### Rating distribution

- 4 stars: 346 reviews (32%)
- 3 stars: 62 reviews (6%)
- 2 stars: 7 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- For instance, when I designed a cooking app, I was able to create an interactive prototype that allowed users to navigate through recipes easily, and I added interactions that made the process more dynamic.
- Adobe XD has helped me design more user-friendly interfaces and create interactive prototypes that effectively communicate my design ideas to clients.
- I initially believed XD was solely UI/UX focused when we first started using it, however; we’ve genuinely utilized it to quickly mock up layouts of signs and makeshift mock walk-throughs for clients.

### Most mentioned cons

- It's also harder than it should be to animate things and to show transitions to demonstrate how something works in a new UI design.
- I dislike that it's not as widely used as some other design tools, so there aren't as many resources or tutorials available.
- I feel like Adobe stopped developing XD after they acquired Figma.

Adobe XD helps to save time on work and enables me to add awesome animations to my projects. It's a better way for me to learn while doing.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I use Adobe XD for web design and user experience purposes. For me, it's a great tool because it's time-saving and quality-driven.I use it to create web page user interfaces. It's pretty simple and offers more extensive features as compared to if I had to work only with website builders (that are somewhat limited). After creating the user interface, I export them in individual elements such as PNG or JPG files and sometimes PDF (for the entire page) which I use directly into WordPress using Elementor. It's an innovative way for me to get projects done on time whenever I feel they're bulky and I'm somehow pressurised by customers.Adobe XD empowers my designs with powerful animations that I could realize using extra tools like GSAP or similar alternatives. It's ease-of-use and versatility makes it one of my most recommended software for both web design and web development.

#### Cons

Like any other Adobe product, XD can sometimes be challenging - with its extensive features, it can appear to be hard to learn and adapt to but with time, everything is because of a child's play.

#### Reasons for switching to Adobe XD

Some reasons why I switched from these tools include:- Limited design capacities- Compatibility- Prototyping-oriented and there are many other reasons.

### Web design and presentation materials are possible with intuitive work.

It's a good thing it's basic and easy to use. I believe that anyone can create a user interface using this. It's much lighter than Illustrator or Photoshop, and it never hardens. Because you can link to other Adobe CC products, it's a good idea to pick colors and fonts from there and apply them similarly. It is used as a basis for photo layout and works well with classic Illustrator and Photoshop.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It is beneficial when establishing and managing a complete project as a UI design. Component setups, grid repetition, and responsive scaling are all UI layouts that necessitate a consistent format. A program that was just added as a new Adobe CC add-on. It can create a wide range of user interfaces, including WEB design, quickly. In addition to static photographs, you may use the include option to create pages with motion comparable to the site's image. Most of them are utilized in web design, but they may also be used extensively to generate presentation materials and activities of other parts.

#### Cons

I was initially surprised since the feel was slightly different as someone who has spent a long time creating web designs in Illustrator/Photoshop.

#### Reasons for choosing Adobe XD

Because there is a facility to exchange data and make comments, you can save the hassle of transmitting data each time and point out the correction section, which is highly beneficial when you can't meet in person due to working from home, etc. Furthermore, before releasing it on the web, you should verify the actual movement of the drill to ensure that it is easy to understand and correct.

#### Reasons for switching to Adobe XD

Recommendation for user interface, web, and other designers. I made the image in Dreamweaver and used it in the final code. You may also export it in sections from Dreamweaver, which can speed up the coding procedure.

Overall, I have had a very pleasant experience working on Adobe XD and would say that it is the best website and application prototyping software by a long shot. It has all the features I could ask for and more. I am very satisfied with all the projects that I work on with Adobe XD.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

My absolute favorite feature of Adobe XD is the fact that I get complete creative freedom over all of my designs and get to make them look like whatever I want to. I also like that I get to add transitions to my designs to make them come to life and test what they would look like on a website. Lastly, I love the usability testing feature because it allows the user to test the prototype as if it were live on the web. This feature also gives users to present their designs in a lively manner to clients or co-workers.

