Best in class FP&A tool to automate planning and forecasting.

Overall this is a great solution for growing company with heavy FP&A needs. This tool helps small teams scale quickly.

Best in class FP&A tool with strong ROI. System is easy to deploy and intuitive to learn. Saved a lot of time with forecasting and annual plan.

Cons:

Customer support isn't great if you need a fast answer. Otherwise, they do have learning materials and videos that are helpful.

One of the things i like about it is how the software is build and setup. The background display and colors. Flexibility: Planful offers a wide range of customizable templates and models that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your business.

Cons:

Atimes it Freeze and face problems with the updating time. if the app is close and have to reuse it mostly have to start fresh from start

A very useful tool

Getting started with Planful was really easy for me. I began with the official online guides and webinars that Planful offers — their onboarding program is well-organized and easy to follow. Then I joined the user community, where I found lots of practical tips and real-life examples from other companies. The key for me was taking a few days to really understand the basics — like modeling, workflows, and reporting. After that, I started building things myself using real examples from our own marketing campaigns. As the head of finance at a marketing company, I used to do most of our budgeting, reporting, and forecasting manually — which was really time-consuming. Since switching to Planful, the way we work has completely changed.

What I liked most about Planful is how much you get for the price — definitely great value for money. The customer support team was always quick to help whenever I had questions, especially during setup. And the data management tools made it super easy to keep everything organized and up to date, which saved me a ton of time.

Planful has made a huge difference for our finance team

Switching to Planful has been a game-changer for our finance team. The biggest win for us is how it's streamlined our entire budgeting process. The collaborative features are fantastic—we can all work on the same plan at the same time without any confusion. The reporting is also really powerful, allowing us to generate custom reports on the fly.

The fact that Planful excels at streamlining the budgeting process and improving collaboration across teams. Then, the ability to integrate with other systems and create detailed, custom reports is also a top feature.

Cons:

My only minor criticism is that the initial setup was a little complex, and it took a while to get everything configured exactly how we needed it. But once we got through that, it's been a very smooth and effective tool. Overall, I highly recommend it.

I originally got into Host for budgeting and it has been great for that, but I have found it great for many other things. I also love the way it can grow with me. With Planful I have improved my marketing objectives in a more professional way, giving better campaigns and with smarter strategies that help to manage better. Its attractive pricing and feature rich functionality and great support make it a solid offering to prospective users.

Cons:

I have nothing to write that’s bad about planful. A data pull is not immediate and can cause some frustration if data is not pulled 100% accurately the first time. The interface is pretty dated. I also mainly use chrome as my browser and there seems to be a lag time when scrolling in a template which is a bit of a pain.

My experience with Planful

A very pleasant experience for a plethora of functions. I mainly used Planful for planning and budgeting. However, it’s well rounded system, with many uses.

It was very accessible, so I could use it often. The easy-to-see interface allowed me to do my work quickly. It increased the efficiency of my work.

Cons:

There were a lot of things that had to be entered manually at first. There is a limit to making the report perfect. I think it needs to be supplemented a little bit more when it comes to input.
