Best free desktop vector graphics tool
Krita has been my choice of a vector graphics editing tool, because it's free and still powerful.
PROSThere are many tutorials for Krita out there, which makes it much easier to use the tool. It's packed with features like brushes and shapes. The application also runs smoothly. And it's entirely free!
CONSYou have to look at the small stuff to find flaws in Krita, but I think the tool is due for an interface overhaul, since it seems dated and isn't self-descriptive.

Open Source drawing software made by artists
I use Krita both for private projects and professionally. I was looking for a digital painting software that would be able to go head-to-head with Photoshop in that regard and I found it in Krita. It is a great piece of software that allows me to create art uninterrupted and with ease. The default brush selection is amazing and the functions are familiar if you used Photoshop so there is almost no learning curve. For work, I use Krita to generate small graphics for the website that need that "hand made" feel rather than the sleek vector design required for some other projects. All in all, I would highly recommend Krita to anyone looking to draw or paint. The best thing is that it has no subscription fee, it is absolutely and completely free.
PROSIt has digital painting and drawing as its main focus. Other similar software focuses on photo manipulation primary and painting secondary, while Krita has it the other way around. The user interface and tools at your disposal are all made for content creation. It is a very refreshing take on a digital painting software. Krita also comes with a great set of brushes, once again, optimized for digital drawing and painting.
CONSI loved Krita but from time to time I had issues with brush lag with both my Wacom and my Huion tablets. I would draw a line and it would appear seconds later, or it would decide to dance around the canvas creating a scribble rather than a straight line.
Reason for choosing Krita
It was more focused into digital drawing, which is what I needed at the time.
Reasons for switching to Krita
We could not afford the expensive subscription that Adobe pushes.

Approachable Elegant Software with the Usual Open Source Roadblocks
Overall, Krita is a very capable product, great for learning, and acceptable for its purposes. In the long run, a user running any kind of enterprise or business will likely want to find a paid product for the Quality Assurance and Support that comes with it.
PROSIt was approachable and pretty full-featured in its design. The docking system is convenient and after a few basics I was able to get a good ways before really having to resort to online materials for extra help. The dock, tile, and brush system are all very solid and flexible. Although the layout is messy in some ways it keeps the main tasks fairly up-front and simple. They also seem to be constantly updating the program. While it doesn't have touch controls, its support for my drawing tablet seemed to be pretty robust (full disclosure, there are so many tablets on the market that it's hard to say whether my experience is representative).
CONSThe cons, sadly, made my time with Krita limited and I soon had to switch to a comparable paid product. These are issues that, in my opinion plague most free open source projects, so your mileage may vary depending on how important "free" is. First, the documentation is lacking. Sometimes it's just what you expect, but because they are constantly adding features for some features the documentation is missing entirely. Secondly, their constant updates and the nature of a collaborative open source product means a lot of features break for extended periods of time while they get around to figuring them out and fixing them. The result of this is that I felt like I was spending as much time talking to (or reading from) other users on Reddits and forums to figure out what a large number of functions were supposed to do, how they were supposed to work, and what any workarounds were for them being broken. It's due to many similar reasons why I have sworn off open source products in my business, but for students or those without the same concern of clients and running an enterprise, something that works 80% of the time and requires much more involvement might be preferable as it costs 100% less (free!).

Krita: A free yet still incredible drawing tool for Digital Artists and Developers.
Overall Krita is my most used drawing software for a reason. I find it to be the most user-friendly, it's inexpensive and offers so many tools. I make use of other drawing software for other specific needs but for general digital drawing and asset creation I always come back to Krita.
PROSKrita is completely free which is a big bonus and there are many different brushes to download. The software is the easiest I've ever used for digital drawing. It offers so many different tools that all work incredibly. I make use of Krita for creating game assets as well as comics and concept art and it works amazingly.
CONSThe only feature of Krita I don't enjoy is the text. Krita's text system is not great at all. It's very difficult to use and even harder to edit at a later stage. For me personally when it comes to adding text, like for lettering a comic, I export to Clip Studio Paint.
Reasons for switching to Krita
The other software was great and I still make use of them, But krita was the best and most user-friendly for me.

Best FREE Animation software
It has been an overall excellent experience. I love using this software, its so easy and intuitive
PROSThis software has everything you need and it is FREE.
CONSI think it would help if they added in more brush options
Reasons for switching to Krita
Krita has a much wider variety of options for drawing and it is so easy to use or to import assets such as brushes, as well as make your own brushes. For all that, you still get the software for FREE. It has everything that the paid software has.