#### Cons

The only thing that I dislike about Adobe XD would be that I don't know that much about the collaboration tools, API, and activity dashboard features which I feel sound like crucial features to my experience of the app. I tend to collaborate a lot with peers and co-workers, so I feel like the "collaborations tools" feature would be such a great thing to know about. My only suggestion to make this application better would be to make these features more visible to the users and promote them more.

I am using Adobe XD for UX Designing since 2017. It was a great experience for me. It didn't take much time and effort to learn this. Now I can create anything in Adobe XD. Animating a prototype whether it's a Website or Mobile App is my favorite thing. I used Figma Also but, Adobe XD is one step ahead in my case. I can directly edit an image from Adobe XD to Photoshop which makes it different from other applications around.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Adobe XD stand in one of the most using UX Tools. Adobe did really a good job by creating this. Let me share my experience with Adobe XD: 1) It's very light, fast, and easy to use. 2) Working on multiple artboards and animating them while prototyping is an awesome feature. 3) Adobe XD is very good at managing assets, layers, and components. 4) Support for Cloud is outstanding. there are many more features...

#### Cons

1) Sometimes, it gets closed automattically. I am not sure if the problem is on my end or not. 2) Pen tool can be improved a little bit. 3) Too much use of the artboards can lead to a laggy environment.

#### Reasons for switching to Adobe XD

I used to create Wireframes and Prototypes for Mobile Apps and Websites in Adobe Photoshop. But managing assets and artboards were very difficult at that time. So, I switched to Adobe XD and that was the day when I experienced a whole new thing.

#### Ratings breakdown

The major reason I love Adobe XD is that its offline software. I can do my work with or without connecting to the internet.

#### Cons

The fact that I cannot save my file in a generic file type so that I can open it on any UI/UX software is a turn-off to me.

#### Reasons for switching to Adobe XD

I made the switch from Figma because of Adobe XD's offline work capabilities.

### Nearly perfect tool for UI/UX designers | Still behind Sketch and Figma

I use XD for wireframing, designing UI for web and mobile apps and so far I felt good as I'm already an Adobe user so it feels like using the familiar tool. Sharing and prototyping is also good enough but sometimes I feel that XD doesn't have some features that Sketch and Figma have or maybe it's not widely accepted in the market yet but It's an Adobe product so I think in coming years it will be the leading tool for UI/UX designers.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

It's an Adobe product so it's more reliable and cross-compatible with other tools like Photoshop and Illustrator which we are using for years. The UI is very modern and simplistic so even a beginner can get hold of it easily and it's a blessing for non-designers too. Earlier I was used to designing in Photoshop and doing my prototype and review on Invision but now with Adobe XD it's just one tool that lets me design, prototype, share, and get feedback.

#### Cons

Some features that competition has for say Figma and sketch. Figma and Sketch feel more premium and widely accepted tools or just much more polished. Adobe XD has mostly all required features but sometimes a client doesn't rely on it and insists to use Figma or sketch. I miss plugins in XD, Figma has an edge there.

#### Reasons for switching to Adobe XD

Adobe is more reliable and big-name and since I was already a cloud member I thought it's a great deal to use XD.

Adobe XD comes as a great solution in designing at a greater level for applications and websites. It has all the fonts and colors that one can desire for something unique. Creating animations and having to preview them is another great feature I enjoy.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The first thing I enjoy upon opening Adobe XD is its easy to use user interface no matter what device I'm using it on. On working with it I love that it allows me to put my designs in a 3D dimension so that I can put everything in perspective when designing. It presents realness by allowing layering of objects backward and forward while also in 3D. Since I design for both Android and Apple devices, I am always happy that it contains art boards for all new devices. Another feature are the prototypes that we create, good thing we can easily incorporate hyperlinks and make them clickable. Before exporting files it allows me to change the quality of my images and their sizes with its enhanced export controls which is very useful. I have used its many features but another one I love is the ability to blur other areas while making others more focused.

#### Cons

It is an advanced solution which does not include in app quick tutorials for important features which needs much exploration on your own to maximize usage of all its features.

