About Notepad++

Notepad++ is a Windows-based solution that helps application developers create and edit source codes in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Matlab, Ruby and Verilog. The sessions functionality enables team members to create multiple active files and store information, such as current files, bookmarks, selections and languages.

Notepad++ allows employees to find and replace text across multiple files based on several methodologies, such as incremental, dialog-based and dialog-free search navigation. The task automation module lets staff members record and reuse document editing action sequences. Additionally, the built-in graphical user interface (GUI) enables supervisors to edit configuration files, customize context menus, add keywords, schedule data backups and generate keyboard shortcuts.

Notepad++ provides plugins, which allows staff members to create messages and notifications to generate instructions or raise queries within the platform. It is open-source and is available for free. Support is extended via documentation, community forums and other online measures.

Perfect text editing software on windows

One of the best text editing solutions out there, its simple the most versitle thing out there and can not be beat on windows devices

Cons:

Nothing, its great. It does not have fancy features or anything in the way which keeps it simple, and being fre and open source is great value!

Notepad++ is a wonderful tool that helps with organization of tasks and information

Overall, I find using Notepad to be very useful for noting my work tasks. I like that I can copy and paste tasks to it as well. It's a very convenient tool to use for staying organized and on track of assignments.

Pros:

I use this software daily, especially at work where I have multiple tasks to do. This program makes it so much easier to keep track of all my assignments I have. I like to note down any important dates, information, assignments, etc. The Notepad makes it convenient since I can also copy and paste assignments onto it.

Cons:

I don't like how the rows extend out as far as they can because this makes it hard to see the other rows below it. I have to go to the next row to see it's info, and when I jump back to the previous long row, it moves my screen too much. However, this issue is not that big since I can always adjust my text.

I use notepad++ when editing configs and making quick notes

Pros:

For tweaking internal scripts, examining logs, or just blindly changing system files, Notepad++ is quick, light, and supports every language we need.

Cons:

It is not made for collaboration, so sharing edits requires working outside the app. Also i can't load huge file easily with that.

Notepad++ is tiny and opens in hardly no time at all, which is great if you need to make a quick tweak to an HTML email, website script or simply want to remember some campaign messages. I love how it auto highlights syntax, which is great for when I’m tweaking code for marketing projects.

Cons:

It’s very basic, particularly for visual formatting it’s plain text oriented; so things like rich text editing and adding images aren’t really in the cards.

Very regular user - Whether I’m tweaking a server config, scribbling down meeting notes, or diving into a massive codebase, it is always reliable. I like it's not a full IDE, does exactly what I need, and gives me the freedom to customize everything. Fast, no‑nonsense editor that just works—hands down, Notepad++ is your go‑to.

The plugin library is a goldmine: Compare, NPPFTP, Emmet… installing new tools is a breeze. I love that I can tweak nearly everything—shortcuts, themes, toolbars—to fit exactly how I work.

Cons:

It’s Windows‑only which is a little annoying. My Mac and Linux server have to wait their turn via Wine/VM.

Lightweight and Effective Note taking and Code

Notepad ++ can easily take Note, Good GUI and easily to use, Light Weight, Can also write code for web developer with clean code structure and have many plugins. The feature I like the most is When I take note I don't need to save my note even though the application close. It save my note data as a cache. This is very cool feature.

Cons:

I have nothing about Notepad ++. Every one can use easily with free. If you don't know this application. I recommand you to use Notepad ++ application.

A good choice when moving for a powerful text editor for the first time

It was a very good transition tool while moving on from the Windows Notepad application, it allowed me to get used to some more powerful features while not changing too much of the UX.
