Appointments Plus has terrific support. Questions are answered promptly and they work!
It has simplified my life and greatly reduced my stress. Now I can focus on my practice.
PROSThis software is easy to manage and negotiate. I've been a user for almost 3 years and am still very satisfied.
CONSSometimes I can't find what I'm looking for, especially if I decide to change something in my setup. I have found that if I'm patient, I find it.

DaySmart Appointment-Plus Highly Recommended
We have been using DaySmart since 2012 when it was called Appointment-Plus. The appointment scheduling system just works so well for our business. The fully customizable program fits our needs well and when we need to add on to or make a change to the scheduler, it can be done quickly with little or no down time. The prompt level of service that customer support offers is my favorite feature.
CONSSetting up DaySmart initially was a little challenging due to the many options that are available. The staff assisted me and we have been using the same business model ever since 2012.

Stay away from this product! Poor customer service when things go wrong. Too pricy.
For may years, I've put up with poor customer service, glitches from time to time, the whole system being out for a few days at a time. Before, the price was right to put up with all of these issues. Now, the price is so great I refuse to keep going. I'm currently looking for another service. I don't feel like I was taken care of with my latest issues. DS lost/deleted hundreds of past completed sessions throwing off our packages. It took weeks for someone to finally look into the issue and get it fixed. This cost us hundreds of dollars because we had no idea when it was time for some clients to pay. It also cost hundreds of dollars extra in employee pay. Because of the lost sessions, I had no true idea how much to pay my employees because we depend on DS to track this for us. Because I didn't want to short change any employee, I had to increase pay to make sure they were paid at least what they were owed for their work. DS completely failed us. I asked for a refund for the month you lost our data but never got a response except to say "you were looking into it." I really should receive around 4 months free because that's about what this has cost me in terms of dollars spent/lost income from DS. [sensitive content hidden] was the only one that stayed in touch once she was made aware of the issue. Until then, I never heard a word on if the issue was even being worked on.
PROSI like the recurring scheduling that we do as well as tracking client appointments/packages.
CONSCustomer service is very poor. I have been with Appointment Plus/Day Smart for over 15 years and I have never liked not being able to actually talk to a human being. You are the weakest in your customer service. Not being able to actually speak with someone about an issue wastes time. Now, your pricing is way more than what I can justify (especially with all the glitches that occur).

It is able to be connected to from anywhere. Usually support staff are quick to follow up on issues (but not always). Updates are generally instantaneous.
CONSThere are too many ways to do each individual thing - meaning I could have something turned on in three different spots, but because it's turned off on a 4th, it won't work. This makes it difficult to realize issues are occurring or where the origin of the issue is.I wish I had more control over what other people can do, such as clients being able to go in and change their own appointments, that's not ideal, but I don't have the power to restrict their access further. Or preventing location users from creating profiles while still letting them input their own appointments.

Easy to Use
I would say good. It was bumpy in the beginning, but that was due to the integration with our EHR. I do not put that blame on DaySmart. The product itself is a great product and met our needs completely.
PROSI like that the software is an easy to use product. The calendars can be shared amongst all within our clinic, which is a plus. Repeat appointments can be scheduled, which saves time on our end. It has reporting features that we use and like.
CONSHonestly, the one thing that we did not love about the system is the fact that it integrated with our EHR but the information feeding into the system could not feed back. It was an issue at first, but in reality, the product still met our needs and is easy to use.

My overall experience is good, but as any software goes there is always room for improvements.
PROSThe easy ability to make appointments.
CONSThe client database should eliminate duplicate entries, improve cancels and rescheduling to eliminate duplicate entries. Clients have trouble trying to schedule online from the portal due to missing or forgotten passwords or the email address is incorrect. We need more online classes updating us with changes and new features (e.g., fee collecting and monthly payment reporting).

Great Resource
Overall it has been a very great product. I think it a great tool for the line of work I used it for.
PROSI used this for a side-gig I was a part of . I was a field interviewer (independently contracted) for the ATL Housing Authority alongside Emory University. We used this software to schedule in-house interviews with respondents. This was my first time using the software and it was very user friendly. It helped me/us keep track of who was being interviewed, where, how long etc.
CONSTo me the look and feel of the app was a bit outdated. I think it definitely needs to be updated, but other than that I think the product works just fine.

