Pros/Cons
Pros
- They even have an estimate you can do before you file that will tell you about what your looking at which was awesome.
- It's functionality and availability was particularly helpful. I was impressed by customer support.
- What did you like most about this software is that it is very userfriendly and an easy tool for those familiar with turbotax.
Cons
- ProSeries Professional seems to be having more problems than they have had in the past. Trying to get through to their tech support is terrible.
- The forms and letters feature is horrible. If it doesn't come out right, forget about trying to fix it.
- I am always a little intimidated with the use of new software.
Pros
- The customer support and ease of use has been fantastic. I have had to call Vertex for support, for recommendations on doing things and for knowledge on the product.
- Vertex Cloud has a very easy to use and comprehensive user interface, a robust product mapping capability, and the ability to user test within the interface.
- The customer service people are also exceptionally friendly and the Exchange provides a great opportunity to network with them and fellow colleagues.
Cons
- Single point of failure. If any part of the connection to Vertex is down the ERP system is unable to complete jobs.
- Does not work well with Firefox which is a browser our organization uses often, will often get glitchy or stop working entirely.
- The approach used seems inefficient. Error logging levels re address cleansing failures are cryptic at best.
