OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND PRODUCT OPTIONS!

Upon partnering with PayIt in 2017, our online payment transaction volume has increased by over 5,400%! The website, as well as the APP, are very user friendly with various payment options. PayIt will handle any payment issues directly with the taxpayer, which saves us time and improves productivity. The online payment activity has decreased the number of mail in payments which require manual processing, which has saved us additional overtime costs. The taxpayers love the convenience of knowing their payment was received and posted, without having to worry about being lost in the mail. The staff are phenomenal to work with, allowing us to expand our services to our taxpayers while collaborating on future projects.

Pros

The STAFF! They are the driving force behind the success of PayIt. The payment options, PayIt has collaborated with us frequently to integrate - and implement - new products/services. The level of customer service - not only as our vendor - but to our taxpayers is professional, reliable and prompt. They converse directly with our taxpayer regarding a payment or to assist with making a payment and always with a follow up to ensure satisfaction. PayIt staff ensures that any issue or hurdle we may encounter is handled promptly. You can always reach one of their team members and they are very quick to respond to emails.

Cons

Some taxpayers are not computer "savvy", although they will make a payment online. PayIt offers outstanding service to our taxpayers directly. PayIt has an 800 number for PayIt Support that allows the taxpayer to leave a detailed message on what support they need. They also have a dedicated email address to reach support team. **The support team has proven to be very prompt on responding to both emails and voicemails and oftentimes call the taxpayer if that is their preference. We've received some feedback that a few taxpayers wish there was a dedicated phone line where they can talk to someone instead of leave a message.

Reasons for switching to PayIt

Needed to streamline the online payment options to be more user friendly and offer wider variety in ability to pay more than one parcel and/or tax year within one transaction.

Collect more with PayIt

Our overall experience with PayIt has been fantastic. The team at PayIt is super responsive and friendly. They have an excellent Client Service team, their Marketing Team helps us create content to promote our solution, and they are great communicators. We are able to work with them to develop, change, or customize all of our solutions and it has a great experience so far. We look forward to continuing to work with them.

Pros

PayIt allows our office to continually evolve and grow the services we offer. We didn't just purchase and out of the box program that only offers a single solution. We can work directly with the team at PayIt to make sure that we are providing the best possible user experience for our residents. The platform has a fresh feel to it and is very intuitive to use; no matter the users skill level they can make a payment without issue and that is big for us. On the back end, it is also very easy for us to work with PayIt to make customizations and changes as we go.

Cons

This is a hard question to answer because I can't really come up with something I don't like about PayIt. If we are having user issues or we see something we don't like, they fix it right away.

Reasons for choosing PayIt

Commerce Bank presented a payment software to us but while it was comprehensive it was not as customizable or as visually pleasing as PayIt. We were looking for a product that would be easy to use and not overwhelm our users with extra graphics or information that wasn't needed.

Reasons for switching to PayIt

Official Payments did not offer many of the options PayIt did like a cart feature, digital wallet, account, online receipts, etc. We also felt that their communication and customer service skills were lacking. It was difficult for us to make any changes to our site and each change took a long time to accomplish. PayIt offered a more comprehensive solution and as I mentioned they have stellar communication and customer service.

Innovation in the Government Sector is Possible!

They have an amazing team that listens to feedback, is responsive, and always ensures you feel empowered to serve your constituents/taxpayers.

Pros

We loved the clean, simple design and how much easier it is for our customers to be billed and pay online. From an internal perspective, it provided the ability to send bills via email and an app, saving money on printing and postage, and increased cash flows.

Cons

Nothing, it’s a really great software. From a set up perspective, I think as end users (and not technical people) we can oversimplify or underestimate how much work an IT type project will be. It’ll be work to set up your site but the PayIt team will be there every step of the way and when it’s finished, you won’t regret your decision.

Reasons for choosing PayIt

We put the work out to bid through a Request for Proposal process and considered proposals from other vendors but PayIt was awarded the contract. What they offer is just the right blend of out-of-the-box and customized software, and is truly so easy for a customer to use.

Reasons for switching to PayIt

Our previous site was antiquated and outdated. It wasn’t mobile adaptable and didn’t offer any billing functionality.

Cabarrus County North Carolina myCabCo powered by payit

The payit team partnered with us to implement, deploy and now support myCabCo. myCabco is a new digital platform that allows constituents to securely transact with Cabarrus County anytime, anywhere, and on their preferred device. After seeing a demo in October of 2019, we vetted payit and signed a contract in February of 2020 with a project kickoff February 26th right before the pandemic lockdown. We continued the project with weekly remote project meetings and successfully launched myCabCo on July 31 2020 with the mailing of new tax bills.

Early Adopter/Long Time User

Pros

It is hard to point out one thing; however, the user experience is the one that sticks out. It is easier for both external and internal users.

Cons

One area that I dislike is the dashboard and reporting tools. It is a priority for PayIt to work on this and resources have been committed to doing so.

Reasons for choosing PayIt

It was the shared vision of what the user experience should be and how could we take a leap forward. We were able to migrate our four largest payment channels to the PayIt solution in just over four months. PayIt really did the heavy lifting and helped make it easier for us.

Reasons for switching to PayIt

The City of Grand Rapids shifted their focus to being a "digital first" organization. With that vision, we looked at ways to improve. This was that opportunity as well as redesigning our City website.

PayIt has been a game changer

The biggest win with PayIt is they provide a way for our customers/tax payers to make their property tax payments through a mobile app or web browser. And it's a smooth, easy experience. This provides an enormous benefit to an ever increasing percentage of our customer base.

Pros

The products are extremely easy for our customers to use. PayIt provides plenty of marketing and customer support as well. The website and mobile app are fantastic and reliable products. The POS offering is still being enhanced but provides us with the ability to accept in-person credit card payments. Integration has been as smooth as you could imagine.

Cons

Honestly, nothing negative to report. Probably the area that could be improved would be analytics around the payment transactions and customer base, but they are making strides towards those efforts now.

Great partner and more than payment processing company

we signed on in 2016 and at that point Payit was just starting out to go after large clients. Over last 5 years we have had great working relationship with their team and the management. We came a long way since our first app deployment and won numerous awards along the way. I'm extremely happy with our partnership.

Pros

What I like most about their software is that you can attach various different accounts (water and refuse, property tax, real-estate, parking tickets, etc) and add your payment options and once bill is published system will notify you and you can pay in few clicks. Very user friendly.. apple-esque simplified UI design.

Cons

Product is continuously improved and worked on so to be honest I don't have a list of dislikes...
