  • Pros

  • Its automation of financial tasks, robust reporting capabilities and integration with popular accounting software has greatly improved our financial processes.
  • My experience has been great. They eagerly accept user feedback and seem to want to improve, but I think they are doing great already.
  • I love seeing exactly when an expense report is going to be reimbursed and I love receiving notifications when a payment has been scheduled and when a payment is processing to hit my bank account.
  • Cons

  • I had problems reaching customer service when there was a problem and it wasn't always clear when there was a problem was it coming from my end or from the customer end.
  • At one point, we were unable to send a certain zero dollar invoice which was frustratign because even though it had no monetary or collections effect, it interrupted out logging process.
  • I feel things started getting worse around the time they went public, but that could be a coincidence. Pricing has gone up considerably in recent years.

  • I like the convenience of this. Super easy to suggest this payment method when a customer doesn't have cash, or prefers card payment over something like venmo or paypal.
  • I love being able to offer my customers the option of paying me with an emailed link. Many people do not like to give out their cc information and this is a great option for a direct sales business.
  • This software was excellent for ease of use and speed of accepted payments. Long the leader in this industry, we were thoroughly impressed.
  • Cons

  • The only downside to the Square software was the lack of Wi-Fi compatibility and the short distance the square had with Wi-Fi as it frequently was reconnecting.
  • Had to stop using as Clients disliked the extra charge on their account. We would have them use this to pay with credit cards on their accounts.
  • We are very disappointed with how long they will hold the funds before transferring, there is often no rhyme or reason as to the length of time the funds are held.
