Whenever we've had questions or run into something that didn't quite work the way we needed it to, their team has been quick to respond, often setting up a 1:1 video call so we could walk through the issue together in real time. - The communication and effectiveness of each staff member is remarkable. It combined a lot of functionality that was previously distributed across different spreadsheets and apps. It allows us to unify everything from application, to classroom management, to grading, and communication. We we forced to migrate mid-year from another platform and Lida helped us to get setup to begin in March. Lida listened to our needs and how our program was set-up and gave practicals on the best way for us to setup our school for the 25-26 school year. They also heard our feedback on what aspects are important to us and are re-programming some features to implement for our 25-26 school year. The team is quick to respond and we truly feel like they listen to our needs. Although DreamClass is unable to fulfill all of our needs at the moment, we have been encouraged that our feedback is heard and that they will look to revisit in the near future. We are happy with our decision to move to DreamClass and look forward to our long partnership! #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros Having the school calendar, student financials, attendance, assignments, SIS and applications all in one place is the greatest benefit. We had 4 different platforms prior to DreamClass and are now able to function as a school in one. This has been extremely effective and efficient. #### Cons Communication: We are a small private college and our students are all adults. Communication between students is a challenge as they are unable to communicate with their specific classes and have to click each student individually to send a message. Our Admin team are also instructors (professors); however, in order for students to message our admins, we have to be listed as instructors. Due to our size, we need more flexibility with communication. There is not 2-way communication; therefore, you are unable to reply to one another within DreamClass and can only reply via email when the message is sent through DreamClass. It would be more effective to have 2-way communication built in. Also, having communication notifications. Sometimes, there's a generic error "has associated data" which can be difficult to trace down, but the support staff is typically able to resolve it. I hope to have some sort of way to set up automatic payments for parents so it's even more easy for them to use! Lids has been a HUGE help and is so quick to respond with advice or videos on how to navigate any problems or questions that might arise. #### Cons I know that there is a lot of development going on, I hope to see in the future better report generators as far as gradebooks and information go. My favorite aspect of the company is the customer service. My point of contact, Lids, was always quick to reply and help solve any situation we encountered. The DreamClass team was able to customize our report cards that worked best for our school. I'm truly impressed at how quickly our problems were solved. I have never experienced such great service in the field of education. The first information system we contracted with was not a good fit for John Melvin University as it was designed for K-12. We used it for one semester while immediately searching for something else. During that search, we encountered DreamClass. DreamClass has offered several modifications, at every level, to ensure this system will work for our school. As a bonus, they also initially set up courses/programs. That is something we had to do ourselves in the original system.
