All information is available in a single dashboard, which allows users to stay up to date on their cash flow and pending payments.

Sage One also features tax management, which calculates applicable taxes using the transaction data. The product also offers cash flow forecasting, which allows users to estimate the cash requirements in the future based on historical transactions.

The product also includes payment services, which allows users to make payments directly using Sage accounts. Users can also make payments using their Paypal accounts.

Sage, The Epitom of Accounting

Tracking my expenses was hectic. However, now with Sage Business Cloud Accounting, I am able to track and even cut down on expenses.

Pros

I love it's ability to automate the functions like reconcilliations.

Cons

The fact that it is effective only when linked to the internet was a bit of a downer.

Maybe allow a link through for document storage to keep down the user space needed.
For instance if I upload my slips and document to Sage I’d quickly use up my allocated space, if it could link through to my dropbox where I get far more space

Sage is NOT User Friendly

I would not recommend Sage 50 to anyone.

Pros

They have made attempts to improve Sage's programs by offering Sage Cloud & Paya. If you can figure out how to use this program, you may find some of its features helpful.

Cons

This product is not easy to install or operate. I spent countless hours waiting for a representative to help me install, update, or troubleshoot issues we've had. It is hard to find data and is very behind the times.

Pros

I used Sage package for 20+ years in previous roles and found them hard to deal with in the past but for I do not know how they expect to deal with small businesses. It was better you had a dealer in between.

This cloud based accounting package is great to work with. It is simple to use and easy to learn. The standard accounting reports that a growing business are all available. Besides, this I am able to work on the system from home and don't need to move around with a laptop that has the software loaded as it is all in the cloud.

Cons

It would seem that sometimes the automatic invoice sending to clients doesn't work properly and some invoices have to be sent manually. This may however be a problem due to our system. Besides this, we are happy with everything else.

Take that, Quick Books!

Learned it quickly, learn it more all the time, never been intimidated, never had it crash, it's really been a breeze.

Pros

Sage is great. It does what I need it to do, doesn't take a class to understand it. It is so user friendly. I think it is some of the most straight forward yet in depth software on the market. You can be computer illiterate and understand Sage in a week and yet it isn't like a dumbed down program. It is universal and I like that.

Cons

I have only one complaint about Sage. Some of the copy and paste functions cannot be used for some reason. It isn't just in one area, it is random. If that is the only bad thing I have to say.....that's better than most.

Shocking support and behaviour from their new online shop division

We had been one of their first online store users when SAGE started with their online store offer. Then the support and customer service was outstanding. Sadly they outsourced their online shop to another company and we needed to move our existing online shop to a new platform. One would think that "SAGE" would facilitate this move for free, as the old platform was discontinued. Well that was not so, we ended up paying a large sum of money for the move. The service level of the new "SAGE" company was horrific, the treatment we received was shocking, everything took weeks and months to finalise. We ended up doing most of the work ourselves and then received a bill for their general set up package and for re-directing the pages to the new site. Unbelievable and shocking! We are also using their accounting software that we like, if we find another way of integrating the accounting part easily with another online shop provider, we will move. They do not deserve our business as they clearly don't appreciate loyal and long standing customers.

Pros

The online store platform integrates easily with sage cloud accounting. Nevertheless, the customer service is shocking, shocking, shocking!

Cons

It has Accounting features. It fuctions, but unfortunately the company has terrible customer service and will steal your money.

Cons

This company charged the personal credit card of a small not for profit company that had declared bankruptcy months before, because they had it on file from the previous year. Months after insolvency was declared and the employee had been laid off, she found the charge on her card. Despite many phone calls explainibg the mistake that had been made nothing has been done. Terrible company that would put a laid off, soon to be mother in this position. Shame on them.

I have been using Peachtree Complete Accounting for over 16 years.

Easy now to manipulate. I only wish I could input my bank information into Peachtree but it will not except it.

I have been using Peachtree Complete Accounting for over 16 years. It has taken many years to learn because I was never trained on the software.

Cons

My only issue with Peachtree Complete Accounting with Sage is the customer support. You have to wait hours to speak with someone if there is an issue especially if you call you have to just leave your name and number. During tax season it is impossible to reach someone. I once waited over 4-6 hours to get a response.

Very slow system when items is above a 1000. We are on 100meg lines and Sage Accounting is terrible.

It's just a basic accounting software.

Pros

The software is easy to use. But it it can be 10 times better if the right coders and designers is employed. Price, it is not the cheapest in the market but again African companies like their money and labour is expensive in South Africa. The system is slow as said when when you have more than a 1000 entries or stock items. Export function lacks functionality as only basic stuff can be exported. Compared to other software in the world....There is much better software in the market!

Speed, the software is very slow for an online system. It lacks functionality. The price per user is expensive. The software also doesn't have a lot of 3rd party integrations. When it comes to e-commerce it integrates with a few shopping carts but the integration is very basic.
