I have worked with OneSite for years and it is easily functional.
I would like to see if there were other ways of searching for someone by using other "descriptions". At this time, there is by name, plate #, social #, and phone #. I would also like there to be a feature that you could add in a gate card number or a key faub number.
PROSReports are easily accessible. OneSite is very user friendly for Tax Credit and Market mix communities. The features for residents is just enough and easy to use. I love the main page and how you can customize it to what exactly you need to see.
CONSThe only con I would have is the limitations that the On-Site staff has when creating levels. This may be a function that corporate only has access to but since letters are mainly generated by the leasing office, I wish there were more options.

Love the software, customer service and solution solving made us change
Use Rent Roll when it was DOS based, fought my company for 10 years! to get the software, due to continued issues had to change to new software after 5 years and take the entire company through new software set up and training!
PROSEasy to use/easy to learn and good software. Long term Rent Roll DOS based user, did not want any other software and fought hard to convince my company and property owners Onesite was the way to go.....
CONSMany many issues, hidden add on costs not explained thoroughly at time of purchase, new sales reps, new reps for each module at a minimum every quarter. Issues resolved with prior reps not communicated and had to start over. on one item resolved a minimum of 10 times ALL with new reps.

The only thing they are good at is Selling you...
I feel like I hitched my wagon to a 2 legged-mule. The sales team has no ethics. We were flat lied to. We were told training was FREE only to find out we had to pay $150 an hour for training that turned out to be factually incorrect (thus, all the corrections we had to make, as mentioned above). For a software package that has an accounting function built in, it is in no way intuitive as to how to pull data (i.e. Balance Sheet and Income Statement). Customer service is like leaving a baby in the woods. I will say they do get back to you, but with very little helpful advice on how to fix things. These people care about one thing, and it sure as hell isn't having a satisfied customer. They represent everything that is wrong in business, that lack ethics, they lack character, and they should be absolutely ashamed of what they do and how they do it.
PROSHonestly, I am so tainted by all the negatives, it's really difficult to try to come up with something positive. With a gun to my head, I'd have to say I'm nearly always able to log in (sometimes that's not the case though)
CONSThe rollout was absolutely pathetic. They migrated all of our accounting data over in the middle of the month, which created a cascade of accounting errors which had to be fixed manually. The rollout team was pleasant, but inadequately trained. They gave us advice which was 100% backwards, which we then had to undo, then redo the correct way. The reports are a joke. The search function is a joke. The training is about useless. "Oh, you have a question? Cool, well did you watch this 27 minute 'training' video which talks about 313 useless things before it gets to the topic you needed?"

PROSFunctionality of Dashboard is good once it's property set up.

Good Product for Property Functions
Easy to see and use to look up resident information and accounts. Onesite software has an easy functionality to look up account information when residents or prospects may call inquiring about various parts of information needed for their lease. There is a function to upload documents to each account to minimize the amount of paper used on-site.
CONSNo html capability when sending e-mails out. When sending out e-mails, residents/prospects, are more prone to open e-mail's that are formatted in html instead of text function.

Love Onesite!
If you are looking for a great software for conventional or affordable, Onesite is the way to go! Highly recommend this software. I have used it for almost 10 years and couldn't be happier
PROSPros for Onesite are ease of use, ease of correction if an error is made on certifications, ledger and resident information. It is very user friendly for someone who does not have computer experience.
CONSIf you do not set it up correctly, then there are tweaks that have to be made and their customer support will help resolve those issues.

Intuitive, user friendly & an all in one system for just about all of your PM needs.
Best PM software I have used in my 10+ years in this industry.
PROSUser friendly, intuitive, easy to navigate. All in one system for lead management, payment processing, lease generation, letter and notice generation, customizable to your needs.
CONSTends to be a bit slow at times, This may not be a system issue and rather a server issue. would be great if the labels could be customized to each individual PMC's needs. Eg. The resident tab could be changed to Neighbor tab to fit our company lingo.

Onesite Review
The Onesite tutorials made it easy to find answers to overlooked issues. The ease of software made it simple for training new employees adapting to a new system.
CONSInitially, there were triggers that would slow down the process for move-ins/move-outs. Accounting department had to wait for Leasing to close moved out files. This was a perfect storm at the beginning of the month, with all sorts of new move-ins for the Leasing staff to balance.

New OneSite User
Overall I am very happy with my OneSite experience. It was very easy to learn and navigate.
PROSAfter using Yardi for more than a decade, I was nervous to learn a new program. OneSite has been a breeze! My absolute favorite feature is the ability to customize my 'Today' page. As my role in the company has changed, so has my need for at-a-glance information.
CONSRent posting is a little slower than with other software I've used. I get slowed down having to enter each apartment number. Having all current residents pull up numerically, by apartment number, is easier to enter everything quickly.

Should be more user friendly
I was not impressed with this software. It seemed to be less functional and more time consuming than the others I’ve used.
PROSThe reminders were nice. It helps that you are given the names of prospects for follow up. Maintenance orders were easy to put in.
CONSIncredibly outdated and lacking ease of access features. Also not fond of the inability to go back if end of month was accidentally finalized. Leaving the company in a bind for several weeks while support assisted with this problem.

