### About WebLOAD

WebLOAD is a cloud-based and on-premise website performance testing tool designed to help businesses create, run and manage test environments for a variety of technologies, websites and applications. The platform enables organizations to create custom test scenarios, modify session IDS time, record results and more using the drag-and-drop interface.

WebLOAD includes test execution functionality, which allows administrators to build realistic load conditions for multiple users, define goals, distribute processes and capture user experience data. It offers a host of features such as parameterization, multiple testers, response validation, debugging, and more. Additionally, the dashboard lets managers gain insights into test results, identify issues, and compare sessions via reports and analytics.

WebLOAD supports integration with various Application Performance Management (APM) tools to improve root cause analysis during the simulations. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via phone, email and other online measures.

4

Functionality

Pros:

The JS with custom functions were easy to write scripts in and fast to implement. The vUser parameters and use of the load generators were straight forward to implement the behaviors we wish to replicate as well.

Cons:

Sometimes the agent that manages the remote load testing execution was unstable, so we had to implement some restart actions prior to running our load tests. It wasn't a critical problem, but was a simple solution we added to our load testing process.

Reasons for switching to WebLOAD

The expensive complex infrastructure from HP wasn't necessary and also their scripting framework was outdated when compared to the simplicity of using JavaScript.

Good performance testing tool

4

Ratings Breakdown

4

Ease of use

4

Functionality

Pros:

One of the standout features of WebLOAD is its ability to simulate realistic user scenarios. The tool allows developers and QA's to create complex user scenarios that mimic real-world usage patterns, which can be invaluable for identifying performance issues and bottlenecks in web applications. Additionally, WebLOAD allows developers and QA's to test the applications across a range of different platforms, including desktop and mobile devices.

Cons:

A limitation of WebLOAD is that it is primarily designed for testing web applications. While it can be used for testing other types of applications, such as APIs or mobile apps, it may not be as effective in these contexts. This can be a problem for organizations that need to test a variety of applications and services.