Wonderful and very useful appointment system
It is a very helpful system. It has made scheduling appointments so much easier for our advisors. It is also great that the whole team can see what other members are doing. Printing daily reports is also very beneficial.
PROSIt is very beneficial that our customers can set up their own appointments.

We have been with DaySmart since 2008. It is easy to use and to interface with.

CONSSet up can be time consuming if you are a first timer. I would suggest using the DaySmart team to assist you in your initial setup and trial run.

DaySmart was a great addition to our department.
Love it. The customer service has been exceptional and amazing!!
PROSThe ability for clients to schedule their own appointments in place of contacting one of our staff and going back and forth via email has been a definite game changer for us since we implemented DaySmart back in May of this year.
CONSEvery once and a while we have a feature turn off unbeknownst to us and we get a message from a user that something isn't working correctly so we can go in and turn that feature back on.

Daysmart is easy to navigate, add, change or delete appointments. The reporting tool is easy to use and import. You can create various reports to customize individually. Searching for appointment and clients is easy to use.
CONSI did not like that clients can create multiple appointments which created a shortage of needed appointments. It would be great if DaySmart could block this capability.

Great value for money and easy to use
This scheduling program has allowed us to customize the availability of each provider, who can make changes to their availability for meetings, days off, and vacations easily. The providers can see real-time changes to their daily schedules. It is also easy to see a client's appointment history and generate a report for the purpose of appointments attended, canceled, no shows, etc. We also often use the feature to schedule recurring appoints for clients who want the same appointment at the same time each week.
PROSWe use this product daily to schedule our clients across 8 providers. It allows us to separate out each provider's availability, mark changes with different colors, create reports to show reasons for appointment cancellations, all while allowing each provider to access their own schedule anytime and having the office staff oversee all 8. We can see all open appointments on any given day, or all open appointments for a specific provider by the week. We use this calendar scheduling platform separate from other office software, but it is simple to keep the window open in Chrome and open it to make client appointments.
CONSReally nothing that we don't like about the program after using it for several years. We went to this from paper schedule book and haven't looked back.

Appointment Plus Scheduling
Overall we are pleased with the tool...probably not using the tool to its fullest potential.
PROSThe solution to identify our clients, allowing the client to book appointments and to capture the notes of each appointment - able to cut and paste email notes and using the profile screen to further identify the clienet
CONSWe were able to "go back" to a previous date and add an appointment (to capture notes) for a client that was not part of the location that was open. We could actually have several "appointments" in a day that was actually from different clients even thought the location that they were associated and linked to - was not OPENED in the exceptions. We would still like to be able to capture notes from a client that possibly called us, from another location, but we are not able to identify the essence of the call / appointment.

12 year customer who found out was being overcharged and Prez refused to make right.
It's really hard to switch appointment companies. That is why we stayed with them for so long. And even though we did get use to the software and even appreciated it over the years, there were a lot of bugs in the system. Some that were years old and we just delt with. They just have limited resources or a lackadaisical attitude to fix the bugs. But the icing on the cake is when our Merchant Services company provided us with information that stated the way the code for their interface was overcharging us, the information was brought to the company, they refused to make it right. Cost us THOUSAND$ of dollars.
PROSMany functions (although some were buggy)
CONSLots of bugs. Years of unresolved issues. Very lackadaisical attitude toward fixing bugs. Coding overcharges in POS and the President refused to make right. Randomly charges clients credit cards when not supposed to (very upset clients who think you are purposely overcharging them).

Please do not waste your time or money
Their customer service is dreadful. But what is worse is that they cannot seem to fix the problem with their software because they don't know where it is!!! I was actually told that by the head of tech support. So why am I still with them you may ask? Well, they are embedded in my website and until I can find an effective substitute I am stuck with them.
PROSPerfect for a small business with many short appointments BUT SINCE THEIR LAST UPDATE IT DOES NOT FUNCTION AS ADVERTISED
CONSWe have been with the company since 2015. They were wonderful in the beginning. The 2017 update was the beginning of their downfall. Since that time the bugs in their system have been increasing to the point where none of my clients can confirm or change appointments. Google is better since it is free.

