Software meets all my agency needs with quality, ease and price.
Ease of use of all the software. Supplements you can purchase to make parts of GMS even easier. Also, their support service is wonderful. You can ask questions several ways and they always respond quickly and with a solution to question.

GMS is unequaled in cost allocation, personnel reports, grant accounting for varying fiscal periods, and service. We
CONSWe would like to see more HR applications such as advanced personnel records and electronic timesheets, We currently import timesheets into GMS. Works well but one system would be nice.

MIP did not handle indirect costs and other cost allocation well. The reports were not what we wanted and payroll was bulky.

I have used GMS to manage a grant Porte folio and it gives perfect overview of the trip balance report - the BVA - and the creditor balance which can give you vendor l/ employee report and balance. The trial balance is a key element to prepare the IFRS.
PROSThe flat reports for the bank reconciliations- the wizard tools available to make adjustments- the reports like trial balance, BVA and creditor Balance.
CONSGMS was at a point of time very slow and we suspected the volume of transactions could affect the speed of the system

This is a great software for Non-profits and small governments
We use it for both payroll and accounts payable.
PROSThe ease of setting up and using fund accounting. It does a great job of using indirect cost pool. The help desk has long term employees, most over 20 years with GMS.

GMS Operations
Haven't had any trouble processing transactions through this company and their customer service is GREAT!
CONSI wish their website was a bit more user friendly but with a little trial and error, it's manageable to find out the info you need.