Your clients HATE companies that use this for
Absolutely nothing. It is close to impossible to get good assistance. Newsflash, if you bought into this software to make your life easier, you are in turn causing your clients such a hassle and many hours of wasted time.
CONSIt is constantly a battle to get good help. I upload insurance documentation and the person on the other end can never follow it since they are not educated properly how to read insurance documents. If items do not match up word for word they are unable to see that it is still valid. They have a checklist and if it does not meet the checklist they say it is wrong. That is wrong, it is just different verbiage based on an insurance contract that will not always match up with what they have on their end, but getting anyone to understand this takes multiple phone calls and emails. I end up wasting the equivalent of 8 hours for something that should take no more than 30 minutes.

Great accounting software for small to medium sized businesses.
OneSite is super easy to navigate and works seamlessly with RealPage. Doing bank recs are simple, paying vendors via ACH works well, and setting up users with different access rights works like a charm.
CONSTheir report builder can be easy to use, but you can't do any complex report writing. I'm not sure if they have an add-on for more complex report writers, but something to keep in mind if your company expects complex reports.

Onesite was an overall good operating system, but wasn't always the most user friendly service.
Overall I enjoyed using Onesite. While it would not be my first recommendation, I still felt it was organized well to gather needed data for weekly reporting.
PROS-Everything you need for reporting financials, tracking leasing statistics & other operations was in one place. -Easy lead follow up system -Delinquency Management was easy to navigate -I liked that you could switch between multiple properties
CONS-System would go down often -System was hard to navigate -After using other leasing operating systems, I became aware that it could have been more user-friendly.

switched to Entrata after learning what was missing
overall it was not a good experience and the reason we no longer use them is that some issues we were having almost cost us a multi-million dollar deal. When we used it, I didn't realize everything we were missing until we switched to another product
PROSfairly intuitive software even with limited capabilities. Reports were generally accurate and clea and easy to generate. Resident management and ledgers were easy to follow and train.
CONSI used it a few years ago and after switching to a newer software my eyes were opened to the flaws with Realpage. Functionality was extremely limited and the system worked best on only internet explorer. You couldn't use multiple tabs which made some projects very difficult and time-consuming. The interface looked dated and if you ever had any issues, customer support was almost non-existent and you were left to fend for yourself. Overall the system is just 5-10 years behind other competitors.

Decent program but difficult to use
I used OneSite for 2 years and found myself having a lot of issues with it. This could have been due to older computers but it would constantly freeze while I'd be in the middle of working. I use Entrata at my current job and find it to serve all (if not more functions) while being more user friendly.
PROS-compatible with a wide range of other software -serves its basic purpose -customer support -quality FAQ and forum online for questions on functionality
CONS-difficult to navigate -Can only fully be used on Internet Explorer -freezes easily -antiquated interface

Good, Budget Conscious Product
The product is great, easy to roll out to new users and well worth the costs associated. I found it to be budget friendly as well, which is always a plus!
PROSProduct is easy to use and very user-friendly. I enjoy working with real-time features, and the reporting functionality is easy to utilize.
CONSConnectivity issues related to server connection problems, lack of ability to reach knowledgeable customer service techs was frustrating at times, however, ultimately the issues were resolved in a timely manner.

User friendly
OneSite is user friendly. It is easy to operate and hard to "mess up". I enjoy it's functionality. The accouting system is superior to other products I have used.
CONSI have not experienced excellent customer service. The response time when I do have an issue is unreasonable.

Good residential software
The system is very simple to use. The system provides all the reports needed for productivity in a residential property and helping manage all units.
CONSCustomer service sometimes is a bit slower to help you or return calls for service tickets submitted.

I have used Onesite since 2011 and I like best over all other programs I have used. My overall experience has been great!
I liked that the product is user friendly, it has online training and how you can email all residents from crossfire.
CONSdoes have some issues with it taking a long time to load at times customer service help sometimes do not speak the best English.

A full suite of integrated products are offered by RealPage. Ease of use. User friendly. User mistakes easily corrected.
CONSCustom reporting. Most outside integrations are complicated or non-existent. Others are very costly.

Best software for Multifamily
I love onesite and will forever us it if I am able to.
PROSThe pros of Onesite are functionality and ease of use. I have been using onesite for 7 years. The integration for everything is perfect. I am a super user on onesite and have loved learning the ins and outs
CONSThe frequent updates I know are needed but sometimes it slows the system down. I wish when you denied an applicant it denied it all the way in the system instead of having to deny the screening then deny the application. It would be nice to make the decision and then have it close the account out automatically but we still would need to process the FAS.

Not a Great Value for Customer Facing Front End Users
Supposedly this is supposed to keep our rental rates in balance with market demands. But there is really no need for me to access the data here in order to help my customers. This should be a product not needing to be utilized by front end users.
PROSBeing able to view competitor's rents is probably the only reliable thing in this software. I know this could be an error on integration and owners part, but the information everywhere else in the system for those of us who are supposed to use it daily is really lacking in credibility, reliability and ease of use.
CONSHow often overall feel of the product changes, how many clicks it takes to access key features, no real training provided on product from administrators or account managers, and the lack of reliability of data being provided in consideration of what I need to help my customers best.

Great software overall!
PROSOnesite is extremely easy to navigate. I would recommend this software to any management company that wants software that is easy to train new hires on.
CONSYou have to manually forward the date on a daily basis. The interval between switching dates can take a while.