Great Scheduling Software on a Budget
Despite the slightly tricky questions this is a great scheduling software that we have had great luck using for years now. I would highly suggest this over some other options out there as once you are set up it really is extremely user friendly.
PROSThere is great customer support and help setting up your Scheduler and users. If you have multiple offices there is also the ability to handle that as well. I find the appointment reminder email to our patients to be perfect. You can allow them to confirm or reschedule and if you choose to add this to your website they can schedule an appointment themselves right online.
CONSSome of the setup questions seem straight forward but can be a bit tricky and confusing as to the correct way to answer to assist the setup. If you schedule an appointment at the end of your day you have to adjust the length of time of the appointment to fit otherwise it will not allow you to schedule the appointment. Therefore, if you schedule until 4:00 then as some time on the schedule so that you can schedule that slot.

Crashing Issues
We were satisfied with DaySmart until recently. Unless we see an improvement soon, you will leave us no option but to seek a better, more reliable option.
PROSGood for student and appointment data base.
CONSThis system has been crashing on us for over a month. We get logged out, find it difficult to log back in. This is frustrating as we have customers standing in front of us and we have to constantly apologize for making them wait while we try to get back on.

Very Positive Experience With the Software and the Customer Support Team
Ease of use and the support you receive from customer service is top notch. As soon as a ticket is submitted to look into any matter, you receive a follow up. Very happy with our experience with product.
CONSAlthough I have had a very positive experience with the software, the only item that can be of concern sometimes deals with the speed of the interface during peak times. Sometimes the software seems to go slower during certain peak times.

Thank you for the last 3 years.
We had a rough start early on in the partnership with the speed of the API's but once we got past those issues things have been smooth sailing. We didn't cancel because the of anything Appointment Plus did or did not provide, it just didn't make sense for us to continue using it when we had created our own functionality within our application to do scheduling. Overall we had a great partnership with Appointment Plus and I would recommend it to any one looking for a scheduling application.
PROSAPI's were dependable once we got them up to our satisfaction
CONSAlong the same line as the Pros, the API's couldn't handle larger amounts of data. We attempted to get schedules for 30 days at a time and the API's could only handle 14 days at a time. This required us to make multiple calls when we wanted to go past 14 days.

Fast & Helpful
Any time I have ever had an issue or problem, I submit a ticket, they respond telling me they received it and they are working on it. Then, usually within the same day they get back to me and the issue is resolved. They explain why it happened, how to prevent in the future, if applicable and they also give me other helpful resources. I am a very satisfied customer!
PROSEase of use and adaptability! There is a lot to this software, but we only use it for a very specific reason and it is very adaptable for what we need it for. It is very easy to use...anybody can log on and just intuitively pick it up and run with it...seriously!
CONSThe reporting function gets a little confusing, probably because there are so many options to choose from.

Appointment Plus Is Average
Very detailed with an abundance of functionality Appointment Plus is a great tool if you have multiple applications in a dynamic setting.
CONSThe UI leaves quite a bit to be desired and customer support isn't always the most effective solution.

needs improvement
it crashes alot and have to call often for it to get the needed help to work.Not being able to schedule ahead like months ahead.Recurring events make it really hard, it doesn't describe what an event is just time and dates

Appointment plus has been great. Our team has really grown fond with it, and have built it up more to help with everyday tracking of not only loads, but receiving information needed.
PROSThe abilities to run and tinker reports whether its for a carrier report, or internal. They are east to work with and can be taught easily to other departments.
CONSNot being able to keep users to one name or having the ability to look up carriers by actual first and last name.

A good software
It is a good software which has most of the features you would generally use for its purpose but still a lot of scope.
CONSUpdate was a major fail. It was really disappointing. Hopefully they are looking into it seriously and come up with something better.

Lots of hidden costs & NO refund policy - AVOID
AppointmentPlus charges for all basic app features such as text reminders, rebook or marketing email and online payment. They work with a third party company for online payments. The company charges a monthly fee and takes a percentage of every transaction which is not economically feasible and defeats the whole purpose of using an online app to save manpower cost for booking. On top of that, all aspects of their interface is counter-intuitive which will require lengthy staff training time. The company promised us they are the solution to all our needs but when we tell them we don't think it's the case after an hour of trying. They said we don't refund. We fought for it and they finally gave us our money back because we didn't even use the system, they took a hefty service fee.
