Great tool for visibility and review
FloQast uses CSMs to keep in touch with the customers and keep customers up to date. The support team is extrememly responsive and can help you work through any changes you want to make.
PROSOverall platform helps for overall visibility into reconciliation issues globally and drives uniform use for accounts and reconciliation methods. We also rely on the auto features to highlight unexpected general ledger accounts changes and errors in journal entries.
CONSWe don't have many cons. We are excited that FloQast is developing tools to help expand the use.

Increase viability and efficiency with FloQast
FloQast has been an amazing experience. The integration and rollout of the product was truly easy and the FloQast support team was second to none. FloQast has made close more efficient and more visible which has allowed our company to close faster and focus on process improvements.
PROSThe integration of FloQast with our ERP system was seamless. FloQast is a simple and ease to use product which helps with rolling out the product to the business and adoption of users. The product has helped give visibility into the close process at each operation business unit and helped us gain more efficiencies in the close process. Additionally by utilizing the perm file - we are able to how desktop procedures and other important information in one place that helps with onboarding new employees/retaining knowledge.
CONSThe Compliance function i believe needs to be built out more. While this is a new product with FloQast and constantly being improved, AuditBoard is currently a solution that is better for a public company's needs/

Floqast allowed us to efficiently implement a month end close process making review easier
Better insight into our month end close for timeliness and accuracy.
PROSThe pros are ease of use and modification. The website is intuitive to use and has good visuals. The ability to link to our existing process allowed for easy implementation and instruction to our staff. The customer support has also been great with short response times for almost any issue. The FQ team have regularly reached out regarding additional items that could be added to the platform as well.
CONSOne of the cons we have run into is our use of OneDrive but some of our connectivity issues are not attributed to Floqast specifically. The biggest downside for our use of the system has been the inability to separate reviewer and preparer from having something due. If the preparer has not completed the task it is still shown as open for the reviewer. This also affects analytics as a reviewer can't control the timeliness of the preparer in some cases.

Great application for early stage startup to mature public company

PROSI love the ease of use, customization, and scalability. FloQast is a must-have tool to optimize your MEC processes. When I joined my last company, we had ~300 reconciliations and only ~150 checklist items. At the end of our close optimization sprint, we had over 600 checklist steps. The increased documentation allowed us to improve consistency and efficiency, and allowed us to facilitate team changes (both planned and unplanned).
CONSLast time I checked, the bank rec automation tool wasn't fully integrated with our banking system and ERP, which didn't allow us to maximize the efficiency of the tool.

Floqast is an excellent platform to help streamline the close process
I would choose Floqast time and time over. I've been at other companies that have not adopted a central close platform and it makes a huge difference in knowing the status of close and who/what needs most attention to push close to the finish line. The Floqast team is always responsive and open to critique and you can tell they really adore their product and care about making it better by constantly producing value added features for its end user.
PROSFloqast allows your whole month end process to be viewed within one easy to use website that syncs with the some of the biggest ERP systems. We can get real time updates with a click of a button which allows us to be in the know when it matters most. Long gone are the days of emailing for approvals and forcing even more items into your work inbox. Floqast can easily communicate in Slack and other communication apps to alert you immediately of items needing your attention. The auto rec recon functionality also carries the ability to replace cumbersome excel recons. Overall it's a fantastic, affordable, and cutting edge product that I would recommend to any size accounting/finance team.
CONSFloqast is still in the improvement stage of some of their features which are a bit more time consuming then they could be. The uploading of account recons require you to go into folders, remember which folder your rec is in, and scroll to upload. This could be improved by just allowing a recon to attach directly on the recon tab of Floqast. Another area that could be improved is auto rec sync with ERP systems because it picks up any new additions in your GL but will not remove any items you may have removed/reclassed out of that specific GL account. With numerous hands in one account, this causes some headaches not knowing when items are removed and remain unmatched in the recon.