My feeling and likes about krita
Krita has always been my favourit for last 5 years. Its a great app to work with and so easy for me. And its so good about sizing and all. Honestly its the best app i have ever used in 10 years journey..
PROSIts brushes, like its the best, so many options plus online brushes to be able to add too, they are so smooth and doesnt require to do extra affort on. Its really affective towards my project in a good way. They look really affective and they dont pause in times and doesnt make my project rough. My most favourite were the fineliners and they work so good. They are 10/10 in every rate.
CONSThe least is that the layers, they are a bit hard to work with but still its not hard if i try more. The layers often mix together if i create more than 10, so yeah.

a program which works well and well to start some photo editing or to always use a Graphic tablet
For me, I have enough confidence in the future of this program. And a point that could be added is to edit or annotate pdf documents that have several and to open them on a scroll of pages and not on several layers because when you save the document becomes one and only one page which is searing after Krita is not directly made for that, but it would have been an added advantage.
PROSWhat I like about this program is its value for money. For starters, it is free but above all it is powerful to the point where I can advise it to anyone if they want to have a versatile program in what is drawing, animation photo editing and now vector drawing. but that is only the beginning because the program is always updated (bug correction or addition of new features ...) and topical. In addition, explanatory tutorials are even offered and free to either start from nothing or to go from a program like this one and they are extraordinarily successful.
CONSApart from a few bugs here and there, which is rare, the program is relatively correct. What it doesn't have is allow easy use of pins from other apps on it.
Reason for choosing Krita

Learning with krita
I love Krita and all its options. You can create awesome art and animations for free. It's easily comparable to many paid digital art software,
PROSThere are so many tools and options to enable or disable. It's amazing once you learn what each does. At first it can be a little intimidating but once you figure out all the tools and their functions you can create stunning art. I love that Krita has so much to offer for free.
CONSThere is a bug that makes the tool cursor stuck on color selector. It happens every so often and I'm not sure how to fix it. It fixes itself usually after restarting my computer or unplugging my drawing tablet and plugging it back in.
Reason for choosing Krita
Less bugs and less expensive

Krita Review
My overall experience with Krita has been fun and exciting. It is a simple-to-use software with lots of functionalities to explore.
PROSWhat I like most about Krita is how accessible the different kinds of brushes and drawing/painting options are right from the first page after opening the application. It is also easy to integrate with our existing processes since once designed, an image can be saved in the commonly used formats such as JPEG or PNG.
CONSWhat I liked least about Krita is that editing an imported image is not as intuitive as creating one from scratch, but I consider that a minor issue. On the whole, I like the software.

Krita: come fare grafica a costo zero
Reason for choosing Krita
Ho preferito Krita perchè tra gli editor di grafica gratuiti è quello più completo ed è anche abbastanza stabile

Pretty best free software for designers and illustrators!
The overall experience is very positive. Many functions and features available, a great range of brushes and tools, it runs very quickly even on 4GB / RAM devices. The software is free and it puts it in the top 5 of my favorites for any design work. All recommendations!
PROSKrita is a very easy to use program and all the features are mastered very quickly. It has a very good selection of brushes and tools. It's great that the software is free, so it can help beginners in design and vector drawing to start their careers for free. The software works very well on all laptops / desktops, runs fast and does not take up much memory.
CONSAlthough the software is very good and provides many opportunities for both beginners and experienced designers, I would like there to be a well-adapted mobile version. That would mean a lot to everyone, in those moments when I'm in a hurry or I don't have time, I would like to edit some work on the mobile application, and that is not possible here.

Krita, the 2d tool I've kept coming back to
I've only had an overwhelmingly postive experience with Krita and the community around it.It's one of the main softwares in my pipeline as a creative.
PROSThe best part about Krita is it's brush engine, the vast array of brushes and the feeling while drawing.I've used many 2d apps for Concepting as an Industrial Designer, but I've always felt confident with Krita. It's open source, and it's accessible, and it's feature rich and stable. Krita is one of those softwares that get's installed first after a fresh OS setup.Absolutely must have.
CONSThere is nothing I've experienced with Krita that I've disliked.Problems or bugs get resolved fast, and the community is very supportive.

Using Krita for work
I've been able to create graphics from sketches and based on pictures with Krita. It's help save so much money as well.
PROSI appreciated most its competitive pricing (which is to say, it's free.) I also liked that it's relatively easy to figure out the graphics part.
CONSI really would like to have better text integration. I also have to use Fire Alpaca to create designs with text in them. I would like it if Krita had more font options and more customizable font options for spacing and angling as well.
Reason for choosing Krita
I chose Krita because it was free.

Ok really- I'm an old school artist who loves the messy chaos of canvas and paints, but for those who want to try the modern approach to painting, as well as foregoing a whole living area of artistic clutter, start with Krita.
PROSYou can create your own brushes!!! This software is also responsive to the pressure you apply with the pen. Lots of different features to implement in your art as well.
CONSApplying texts can get a bit wonky. Just a heads up. Otherwise great product!

One of the best digital painting software.
I make good quality designs that I can publish in self-made coloring books, and I learned to do this very quickly.
PROSI was a newbie in painting and drawing editing. I have learned the features I need very quickly. I have always found a very supportive community for all-level users.
CONSIn my opinion, the manual is to be improved. Sometimes I need quick information about how to interpret a feature, an instruction. The manual doesn't contain the necessary information and lacks clarity.

Great for little design tasks
let's start with the fact that it's free and pretty good as an image editor. it's super easy to make gifs or edit creatives, which makes it really useful for small design projects / tweaks.
CONSit's not as robust as other design tools and still missing a lot of functionality (plus the UI can be better) one particular thing that i didn't like is that the software was a bit heavy and as a result of using too much ram it started lagging.
