Overall, it’s a good step toward standardizing our forecasting and reporting processes without fully disrupting how the team currently works. It has helped me automate our P&Ls using our newly developed data warehouse, and it’s also helped us spot issues in the warehouse along the way, which was an added perk. Because portions of our data warehouse have been delayed, our Datarails implementation has been delayed as well. We were worried we might run out of time, but Datarails has continued to support us even though we’ve gone beyond the originally expected timeline. I’m very grateful for their patience. Cons: I was hoping to incorporate employer-paid federal, state, and local income tax tables into our employee cost budgeting, since all of our corporate employees work remotely across different states. However, Datarails didn’t have tax tables available, and neither did our payroll vendor. We could have done our own research and built the tax tables ourselves, but the time and effort required to keep them updated didn’t feel justifiable.
