The software is quite difficult to use, training online is confusing, and a newbie would struggle in places.

The ability to use Sage for small business as far as daily accounting, accounts payable and receivable is vey good. It offers a lot of other useful applications if you wish to grow.

The  ease in use of the program is a major factor for small business people who are not financially savvy. They can use  the program without a huge learning curve.

Customer service is outstanding. This product does everything we need to run our business from payroll to inventory.

Horrible customer service. To support that statement: I've been on hold for 1 hour 43 minutes and I'm still on hold.

In general it is good and easy software. For a private limited company it is best accounting software to keep business record.

I am saddened that I have to move away from Sage 50 because it does not integrate with Service Titan, Field Edge or any other cutting edge dispatch programs in my industry.

I tried the chat option (worthless, they couldn't help). Tried the call back option (missed the call because it was 2 hours 20 minutes after I called and, uh, I was in another meeting).

We are also constrained by the # of fields within the payroll module--as far as the category in which the employee worked. We also lament the lack of integration with our bank, microsoft programs etc.

This software is great for small businesses like ours who have a huge inventory list (8,000 plus items), and customer support gives quality service.

I like being able to modify reports at ease. Would highly recommend this product.

Tax code formulas, if something is missing I have no idea how to correct it.

Their Customer service is terrible purchasing any monthly service through them is risky , make sure you keep all bills , emails and transcripts of phone calls.

A functional software for small uncomplicated businesses. Integration with core Microsoft applications like Excel makes a good product for analytics export into a spreadsheet.

Most functions are easily located and you can choose a number of them from one screen. The software has very good reports which is an important factor to management.

Even though I have the backups I phoned sage to see how I could get the software back to open my backups and they told me I have to pay the fee to upgrade.

It is software that has been with me daily for several years, I'm already in tune with the program, the experience is fantastic.

As it’s a leading accounting software clearly it does the job and has everything you need. The range of functions is vast.

The subscription model they have gone to is criminal. They literally disabled functionality in the software I paid for years ago and require a subscription if you want to use it.

The worst part is the backup process. It easily gets corrupted.

Another negative aspect is the cost as compared to its biggest competitor.

Customer, Supplier, Nominal and Bank ledger are in a convenient layout for you to drill down into. Reports are good, and surprisingly intuitive for their age.

It is very easy to use and so happy that we don't have to hand write the expense report on the paper anymore.

I like the app based solution as it allows me to input receipts and information quickly. I also like the mileage map function for multi trips.

I recommend it so far, it was easy moving from the previous system to this one and it's definitely worth it.

The software is fairly user-friendly, with some flexibility in how you set up your budget. Uploading receipts is quite easy on a laptop.
