Overall great platform and recommended to learn and prepare coding assessments ahead of coding interviews.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

CodeSignal is great learning and applicant assessment platform for learning coding different programming languages and frameworks. With user friendly interface, it makes learning and practical coding fun and interactive.

#### Cons

Very limited free features for free users, Premium costs may be a bit steep. The criteria for passing coding challenge may also be very strict and needs specific requirements even with working code.

### An Actually Enjoyable Algorithms Platform

CodeSignal has become my de-facto platform for practicing algorithms, and it looks like more and more companies are taking to using the platform for applications as well.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Algorithms can be a slog to practice, but CodeSignal offers more features than its competitors that make it actually enjoyable to use. I appreciate the numerous game modes and guided tracks that CodeSignal offers. Combined with the gamified nature - leveling up and earning coins as you go - it's fun to work your way through problems on the platform, and the tracks provide good overviews of important topics to practice. Of course, this would all be meaningless if the problems and coding environment were subpar. Fortunately, CodeSignal offers a good mix of easy to challenging problems. I rarely feel confused as to what a given problem is expecting, and I have never had an issue with the coding environment.

#### Cons

There is not a great aspect of feedback on CodeSignal. After solving a problem, you can view most up-voted solutions submitted by others, but there is no definitive metric for gauging how your submission compares to the optimal solution. CodeSignal could improve through efficiency statistics or explanations for solving problems optimally.

#### Reasons for switching to CodeSignal

CodeSignal's gamified nature and various guided tracks and modes make it more fun to work your way through algorithms than LeetCode's randomized 1000+ problems.

It is ok if you don't need nothing from codesignal team, if you need any request, your nightmare will start.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

Easy to use, thus missing some critical features

#### Cons

Support was ... can't say there's a support. Two year waiting for a vue.js assessment and others, two years waiting to get a few more colors on tags, two years waiting to have the information about who sent the assessment to the candidate, none of those were done. Now we are leaving codesignal, and guess what, there is no way to export any of our tests, those we created manually, even the developer team can do it. This is the support level you will get with codesignal.

#### Reasons for choosing CodeSignal

Easy interface, custom assessments

#### Pros

I don't see any reason to use their software if they are not able to keep recordins safe.

#### Cons

Recently, I took a new assesment in their platform. I completed according to their instructions.(proctoring) And what happened at the end? They just send me an email due to technical issues they invited me to retake assesment. I contacted with their support to get better explanation, and what they said the day I was taking assesment they had issues so they lost all recordings. So what they told basically I spent 1.5 hour in front of computer for nothing. And I have to retake it assesment. They are not taking any responsibility on that issues from their side.

#### Pros

The IDE is great for programming. I used java. The questions I had some were easy, some were hard, but all of them felt nice to code on. It even had a little autocomplete for variable names and such, something very helpful in the midst of a coding challenge.

#### Cons

Honestly, not much. For some of the questions, it highlighted my code, which made it look a little weird, but that is very small. The system is great.
