For example, there is no way to record/notify parents of missing assignments when using standards based grading in FACTS.

It was easy to use, I could get information about my kids and connect with their teachers.

Some functions in program are cumbersome and frustrating.

It is just annoying that I feel like it yells at me every day when I go to that section. Small annoyance really but still annoying.

However, after just a short time attempting to use it, I can truly say that it is about the worst grading program I have ever used.

It is a full SIS with some limitations, but that is to be expected for the price. Their customer service is primarily operated through chat and they do a good job.

I enjoy using it to check on my children and communication with teachers is such an ease.

FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment is great in compiling and organizing data. Every year, we would make our financial aid application available and have families fill it out.

Families find it frustrating if they are not online a lot or don't pay bills online. Paper invoices often get lost in mail.

I like most that it's cloud based, so administration can access from anywhere on or away from campus.

RenWeb is, by far, THE BEST and most user friendly software out there for school management.

They are also backed up by the excellent customer service provided by FACTS management.

We at our school love the fact that Facts is now integrated with Renweb.

Also, once you get their support team they are awesome when it comes to helping you understand what you need done.

Also, I don't like that late fees are not charged when the payment is late.

We love that we do not have to review families financials, that we depend on FACTS to review and make recommendations.

We had frequent complaints about how difficult the interface was for parents and teachers. Parents didn't like that they had to pay for the app.

This may seem petty, but with no option to disable this, it becomes quite annoying.

Yes, they get high marks for customer service from many users, but that customer service is necessary to compensate for all the inherent issues. I am so sorry we invested in Renweb.

Working for a small school means trying every way to save money and we were able to do that with this software.

I don't like the automatic late fees that FACTS imposes. I'd rather have a date I could add them manually.

Keeping up with all the charges and fees can be confusing for our families. We tend to get several calls weekly having to explain what the charges are for.

Gradebook can be difficult to use compared to other programs. We have just started using it and at the moment it is not completely syncing with our other programs.

You have to set the fields and ranges and then waste time running a report to see if it works.

I have used this program  as a parent and as a teacher. As a teacher it is fabulous.

For example, in regards to attendance, it is hard for us teachers to adjust the attendance after they have been entered as absent in first period, but they show up later in third period.

The integration with other systems and the wealth of dashboard options allows for all things to be managed in one system.

Skyward crashes on occasion, which can be very frustrating as when it goes down, our entire system hits a roadblock. It doesn't happen frequently, but when it does, it's very much an inconvenience.

Skyward I am sure has many functions that I have not been trained to used. I feel good software should be user friendly and somewhat intuitive; Skyward is not.

I love that I can send mass emails to all parents. I am impressed by some of the reports that I can generate from the website.

They are always improving and keeping up with current trends. Skyward has absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service.

The best feature to me is that everything is in one place. Having multiple systems to manage makes data tracking much more difficult.

It is somewhat difficult to learn. There are many variables that can confuse teachers in creating gradebooks and in accessing information.

Skyward is a fantastic program and quite simply I cannot imagine doing my job without it.

I am so glad that my child is a senior this year and I will never have to deal with this substandard software package again.

One of my favorite things about Skyward was the ease that went into transferring grades if a student was moved from one class to another.

It does not integrate with anything. It is extremely difficult to import grades from any other program or online curriculum/grading system.
