### About ASP.NET Zero

ASP.NET Zero is a cloud-based software that enables small to large businesses to develop web and mobile applications. The visual setting module allows developers to build custom user interfaces with themes, layouts, colors, header bars, menus, and footers.

Managers can use the dashboard to analyze edition, tenant and income and process subscriptions and recurring payments. ASP.NET allows administrators to set user login, passwords, and email validation pages, manage password complexity settings, track all the login attempts.

Great product for the money! Even if you don't use the RAD tools, and just use it as a boilerplate on steroids it shines. When building an application, it includes a lot of things people leave out as they are nice to haves, but this product includes a majority of these things out of the box!

Functionality

Pros:

When working with the code you soon notice the code is verry verbose and may seem like over kill at times. But the more you look into it you realize it is done just for best practice. This is where ASPNETZERO shines! It is basically a combination of a lot of open-source software that has been curated and assembled to work together properly. This is something most software shops can do and do well. That being said it still takes time & research to do it right, and all resources could be spent for a single app. I'm not sure how many customers ASPNETZERO has, but from the scope of features in the product, the quality of the code, and the amount of documentation available; they have been around the block. I have been using it for three years now and have used it for almost all my new application since.

Cons:

The generator is nice and easy to use, but to get the most out of it you need to be willing to put in the effort to learn how to modify the generation templates. This is the one place that I feel is more like a black box, there is not a lot of documentation on this, and it takes a little skill, but the payoff is huge that being said.

Reasons for choosing ASP.NET Zero

Better overall features, and native code

Vendor Response

Thank you for the thoughtful and insightful review! We're glad ASP.NET Zero has been a strong foundation for your projects over the past three years. We truly value your feedback on the code quality, feature scope, and documentation, it means a lot. Noted on the generation templates, we’re always looking to improve that experience. Thanks again for being part of the journey!

Best Framework in 40+ Years in Industry

5

I have been a software architect/developer for over 40 years and this is by far the best framework I have ever used. It gave our small team a great jumpstart on a new IIOT system that was key in us winning a national innovation award. We could get down to developing the real business code without having to spend valuable time on the cross-cutting underlying framework.

Uses best of class techniques Complete functional starting framework up and running in less than a day Helpful forum and great support Extensable Excellent documentation Access to source code allow developers to see exactly how modules are built to either extend them or just learn how to perform an operation. So many great features...

Cons:

Time consuming to upgrade to next release of Asp.Net Zero if you need a feature. That being said, have found the time to upgrade is still less than developing the feature.

Reasons for choosing ASP.NET Zero

After a quick trial it was obvious that it was well worth the money and after 5 years of use, that proved to be correct.

Hi Terry, Thank you for taking the time to review a ASP.NET Zero. It is great to hear that you are happy with ASP.NET Zero. Your review for the upgrades is duly noted and our developers are acknowledged about it. Please do not hesitate to contacting with us in case you need any help.
