- 3 stars: 103 reviews (8%)
- 2 stars: 38 reviews (3%)
- 1 star: 87 reviews (7%)

### Most mentioned pros

- The invoicing, contact management, and sales tracking capabilities are all housed in a single roof without the need to pay three different tools and this is something that I really liked after it was all set up and operational.
- The platform provides a comprehensive and centralized solution for managing different business operations, such as CRM, sales, inventory, accounting, HR, and project management, in one system
- Odoo has solved our diverse business needs including supply chain management, social media management and all procurement related processes.

### Most mentioned cons

- We contracted with Odoo to develop a custom ERP solution for our small business over a year ago, and the project remains unfinished to this day.
- There was no willingness to accommodate a reasonable request, and the communication quickly became focused on legal obligations instead of finding a customer-friendly solution.
- Dishonesty, lack of professionalism, false promises on deadlines, refused to give a hard target date on software development.

Overall it was mid. I wanted to like it. I wanted to use it. I was and still am unsure the best way to operate whether setting it up on our own servers or running it on other servers from people running it as a third party service.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The product itself is amazing. It can do just about anything. There are plenty of features across all business elements to run your entire business off Odoo.

#### Cons

Very very clunky and requires a fair bit of manipulation to set it up how you want. You will need a true programmer to fix things to talk how you want them to talk. You will need a programmer to set it up to best run whatever field you are in. Most others are fairly easy to frame as you want with some basic tech knowledge. Odoo needs more.

#### Reasons for choosing Odoo

We didn't. We tried it as an option but elected not to migrate.

#### Reasons for switching to Odoo

Wanted to try other options. We did switch back to Zoho

### Odoo provides a flexible and customizable ERP platform for scaling business workflows

- Overall rating: 4/5
- Reviewer: Estrella A.
- Verified reviewer: Yes
- Industry: Computer Software
- Company size: 51-200 employees
- Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years
- Reviewed: August 2026
- Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you.

For over a year, Odoo gave us strong value for money and solid sales management. Its open-source flexibility simplified contact management and invoicing, despite slow customer support.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Modular architecture makes extending sales management and transaction management effortless. Contact management connects well, invoicing triggers cleanly, and value for money is strong.

#### Cons

Upgrading custom modules between major versions has a steep learning curve. Ease of use drops in complex accounting, customer support is slow, and invoicing rules take time to configure.

### Easy to use for HR basics, but needs better consolidated reporting

- Overall rating: 4/5

- Verified reviewer: Yes
- Industry: Banking

- Product usage: Used weekly for less than 2 years
- Reviewed: August 2026

It's worked well for the day-to-day HR basics — tracking leave and handling payslips — and the interface makes it easy to get around. The friction is really around reporting and consolidation rather than the core features themselves.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

The interface is clean and easy to use. We've mainly used Odoo as a leave tracker and for managing payslips, and it's been simple enough for both HR and employees to pick up without much training

#### Cons

The main pain point has been getting a consolidated view of things — there's no easy way to download all payslips together in one go, or to pull a quick summary of leave balances across the team. You end up doing it one by one, which adds up.

We switched from multiple systems to Odoo and consolidated everything. It works well for our needs. Setup was initially complicated but once it was running things improved. Not perfect but worth the investment if you're patient with the learning phase.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The dashboard is clean and easy to navigate. API integration with shipping carriers was seamless. Reporting features are good enough for day-to-day operations. Inventory tracking is solid.

#### Cons

I would say Learning curve is steep for non-technical users. Mobile app is basic. System slows down with large datasets which i have noticed might not be applicable for everyone.

Complete elimination of information silos. All teams work on the same interface, guaranteeing perfect consistency of operational data and optimizing overall business management.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Odoo's core strength lies in its fully integrated "Swiss Army knife" approach. Being able to start with a single module and activate others as the business grows is a true luxury. Information flows are automated to the extreme: a customer order instantly triggers an inventory update and prepares the corresponding invoice without any duplicate data entry.

#### Cons

Major version updates regularly bring frustrating technical bugs to customized modules. Furthermore, subscription costs accelerate quickly as you stack applications and users.

#### Ratings breakdown

What I liked most about Odoo is its all-in-one business management approach. It integrates CRM, sales, accounting, inventory, HR, and project management into a single platform, which reduces the need for multiple software tools.

It has stopped the rest of the team from having to utilize hundreds of spreadsheets that I hate. The bank feed allows me to know what is going to happen by the end of the month instead of being caught off guard. I can access this system with my cell phone while sitting at the dentist office waiting. As we continue to expand into various countries and subsequently multiple currency accounts, odoo can manage them all. Since we transitioned away from quickbooks, the audit trail is much cleaner and the auditors can simply go through their process.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The reports give you current, live numbers, IF (AND WHEN) you ever get around to putting in the actual data. We were forced to hire someone to repair the api, however once done it will transfer transactions from another platform which is acceptable. The csv imports for 1099s and customer additions are faster than I thought they would be.

#### Cons

When viewing things at the top level, I dislike seeing where an invoice belongs to within an entity since you cannot tell while running a report. Also, the tools used for creating your own custom reports are completely frustrating.

Don't waste your time with Odoo... most people who recommend it are being paid a referral fee... the support is extremely slow and almost non-existent in my experience and the services are slow and difficult to learn... I have wasted hundreds on dollars on Odoo and hope you don't make the same mistake.

#### Cons

The software is difficult to work out and use, documentation is poor... it is expensive once you start adding things on and support is terrible.

We’ve been using Odoo for several years in both internal operations and client projects. Its open-source flexibility allowed us to develop industry-specific modules and connectors like WooCommerce to Odoo integration, which we offer via our Prefortune app store. Overall, Odoo gives us the control and scalability we need for small to mid-size businesses looking to automate and grow.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Odoo offers an all-in-one solution that scales beautifully with business needs. The modular approach makes it easy to implement what you need, from CRM and inventory to accounting and eCommerce. We especially benefited from the flexibility Odoo gives developers—using it, we’ve even built our own apps like the WooCommerce Connector available on the Prefortune store, which integrates perfectly for real-time sync.

#### Cons

The initial setup can be overwhelming for new users, especially when dealing with customizations or third-party integrations. Documentation has improved, but more examples and real-life implementation cases would be helpful.

#### Ratings breakdown

Horrible arrogance!! After signing up for a trial, received a phone call from Account Rep to check up on me. As soon as I started giving him negative feedback on my initial experience (documentation was COMPLETELY out of date - Support had to send me a totally different workflow to get basic task of connecting bank accounts set up) and the fact that I was concerned what else might be out of date...he flippantly said that their docs are often outdated and that's just how it is....then HUNG UP on me mid-sentence (if line disconnected, I'd assume he'd call me back - but never did).