#### Reasons for choosing Adobe XD

Adobe XD is easy to use, it integrates easily and it is unique.

Overall, Adobe XD has been an invaluable web design tool for our business. It's much easier to use than many of the other, similar software out there and already comes with our Adobe CC subscription, making it a no-brainer!

#### Cons

As Adobe XD continues to update, I'm sure there will continue to be more and more features. Increased functionality with its prototyping abilities is one area where I'd love to see continued improvements.

Adobe XD excels at prototyping and sharing designs with clients, thanks to its user-friendly interface and robust community support. However, its subscription-based strategy is costly for small firms, and the absence of offline capabilities can be limitations.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Adobe Xd provides a simple and easy option to share a prototype with the client and closed user group. Great user interface, simple to use, and an easy learning curve. Best option for prototyping and beneficial in some design tasks where vector related software is not required. I we have any questions or queries we have a community support which is one of the great option to resolve issues

#### Cons

Cost is one of the major factor when it come to any Adobe products. Small and medium business are not ready to afford these tools. Initially it was free to use but now I think we have to pay $10 ever month. Another drawback is that it lacks the offline work mode option.

My experience has been positive, I grasped the essentials simply enough beyond minor differences compares to other software and whenever anything new comes along there are a wide variety of tutorials both official and by other creatives to find advanced functions. After importing art assets made with other Adobe programs there is a major satisfaction in seeing your carefully made digital design pieces link together and form a cohesive narrative, functioning as a singular design in tandem.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Adobe XD is a fairly simple to learn program for handling front-end app/website design and interplays easily within the Adobe program framework by importing designs from their suite. It does have a steeper learning curve than Illustrator for example in my opinion, but it is integral in clearly building a flow between pages on a digital display. The animation methods in it let even a novice create common menus and transitions which is encouraging.

#### Cons

It can take getting used to in understanding the overall actions menu which has less options visible than are shown by default in other Adobe offerings like Photoshop. As well there are two areas split between design and prototyping to learn.

### Adobe XD Has Redefined Our Web Page Development Process

I was introduced to Adobe XD during a recent college-level UX design course through UC San Diego. Our team has access to Adobe CC, so it made the application readily available for our use. Our former web page development process was a myriad of review rounds and drafted page builds that couldn't be directly commented on. At the time, we were wrapping up a redesign of our website, and we wanted a process moving forward that would provide speed and agility when building out new pages. We wanted to look at the priority and content before incorporating design elements. Now, building web pages has never been a smoother process. We first host a brainstorming session with stakeholders, then we quickly build out a wireframe using a template we created in Adobe XD, and share it with stakeholders for feedback. They can interact with the wireframe in the browser without much direction and then drop in their feedback directly into the wireframe through tags and comments. We are planning on implementing user testing with these wireframes in the near future, as well. And, thanks to Adobe XD, we can easily make this happen.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The user interface of Adobe XD essentially walks you through the process of building an interactive wireframe for user testing or for client review: Design, Prototype, and Share. The Design workspace provides quick tools, such as a pen, text, and shape tools, that provide us with endless editing options and templates for mobile, tablet, desktop, or custom sizes. Art boards can be arranged in sections and items can be duplicated and adjusted efficiently. The Prototype workspace provides options to link art boards together and build in the interactivity component for testing the user journey. The Share workspace provides options to create multiple review links or to update the current review link with changes. We can build out simple wireframes or design full app interfaces in such a short timeframe.

#### Cons

There is one contingency when sharing wireframes through a browser link—the stakeholder must have a trackpad or scrolling mouse to scroll and interact with the wireframe. We found it's best to instruct stakeholders to view the wireframes from their laptop. My team shared a wireframe with a stakeholder to review a landing page layout, only to discover this small bug. She couldn't scroll down or interact with the wireframe, and, after reading a lot of support tickets on Adobe's website, it was because she was using a mouse with a tracking ball. It was such a small issue, however, and it didn't impact our workflow enough to consider an alternative.
