Accurate and reliable

It was a great app or system since I use it for Billing of invoice, sending statement of accounts to our clients, receiving payments and reports. It is very useful for those with small businesses. All the tasks for accounting is in Reckon One.

Pros:

Reckon One is the system I use wayback when I was in New Zealand, it is my first time using the system and I can say that I can easily cope up with the functionality.

Cons:

I am not sure If I am the only one experience the glitch of the system if you click too fast, but I believe they already update the system so hopefully no more glitch.

Doing Business with Strong Foundations!

Extremely quick and efficient, no need for long downloads and wasting time I do not have, its simply the most cost effective and time efficient program.

They did try

I really wanted Reckon one to shake up the market but all they did was shake up the user. I have been really disappointed with the performance (or lack of) with Reckon One. Their servers were slow making it painfully slow to try to use this software. I couldn't find repeating invoicing, or several other basics. They were full of hope and promises but just failed to deliver.

It did look cheap until you add up the cost of each module, then you realise, it's not cheap at all.

Cons:

It's very late to market and decades behind the competition. It takes a lot of time and money to compete with the big boys and sadly this isn't something thatReckon One has. It has very little basic functionality and sadly, very little prospect of developing even the basics, any time soon. It's not nice to use, it's clunky and awkward and just frustrates me.

Good software for point-of-sale businesses; less use for consulting

I liked Reckon One and would have stayed with it if I could have had a few more features relevant for consulting type businesses.

Pros:

Easy to get the hang of even for someone with zero accounting background, like myself. Decent simple, intuitive features (mostly). Great dashboard.

Cons:

The feature set is aimed at point-of-sale and online retail type businesses. As a consultant with a micro-business, my accounting needs are not great, but they are more complex than Reckon One could handle. I was going to need to purchase one of the top tier versions of Reckon just to do the few simple extras that I required.

Reckon / QB

I have been with Reckon/ originally Quick Books for almost 30 years! In New Zealand It has been reliable and cost competitive when comparing other options. It offers good back up service. I would recommend Reckon.

Pros:

It is a robust and complete accounting business program, offering more than most businesses need all in one package. My Accountant, Bookkeepers like the detail available too.

Cons:

The working screen can often feel too small - there is a lot of wasted space on the lay out that could be designed more practically.

Remote in always

Great once someone could remotely log in to my computer and do this for me. This should be an option to do it straight away

It was very useful that someone can remote control in and do the download for me as I am not that way inclined.

Cons:

When I received your email giving me the link to download it did not show which one to download so I had to ring and your email was wrong as my one was not there.

Simplicity once I new what I was doing, it really helps when you can speak to someone unlike the early days of Reckon, thanks a bunch

Cons:

Confusing understanding how it all worked, not having a pop up to tell you what to do when can't move forward, pop ups would help, but then it might just be me.

Cons:

The selection menu for voice calls and automated answering is fine but if you make the wrong selection, you must issue your ID or undergo and ID check with every department.
