Ho apprezzato in particolare l’ampio supporto a diversi linguaggi di programmazione, l’integrazione con code repository e la possibilità di collegare facilmente servizi esterni, ad esempio per la gestione di database. Trovo molto utile anche la possibilità di acquistare e amministrare i domini direttamente all’interno del singolo progetto, così come la gestione separata e cifrata delle variabili d’ambiente sensibili, che semplifica molto il lavoro in fase di sviluppo e deploy. Un altro aspetto che considero molto valido è il sistema di build automatizzato con passaggio a caldo tra le versioni, insieme alla distinzione tra ambienti di release e testing. Interessante anche la presenza di strumenti per valutare l’esperienza d’uso del servizio ospitato e ricevere indicazioni utili per migliorarne le prestazioni e la fruibilità. Inoltre, la scalabilità dei piani lo rende adatto sia a progetti più piccoli sia a esigenze più avanzate. Tra gli aspetti meno convincenti segnalo invece l’interfaccia grafica, che a mio parere risulta piuttosto dispersiva e carica di funzioni e terminologia tecnica, quindi non sempre immediata per chi è alle prime esperienze. They both built and deployed on vercel, but were plagued with runtime issues looking for magical paths that are in none of the local builds we can produce.