Floqast helps me stay organized and stick to close and reporting deadlines
It has been massively helpful for me, particularly when it comes to close. Prior to using Floqast I was using a checklist on Excel, and now I'm not sure what I would do without FQ.
PROSFloqast is very easy to use and is visually quite simple. I love that it shows a screenshot of due dates and how far along tasks are so I can tell just from a glance how close I am to finishing close, or other projects. I can put my weekly to-do tasks in as well so nothing slips through the cracks. The weekly to-do lists that are emailed out are also very helpful in deciding what my week is going to look like and where my focus should be.
CONSThere isn't much I don't like about Floqast. It can sometimes take a few minutes for the Trial Balance totals to update, but it's nothing outrageous.

I would 100% Reccomend
We keep a lot of our records in here and give our auditors access to these checklist items, so this has saved us a lot of time storage space for our documents!
PROSI like the Re-mind feature the most, if any reconciliations need to be taken care of on a timely basis it will make sure that I get reminded that this item is still pending for the day. I use Floqast every day and its made a huge difference in my department's productivity.
CONSWe are currently not using the auto rec because my department heads are concerned that items will be missed if using the auto rec feature. Looking into it, it gives you the option to accept the pairs or decline pairs so it would be of great use to us, this is what I like least, the fact that we are not using Floqast to its full potential.

Favorite Month-End Close Tool
FloQast makes it easy to stay on track with our month end close. It is connected to our accounting software and makes reviewing reconciliations seamless. It it also super helpful in making sure we are on track, meeting our deadlines and when needed identify blockers or delays. Overall the interface is very user friendly and it is my favorite month-end collaboration tool ever (have tried two other ones but this is by far the most user friendly one).
CONSOne thing that can definitively improve is Slack integration. Would love to see slack reminders for reconciliations that are due but have not been signed off yet, currently the feature is only available for checklist items.

FloQast is the Best!
Phenomenal! I can't say enough about how amazing the company and people are.
PROSThe closing and SOX integration. Being able to have both applications so integrated is extremely special.
CONSI'd like more ability to link directly between features. For example, I'd like to link checklists to other chcklists, SOX testing to checklists, basically anywhere we have an uploaded document that we want to reattach to another area would be nice to have an ability to cross link instead of reupload documentation.

Best Accounting Software
Floqast is one of the easiest implemented softwares I have ever used.
CONSThere aren't many, but one feature I would like to see is being able to make templates for adding new tasks and reconciliations.

Incredibly helpful!
We've really cleaned up our books, quickened our close, and kept cleaner records now that we have an easy way to roll documents along from month to month. We used to use a shared Excel checklist to keep our organization streamlined during the month-end close process, and now we have this great and handy tool to check off in a much easier way. It used to take our boss an hour or more to get all of our end-balances in a list to start the Reconciliation process, and that's an hour of her time back that she now has due to the roll-forward features of FloQast.
PROSI like the Reconciliation and Checklist functions the best, which is essentially the entire platform, so overall, this system works great and is incredibly helpful for our month-end processes. Their support team is excellent in responding to questions and concerns, and for once, a company actually has a useful "FAQ" section.
CONSNothing, I would seriously recommend this to any accounting team. Maybe the only thing that bugs me is the speediness of the Refresh button, but that's very minor in the grand scheme of things. Plus, they have been very responsive in any suggestions or critiques we have of small feature improvements, and many of them have already been fixed in the few months our team has been using this software.

Great Tool for Optimizing Close Process
FloQast has the best employees, they are the most responsive and helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
PROSIntegrating FloQast was super easy and the team bought in right away. Tracking monthly reconciliations is a high priority so being able to assign individuals and get visibility to completeness is critical.
CONSI can't think of one thing that I dislike about FloQast!

Wonderful customer service! Great product for month end closes!
Gives me a great feel of where we are in the month end closing process without having to go around and bug my team to see where they are at or what they have left to finish. GREAT customer service!! No matter who I contact, they are quick to email back and fix any issue.
CONSGoing back and forth between BOX and FloQast. If we had multiple additional hours to add all of our reconciliations to BOX, it might be helpful for year end close. We tried doing so when we first started using FloQast (when all uploads weren't carried forward month to month), but we haven't done any uploads recently.

