There is very little to dislike. If anything, keep in mind that you should strive to stay reasonably current as web methodologies change (like the advancement of PHP versions). Keep up to date with your web host and their PHP and MySQL/Maria versions. Xlinesoft has done a great job improving and enhancing this offering, and in keeping the solution current with modern web technologies.

It has provided a product which has a very short learning curve due to its intuitive format. I use it to support multiple enterprises which include. * Healthcare. * Non Profit Organization, that uses it to support over 26 public schools with a program where kids help kids, titled, Helping Hands Ending Hunger. * Book Publishing. * Metallurgical Fabrication Enterprise. * Various Small mom-and-pop operations.

Ease of use, stability, integrates well with databases and other products. The latest version (10.1) of PHPrunner provides allows formatting of final panels presented to the user in a very intuitive environment. I have been using their products since 2005 and have always found them to be solid and reliable. The best part is the intuitiveness that it provides, having a computing experience that spans many, many years I started in the development and programming of systems in 1968, retiring as IT Director for a fortune 1000 enterprise in 2002 for the 1st time and still going with my own company.

I would say although the Help portion is very extensive, sometimes it falls a bit short of providing the answer. Understanding that it is impossible to provide answers to every event or case...

I have been using phpRunner since 2008. I have tried most of the other rapid development software packages and in my opinion, phpRunner was the best choice. I love their latest feature, the new Designer GUI. If you're familiar with Microsoft Access, the Designer GUI is similar. You can drag & drop your fields. You have a properties selection area on the right side. The software is divided up like Access. You start with the Table area GUI, the Query GUI, setting up your field properties and search setting. Then a choice of Security settings. Then you have the Designer GUI and then the Events area. Once you finish building your project you can upload it to the server with their built-in FTP setup. Their support is great and has always been very helpful.

Like with any software there is a small learning curve.

Basically, I am the CEO and developer for a company. I build PHP applications (of course, I'm using PHPrunner) for Training companies which helps them to load their learners and also allows their clients to see what training has been done and also see the trends every month. This has helped training companies boost their client bases which is a win for me.

It saves me from having to learn PHP coding from scratch and helps to rapidly build the applications without much coding. You can connect to multiple databases and you are not limited to just one. The themes are fantastic and you don't really have to do much improvisation. Dashboards are a fantastic feature and makes your application look more professional.

Nothing to dislike, just that sometimes you got to think outside the box if you want extra things to be done, but then again the support is fantastic. I submit a ticket and get a response the very next day and nowhere do I get this kind of service.

I love the fact that you can take an existing Database and with some programming migrate it right into PHP runner given you a professional and customizable web site for your database. I was able to take membership databases and incorporate them so that no matter where the customer was, they could add/edit and lookup data making it great for the gym membership databases that I was servicing.

The ability to support certain USB devices like signature pads - they all can not incorporate into the software.

By making websites through this software and selling to the customer we are making business benefits.

PHPRunner supports variety of databases like MySql, PostgreSql, SQL server and many more. There are ample of themes are available which helps you to design you webpages. It offers large number of ready made templates to make your work easier. You can also create customizable charts and reports in PHPRunner. You can modify or create any table from the PHPRunner only.

As such now I haven’t not seen any disadvantages but yes for a new software you need some learning which is also required for this one too.

It has been so easy to setup a user database to add jobs and send out invoices

The software makes the ability to rapidly deploy a GUI for database administration within a few minutes. It is quick and easy to use and when a custom solution is required the ability to put source is way and fantastic

Firs of all i´m sorry for my english I've been developed php apps from scratch for many years, and i started to test a lot of RAD software and a lot of PHP frameworks to know how can i do my projects in a short time with nice quality and stability, and definitely PHPRunner was the boss, no i can develop web apps in a few weeks instead of a few months. Thx for such piece of software.

I have been a user of PHP runner through many of its versions and it provides an easy to use mechanism for creating Front ends to the MYSQL databases we develop. ITs easy to check progress as work develops by doing a quick build and checking the design and functions

See find it difficult to develop a good graphical product with the software. The new version has made the layout process easier but still some way to go to compete with other software products. But they are often harder to use and more expensive

I have created a donation tracking system for HELPING HANDS ENDING HUNGER LLC used by over 40 schools in Georgia, that tracks unopened/untouched food items that are repurposed at the end of the week as donations which are coupled with food banks donations. The software tracks certain items, their weight, the amount of CO2 Recovery and the number of meals created and number of persons served. Producing reports of items handled and donated. Since the inception of this application is has tracked and allowed to evaluate the effort put fort by kids who are trying to help peers who might otherwise go hungry on weekends. Create tables, link them poperly, create user table, assign permissions, design your pages as you wish, add custom page/code/design (same coding applies) build your project and test localy deploy production version to intranet or internet make desktop app from the same link fb, google account, use other popular storage providers etc. send email, receive email, very usefull - facebook like notifications enough material available on internet for noobs like me, so support is not crucial

Support ! yes, I get really upset when I ask why something which worked till update i get an answer with a hourly quote for support.

