Pros/Cons
Pros
- The ability to manage multiple companies in a single web application is great, as is the ability to manage multiple capital projects and convert compelted projects into assets.
- We've been able to track our fixed assets with ease. The rare times we've had a question, the BNA helpdesk has been friendly and responsive.
- I like the ease of inputting new assets. You can simply use the tab key to move from field to field and get assets entered quickly.
Cons
- The reports are somewhat difficult to customize and we had trouble getting them to be in a format that we wanted.
- The program has small font sizes and sometimes hard to see. The reporting is also a bit confusing once it's printed.
- Consolidated reporting is very poor. We need consolidated reporting similar to the desktop for our Tax Accountants.
Pros
- The customer support and ease of use has been fantastic. I have had to call Vertex for support, for recommendations on doing things and for knowledge on the product.
- Vertex Cloud has a very easy to use and comprehensive user interface, a robust product mapping capability, and the ability to user test within the interface.
- The customer service people are also exceptionally friendly and the Exchange provides a great opportunity to network with them and fellow colleagues.
Cons
- Single point of failure. If any part of the connection to Vertex is down the ERP system is unable to complete jobs.
- Does not work well with Firefox which is a browser our organization uses often, will often get glitchy or stop working entirely.
- The approach used seems inefficient. Error logging levels re address cleansing failures are cryptic at best.