Great app-every accountant's dream
I am such a huge fan of FloQast, I can not imagine closing the books without FloQast. It is straight forward and simple to use, even for multi national corporation such as ours. The set up was handled extremely well and FloQast team is bunch of sweethearts, very professional and extremely fast in their responses. Being able to assign reconciliations to individuals and time stamp when they are compelte each month has taken our MEC time from 15 to 9 business days and thanks to FloQast that 9 might become 7 soon. FloQast creates accountability, enables teamwork, has great audit trail and gives one a lot more confidence when reviewing financials, not to mention saves hours and hours that you would otherwise spend re-running reports and tying up teh back up reports to account balances, it is worth every penny and is life changing for a Finance team.

Great tool!
Our company has been using FQ for almost 2 years. Within that time frame, we've had a major company infrastructure change and I was able to work with Lilith to help maintain the smooth transition. She's been with us from implementation, and I'm glad she's provided continued support to this day. I cannot speak for all customers, but the support we received is well above avg. in response and resolution. The FQ team is constantly trying to improve their product and ask for feedback on anything. Features we asked about when we implemented are now a standard feature, which shows they are listening and are actively testing new features to bring to the standard product. Admins require some computer knowledge, mostly for setup, but FQ will help you every step of the way.

CONSWe use Box.com for our storage, and the issue we run into is our admins from implementation deleted folders because they didn't like that folder structure, so they decide to make changes, which FQ makes those folders unique, so when we deleted, it took a function away from us.

Easy and great customer service
The software is very user friendly, everything is in one place and has easy audit trails. The customer service is excellent and there are very quick responses. They also have implemented many of our suggestions.
CONSIt would be nice to have aging for the reconciliations and the ability for customer fields in the checklists.

FloQast is a great tool.

CONSThe cost. A lot of other great features within FloQast, but the price to use everything is high if you are a smaller company.

FQ is essential for our financial close process

Makes Audits a lot easier
FloQast helps me manage the teams progress without annoying or checking in with the team. If any balance changes there is a notification to ensure it is reconciled again.
PROSFloqast helps ensure reconciliations and checklist items are complete on a monthly basis and flags any out of balance errors. This is incredibly helpful when doing an audit as the auditors already have all relevant schedules.
CONSThe daily alerts can be slightly annoying but this is customizable.

Useful for Monitoring the Monthly Close
I've been using this product for about 8 months. I like that I can add my own monthly checklist items so that I never forget to do any deliverables during the close. I also like that I'm alerted via email when my accounts are out of balance; however, I get alerts for all accounts that are out of balance, not just the ones I'm in charge of, which is something I wish did not happen. It's also great that this software saves copies of all your files on their Box site. I've accidentally deleted a file on my company's shared drive that I had spent hours on, and being able to access this deleted file on Floqast's website made my day!
CONSI've had a lot of syncing issues, which can be very frustrating when the software isn't recognizing files or files don't show up.

User friendly, I love it.
FloQast helped us streamline our month end check list and gave us a better structure to eliminate errors and be more efficient.
PROSThe sorting feature is great. I enjoy the ability to be able to see what I have due and whether or not it is complete.
CONSWish I could sort by other people. There are times when I am waiting on others to get a part of their job done before I can begin working on my task so using a filter to search by other individuals would be great.

Probably one of the best products for accountants in years.
It helped us effectively transition from a quarterly close process to a monthly close process. Additionally, it has helped us to organize and streamline our balance sheet reconciliations while eliminating wasteful processes.
PROSI love the hash-tag feature because it provides the user with the flexibility and computational power of Excel with the robustness of a reconciliation data warehouse. Additionally, the checklist feature is a great way to plan out your month and your financial close. We also use FloQast to capture audit evidence surrounding review and approvals. This has been paramount to our success in both internal and external audits.
CONSI wish you could rename folders within the FloQast application; however, I have faith that this feature will be added with time.

The look of the interface is really clean and easy to use. We like using it a lot for our monthly accounting close to keep on top of everything.
