My overall experience with SAP Business One has been very positive. I’ve used it extensively for inventory control, purchasing, and warehouse operations, where it provides strong data integrity, traceability, and process discipline. I’m comfortable working with item masters, bin-managed warehouses, batch/lot tracking, and integrated purchasing-to-finance workflows. While some advanced reporting and automation require custom queries or add-ons, I’ve found B1 to be a reliable and flexible ERP that supports accurate decision-making and scalable operations

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I like about SAP Business One is how well it balances control and flexibility. It gives strong inventory visibility and auditability while still allowing me to analyze data, build reports, and improve processes without heavy IT dependency. It supports disciplined workflows across purchasing, warehousing, and finance, which is critical for inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

#### Cons

What I like least about SAP Business One is that some processes can feel rigid and overly manual without add-ons, and advanced reporting or automation often requires custom queries or external tools rather than being fully native

Overall my experiance with SAP Business One has been not bad. It’s a reliable system for managing day to day business operations and keeps everything organized in one place. Once you get used to it,works pretty well, but the initial setup and learning curve can be a bit challenging. Its not the most modern looking tool, but it gets the job done.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

It covers a lot of core business functions in one system like accounting, inventory, sales, and purchasing. Its helpful having everything centralized instead of using multiple tools. The reporting is also pretty solid and gives good visibility into business operations. For small to mid-sized companies, it feels like a strong ERP option that can grow with the business

#### Cons

The interface feels a bit outdated and not very user friendly at times. It can take a while to learn, especially if you’re not familiar with ERP systems.Customization and implementation can also be complicated and sometimes requires external consultants. Also, performance can feel a bit slow depending on how it’s set up

We used SAP Business One during our expansion efforts. I think it's a fantastic tool to boost manufacturing operation that aren't quite at the S/4HANA level. It's priced lower to suit small businesses, but it still has all the modules you need to automate tons and tons of processes across your organization. It also performs well and has a lot of customization options. Great solution overall

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Business One supports tons of automated workflow creation options that were very helpful for us across different departments. With these, we were able to make a lot of our inventory check, invoicing, logistics, and auditing processes almost completely automatic. They saved us a lot of working hours and reduced the chances of human error

#### Cons

It's a real challenge for IT teams to implement it properly. It takes months to implement it fully and you still have to do maintenance afterwards. Even though it's easier than some of the other bigger ERP tools, you'd still need a pretty solid IT team to get it running

I've been using SAP BO for about two years and I can say that it's one of the most powerful business management solutions you can have as you expand your operations. We rely on in for inventory, order management, fulfillment, and a lot more. It's very customizable and integrates well with outside tools. All in all, it's definitely driven value for our business.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5

#### Pros

I love how customizable SAP products are. Most of the time, with other tools, you're conformed with the boundaries of the product, whereas with SAP, we've been able to customize everything that comes with it to fit our needs, and even set up the product to work in tandem with processes we have that rely on other tools.

#### Cons

I think the support aspect needs a bit of improvement. We could definitely benefit from having people to help with issues and councel us as to how else we can use the product.

SAP B1 has been able to give a significant boost to operations within the company. Practically going from basic controls to more complete controls, visualizations and traceability of operations is something that is basic that every company should have. But it is key that the company is clear about its internal processes and where it wants to go.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

SAP B1 allows companies to make an evaluation of each of the processes and to improve them in the best way. SAP B1 can become a great ally of the company for the control and management of the processes.

#### Cons

It is important to note that what an ERP software cannot do or does not adapt to the company's model does not mean that it is not good. For this reason, it is important that companies that decide to implement SAP B1 do a prior process analysis to know how the company is doing and compare it against SAP B1 and in this way the best decision can be made about which ERP to implement.

SAP has different modules within the software like material management, sales and Distribution, fixed asset etc which very well integrates with each other and helps to provide in depth solution for all business requirement. 2. SAP has ability to maintain complete audit trail, which helps the business user to fix the accountability of each user. 3. Data analysis is the one of the best feature that ultimately helps the business to take effective decisions. 4. User security, user authorization system is also added advantage which helps in managing authorized access to any system data.

#### Cons

1. SAP is mainly suitable for large enterprises having employees strength more that 300-400, and where all roles and responsibility of the uses is clearly identified. 2. Its implementation cost and maintenance cost is high and sufficient training is also required to be given to all concerned users. 3. it is essential to have separate team who can help the user to solve all the issues related to SAP or some agency needs to be hired for such problems, which ultimately increases the cost of company. 4. Unless the roles and responsibility are not clearly identified there is no much benefit of the so called ERP solution. 5. In nutshell unless the company has good employee size and business then only SAP is suitable.