But all in all, I can really recommend the program. Dear phpRunner-Team, keep up the good work. I have created many small data collection projects with the program, e.g. for collecting electricity meter data, managing employees and working hours, idea management, help systems, metering, etc. And I have also made 2 big applications: inventory control system with over 10000 items and a program to manage strain measurements, charts, peaks, test patterns.

You can get used to it very quickly and the help is also very good with many practical tips and examples. I have been using phpRunner for many years. There were also some problems with new versions, but the phpRunner-Team personally helped me quickly. I am very satisfied with the program. I especially like the simplicity with which you create the framework of a web application. The user entry points for my own snippets of code are also well-chosen.

What I do not like is that in new versions always new features are added, although there are still enough construction sites from previous version. The largest construction site is the designer, which I finally had in version 9.8 under control. Then came version 10 and that was all different, here I need some time to get used to, especially in applications with many data fields, this is difficult. Here are a few practical examples of CSS or templates, how to optimize the large gaps between fields, how the pages will look as chic as in version 9.8 (with the old design templates).

I really enjoy it. I get that same thrill that I used to get in the old days programming line after line of basic just to watch a sprite move across the screen.. I can't seem to put it down.

The powerful interface and the multilevel creation ability. One can generate a working site in a very short time with very little experience or add jscript and/or php code to make a very sophisticated piece of software

I can't say anything that I dislike. It does keep me up half the night .. Just one more section then I'll go to bed type of thing... I do wish they would make version for developing smart phone apps.

My experience is excellent. I only use PHPRunner for development. The product is getting better and better in every new version. I have developed very simple applications and very complex ones. And the tool helped me always. It is possible to make a very good application without "low code" development, but if you want, you can do it by coding in low level too. The reports, export and import tools, dashboards are excellent tools.

You can develop an application in minutes. And you can develop a huge application too

When version changes, you have to rebuild the whole application

I used this software when i was trying to build a solution for one of my clients and there was no time to start from scratch. I explored hundreds of solutions; none worked to my requirements. Luckily i came across this product, and was amazed how easily it created the website/webforms and linked UI with backend. The amount of customization it supports is amazing, almost all DB's u can think of, great features on the fly like exports to word, excel and pdf, inline edits were really helpful. Wish you guys all the best going forward... Keep up the excellent job! I dont think there is any product in the market which even comes close to your capabilities!

I cant think of any at the top of my head. Installation was very smooth, however a code and db backup strategy would really be helpful!

Upgrades provide challenges with existing projects. Sometimes don't work. Yearly price subscription required to upgrade, if you stop paying then you must repurchase at full price.

We are using this to supplement our older powerbuilder app that uses an MS SQL database. I used to create new screens and functions etc in Powerbuilder when users wanted new functionality. Now I use PHPRunner. It is giving us new 'apps' for the field and for our corporate users.

It is so easy to use. I am NOT a web programmer - well I wasn't - now I am!

I have no cons really. They have a great user forum and if I cannot figure out how to do something I can find the help there.

I am working on a rewrite of an Access case management system that I built 12 years and have supported ever since. I am amazed by how relatively easy it has been to build and get the features I needed. Support here on the PHPRUnner User Group on Facebook is very fast and helpful. Since I am in the 12 months after licensing, I get free support via email from the company (not code) and it has been very responsive. The most difficult part for me has been in figuring out the code I need to write to do special things. Again great support from other users. I have been making a list of places to get help or training available for PhpRunner. Cory's videos are wonderful, the vendor has Live Demos where you can run them to see what is possible and download the project and data and run locally and see how it was built. I could go on and on about resources available to help you.

Almost everything. You can do a simple app with default features very quickly. When building something more complex I typically find there is an option in the software to do what I want.

Somewhat difficult to figure out what code I need for events

Overall, great product. The amount of databases you can connect to is awesome as well as the other features make this a viable option for a quick application.

I like the amount of customization available. The software works great right of the box and then being able to customize my application to my needs is ici g on the cake. I have been using PHPRunner for about 8 years and the improvements are great and keep with the times.

Not much to say negatively about the product. For my needs, the product has worked for me. If I were to say one thing is the newer version is a bit slower when moving through it than previous versions.

I used to programming in RAD (Rapid Application Development) platform for desktop app and I have been looking for similar tool that I can use for web app. So far, PHPRunner is the only tool that is close to RAD and at very reasonable cost. From my previous project, I was able to develop a complete system in less than a month using this tool that would not had been possible with other tools.

The converted app is not cross-platform. With the technologies these days (e.g., electron, etc.) this shouldn't be that hard.
