Changing software is always a scary and major undertaking, but it was rather easy and went without a hitch. From not knowing what to expect, or how the product would perform until you really use it, we found that it met or exceeded any and all expectations that we had. Also, the detail provided in reports, as well as the numerous search options, are extremely helpful in being able to customize reports to get the information you really want/need. The ability to close and reopen periods, even crossing over fiscal years, does not require a lot of time and tedious labor. The initial setup was painless working with a knowledgeable/helpful consultant and ongoing support has been responsive and a pleasure to work with. Cons: It seems that indirect rates, for billing purposes, need to be changed by each project/code which is a bit time consuming. Reasons for choosing PROCAS Accounting Seemed to provide what we needed at a very reasonable price. Reasons for switching to PROCAS Accounting Deltek GCS Premier was no longer going to be updated and supported. Deltek was having their customers migrate to Costpoint, a higher end system, which was an expensive undertaking in terms of setup and ongoing maintenance/support. It had all of the same bells and whistles but were much easier to understand and use. I also liked the customer service. When I called with a problem I received the best service around.
