Everyone I worked with from sales to implementation and support were very knowledgeable about fixed assets and depreciation. I had to switch software providers at the last minute due to a failed implementation and inability of the software to properly calculate depreciation in a multi-state and multi-book environment. Bassets was able to quickly pick up my account, get to work and delivery in a tight time frame. They have a system down that works. Customer support is the most responsive and thorough that I have ever worked with from a software provider. I have used several depreciation softwares over my career. I honestly would not spend the time or money to go with any provider other than Bassets. Bassets is a high quality, high value product. The support team post implementation was also very quick to respond to questions and troubleshoot. The people were able to deliver and meet my time frame without issue. Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like about Bassets. Reasons for choosing Bassets eDepreciation Industry was not able to deliver a reliable product. The beginning balances from a prior software were not carried over properly. The tax depreciation methods were continually set-up incorrectly. I reviewed the reports multiple times and sent them back on a weekly basis for 4 weeks with notes on what exactly needed to be fixed. Each time one error was fixed, another one was created. I was not allowed access during implementation to verify set-up parameters as I knew who they set-up the depreciation rules was not correct and that is why the outcome was wrong. I was told my the project manager that the team had performed data validation checks, however, I never saw evidence of that as the reports were always wrong. Finally after a total of 10 weeks (took them 6 weeks to actually set-up the file when they said it would be 2 weeks), I terminated the contract and went to Bassets. Reasons for switching to Bassets eDepreciation Depreciation was managed by the external accountants. We decided to take it in house and needed to purchase our own software. Read More DT Donna T.
