospect leads with more granularity & find their emails.

It's free and helps find emails. I like the interface also and that I can get email without going to the prospects page on LinkedIn.

The absolute best tool for finding emails for prospects. So easy to use and search for people.

However, and most importantly, the mass email functionality work okay but resulting in a large majority of my emails going to recipients spam folders.

Their Custer service is slow to respond, and often argumentative. It also severely limits users in texting and call functionality.

The sequence builder is way more streamlined than other SEPs and I complete tasks much faster because of the great UX.

There is no telling when they could place another limit for 1000 or 100 without any prior notice to their current users.

Apollo makes it easy to create custom filtered prospecting lists and drip campaigns. The sequencing is a nice feature.

Love that there is the Chrome Extension. Very easy to use the software.

A comprehensive prospecting tool that costs less than competitors.

What we like most about Apollo.io is the ability to find qualified, cold leads at scale. You are able to filter contact on nearly any type of qualifier, such as title, location, etc.

Integration with some of our existing systems could be difficult. That might have been partially due to them being legacy systems.

I really enjoyed using Apollo. It was quite expansive so I never used all the features.

The customer service is amazing. Personally met with the [SENSITIVE CONTENT] but their hands-on approach is needed to perfect the system.

Questionable business practices, lost thousands of leads.

I love the user interface and ease of use. I AM ABLE TO GET NEARLY 100's of leads every day.

You have to watch your sequences and how many emails are going out daily. They add up quickly and it damaged our domain reputation which took months to get back to normal.

It's like huge time saving for any executives or marketing professionals like myself.

It's the best strategy for outbound sales and inbound lead fielding for 2020 and beyond.

Apollo allows for this when setting up sequences. I was also really impressed with the prospecting tool for finding target companies and titles of prospects within those companies.

I have been getting lots of meetings, by using Apollo alone.

Poor, and we will not be renewing. They were either dishonest or unintentionally left out important information and were not clear in their findings on the test sample I sent them.

I really like using this tool. It has helped me a lot with the generation of valid B2B and B2C leads which has helped a lot in prospecting contacts.

Company lies on their website about what the business owner is to receive.

They are still struggling to have the right phone number for a couple of contacts.

And the company filters are almost endless: revenue, number of employees, software they use, and many more. That is highly useful in finding very qualified leads, with just a few clicks.
