  • Pros

  • It was so good very user friendly, especially features like label and conflicts tracking. Checkin and checkout features are awesome.
  • Perforce is great, when you master it. It becomes a very powerful and useful tool once you know how to use it.
  • It's amazing to use Helix Visual Client (P4V) on different OS platform with similar user experience, really like perforce's strong notion of a changelist.
  • Cons

  • It hanged during a demo which made the demo totally useless. Because of this issue getting difficult to work with only solution seem to be is to kill and restart application.
  • I dislike how when you switch computers it is difficult to keep the documents check out. I got a new computer and I had to contact the admin to release some documents that I had checked out.
  • Sometimes something will go wrong with a check-in and your files will get locked. Eclipse requires restart to reconnect to eclipse plugin.

  • Great overall experience, was offered a lot of help with the set up of Plytix and great customer service help with anything afterwards.
  • It’s is great to store all of your product information and when you have many items it makes it great to have it all in one place.
  • Customer service is amazing!!! They help whenever you need them, even with video chat to really help understand how to use everything.
  • Cons

  • A disadvantage is that the development sometimes takes a little longer or is not relevant for our organization.
  • Some features that competitors have are missing such as hiding attributes for certain products and using workflows.
  • Not much to complain about, because the team is still relatively small it can take a while for some suggestions to be implemented but this is more of an inconvenience than an issue.
