Acuity Scheduling is a cloud-based appointment scheduling software solution that enables business owners to manage their appointments online. The product caters to the needs of small and midsize businesses as well as individual professionals.

Acuity Scheduling lets users automate appointment bookings by offering a real-time view of their own time available. It has the capability to automatically sync calendars according to users’ time zones and can send regular alerts and reminders to users regarding their appointment schedules.

Acuity Scheduling’s scheduling feature set includes customizable intake forms, embeddable calendars, third party application calendar synchronizing, and group scheduling for workshops.

Acuity Scheduling is suitable for service-based businesses such as training and tutoring centers, coaching and consulting, photography and video production companies, fitness studios, salons and spa centers and health and dental clinics. The solution offers a free basic module and is available as a monthly subscription. Best affordable scheduling software!

Pros

Clients can schedule their appointments and pay online which means we pay our satellite office less in administrative fees.
It is by far the most flexible scheduling software that I've found. If you're schedule is more than a simple hour by hour appointment schedule, this is the software for you.
I like being able to have clients complete forms and email them directly from within Acuity. The pricing is great and the paid functions do a lot and allow you to customize more things.

Cons

There was a steep learning curve in thee beginning and it took me longer than I would have liked to get it up and running.
No phone support

As with most new technology and being all me a novice when it comes to this kind of platform I found acuity to be Extremely easy to use, and that’s good looking, and it wasn’t clunky.

Pros

Fast, easy set up and website integration. Streamlined processes, easy payment options, various appointment types depending on your business and I have a multi platform business which runs anywhere from physical therapy, to online classes and actual events hosted at various locations. Easy to set up and schedule.

Helpdesk and tutorials are fabulous.

I would also say that using this platform expanded my out reach. Having a professional, organized, calendaring system clearly impressed new clientele as my head count went up at most events when using this program.

Did I say it was easy to use? Very!

I am not a web designer. Although there are a lot of platforms that make it easy for us all to design webspaces and destinations now there are still some spaces where in a grading a Calendar system and appointment scheduling platform can be tricky. The directions work easy, and seamlessly. I was able to integrate Acuity Into my website in literally, minutes. And... As I was using Google calendar as my booking system I was pleasantly relieved to see that I could integrate that calendar into the scheduling system so as not to double book myself.

I really love this platform.

I honestly can’t believe I waited so long to jump on an opportunity like this.

Cons

Are there cons?

If you are unfamiliar with some of the functionality there are plenty of tutorials and assistance to get you started, including live chat. So you do not need to be a pro.

I have no major issues. I had a few small bumps in the road but that was mainly because I didn’t know what I was doing. But as I said helpdesk was instantaneous in response, and There is a library of great information to assist me with my confusion.

Pros

I like the help menu. When I need a question answered it is straight to the point. The online format is neat (Not busy) and not hard for customer to use.

Cons

Integration with other software is not very flexible. Name of fields vary. It would easier if that matched.

Pros

Acuity allows you to customize just about everything under the sun - and even the free version isn't lacking for features! It's been a life changer when it comes to laying out my schedule. With the paid version, it syncs to your Outlook Calendar automatically and blocks people from making appointments during times that you have other events on your calendar! It's basically a computerized personal assistant. It's all very intuitive as well.

Cons

I wish we could purchase a corporate package for more than just a few employees - we have about 25+ people who use it but the "company" plan doesn't cover that many.

Soooo easy to setup. I literally took 30 min and customized every aspect of Acuity to provide one of the prime offers for my business. Another 5 min and it was integrated into my website. Oh did I mention that I did this on phone?!?! All the features that Acuity offers are well worth the extra $ per month vs. Calendly. Calendly is also a great product, but the cleaner installation, and customization was with it to me.

Cons

Not a whole lot to say on the negative side... It took a little longer to setup​, but I did it on my phone while riding in a car (no I was not driving). Also a little more expensive than Calendly, but for my business, it's worth it.

If you're a very small business and don't need to keep track of missed, attended or cancelled appointment Acuity is the system for you. If you do I would recommend checking out other softwares.

Calendar syncing is very easy! And my clients can add it to theirs easy! The custom embedded feature is very nice too!

Cons

Price is just a bit too high, I would love it a month or below... many other scheduling apps are cheaper but not as easy to use!

We saved lots of money in administrative costs, because everyone loved to use our online scheduling instead of calling in.

Pros

It's so user friendly, we constantly get positive comments about it. Literally no patient had an issue figuring it out. We love that we can embed it on our website and personalize everything. The price is competitive. It's feature rich. We love that we can collect all the patient info right at the time of scheduling. And, even though it's awesome, they're still making it even better. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Cons

We wish it was a full EHR software. We ended up moving to the online scheduling that was integrated with our EHR, and we still miss Acuity.

Its a streamlined way to get appointments online. I am just starting out so I enjoy the convenience of the app. The guidance is clear and easy to understand, too. That is much appreciated.

Pros

I love that you can do it ALL in this app. I set my schedule, arranged the emails, created contact forms for each type of appointment, and put the appointment button on my website. I get a notice when I have an appointment set or changed. This scheduling App is exactly what I needed for my new business!!

Cons

I currently use the free edition. The only thing I would like to see added to those features is calendar syncing to the same calendar that the email notification gets sent to.

I love the formatting for scheduling an appointment (client facing) as well as the way you can build out a questionnaire. The e-mails pop up on my end in an easy to read way. I also love how I can customize everything to my branding.

More features than Calendly

Pros

This tool is probably the most important part of my client acquisition system. I am in digital marketing and I use it for strategy calls with business owners. I run Facebook ads which link to my scheduling page for viewers who want to learn more, and I get a much higher conversion rate than simply asking for their information .
Another thing to note is I used to use Calendly but I prefer the layout of Acuity and it has more features.

Cons

If there was a way for people to just choose a day rather than a specific time, I would be using this for my real estate clients for bookings, because when I cannot integrate Acuity with a clients calendar software, giving the option to choose a day and have the real estate agent get back with a preferred time is the second best option.

Pros

Use friendly, simple set up, shareable link. I like how easy this is to set up quickly and to simply share the link with my clients to set up their weekly check in calls is great. It is a professional, seamless way for them to manage their schedule best.

Ease of appointment scheduling! I've eliminated back and forth when needing to schedule a training or meeting. With Acuity, I send a link and then the person gets my availability!

Pros

Pros

I love that my clients or myself can schedule appointments and that both parties are sent an email reminder. This really helps me keep track of everything in one place.

Cons

I'm not a huge fan of the fact that it only shows certain times to clients based on the hours I am avalialbe. I wish there was a setting in which I could allow them to choose anytime within my set availiabe hours.

I have used the free and paid version of Acuity for quite some time now. Its easy to use. I like being able to have clients complete forms and email them directly from within Acuity. The pricing is great and the paid functions do a lot and allow you to customize more things. The free plan is amazing by itself. I think this was worth the investment.

Cons

The free plan doesnt allow you to accept payments. It would be great if they allowed limited appointment types to accept payments. Thats the main reason I upgraded. I am seeing more schedulers offer texting, that would be a great feature to send out reminders to clients.

I really have no complaints about my encounter with this software, if I was nitpicking I would say that the side menu to customize settings can be a little overwhelming at first but it's still easy to use and with anything takes some time to getting used to.
