It the pick of the lot
Easy to learn to use and teach staff.
PROSI found it all very user friendly and easy to learn how to use. Customer support has been excellent.
CONSI would have preferred if it had forms also so we could do service agreements in here.

Brevity was way too clunky - I did like that it has service agreements in it, but otherwise it was way harder to use then shiftcare.

Best Database for shifts
Very happy, it has everything I was looking for. It is affordable Great staff Helps us to comply with NDIS audit
PROS1. It is very easy to use for both admin (those you create and change shifts) as well as for staff (who uses the app from their phone). 2. It is linked to a GPS, so when workers clock on we can see where they were. This is so useful for auditing. 3. Shiftcare staff are very professional and always ready to help. I like that they are constantly improving the site. It is affordable and price can constantly change according to the number of staff we have We can share notes with other staff members so other healthcare involved can know about it the health condition of our common client
CONS1. Invoicing: I find it hard to use it since it often does not completely match the reality of what we need have to pay (to staff) or charge (to clients). But. it might be just us, the way we are running the payments.

It is more specific for our field (NDIS). It allows to write progress notes (crucial) and to upload all the documents.
Reasons for switching to ShiftCare
CommCare was not as sophisticated and easy to use as ShiftCare. Also, we were looking for a system with GPS incorporated.

A Great App
Once set up, it eases - scheduling and invoicing.
CONSNot enough automation, with profile - where plan is half NDIA and half plan manage.Making set up very long process.When open, the calendar is not current week.When adding staff important documents, document can't be open up to view to ease check up & input of expiry date.There are still some errors in scheduling repeat shifts.2 weeks bulk invoice is not good - should be 4 weeks.I thought I will safe alot of time when I use shift care, but it's still require alot of man power due to the lack of automation.

Amazing product - would recommend for NDIS and Aged Care providers
Easy use for staff. Staff can start and end their shift, put in any case notes and kms etc and it sends straight to accounts for payroll and billing.
CONSNothing to dislike about shift care, just wish my company found this app earlier!!

ShiftCare is an easy to use and intuitive process.
Overall, it is a great product. A short learning time with great support and the regular online educational session in Zoom meetings make that an easy process. Continued improvements as they listen to what we need.
PROSWhen we were setting up the desktop with ShiftCare, I was quite surprised at how easy and intuitive it was to get it set up. Took a bit of time but the bulk document upload option made it so much easier.
CONSIt gets a bit frustrating to need to 'refresh' the screen after changes being made in some of the screens..

They cancelled the product midway through our first contract year.

Very happy!
Very positive. I believe it will save us a lot of time as a team.
PROSThe scheduler and level of detail able to be added to ShiftCare for both clients and staff is fantastic. Love the price book too!
CONSWhen using on a volume scale, it becomes costly quickly. I'd also love to see a chat function integrated dow the track, to allow staff to communicate in team chats about clients etc.

Makes book work and scheduling easier
Scheduling is easier invoicing is great and it integrates well with other software such as xero.
PROSWhat I like most is keeping track of schedules to make it easier for staff to login. If there are shifts needed to be covered there's an option for staff to respond to and makes it easier then contacting staff individually. I especially like the note writing, at the end of shifts a lot easier for staff to write progress notes at the end of each shift allowing them to do before going home.
CONSSometimes, it doesn't allow change of addresses.

Good product for the money you spend, major drawbacks but overall good quality.
It's a hard start because it has so many elements to it but I think it'll be that way with any shift management app. I like that support is easy to contact and very responsive but it can be quite a pain and frustration dealing with all the issues that pop up sometimes. Worth the price and they're always developing new features which I like.
PROSShiftcare is quite easy to introduce to users, has a good pricing structure that makes it very reasonable unlike per client software, as well as generally being responsive. The people working it generally know the app very well and worst case the higher ups can get involved to problem solve which is quite good knowing the support to resolve issues is there, which I haven't experienced with bigger tech firms.
CONSReally niggly issues that shouldn't be an issue end up being a massive issue and taking a lot of admin time. Like pricing details not updating on newer shifts, invoicing issues (NDIA reject the smallest error and it's digging for a needle in a haystrack with Shiftcare so I invoice manually which takes a whole day). Some apps generate service agreements which is a huge drawback for this and adds so much admin time. The niggling issues are a nightmare some days, like adding users to Xero.

Great option for the mid tier organisations
Great platform that is user friendly and easy to integrate and train new staff.
PROSShiftcare helps to ensure the right staff to be allocated on time and to provide the highest quality service. The ability to read shift notes at the click of a button along with the Xero integration make invoicing and staff payments a breeze.
CONSThe transport kilometres being divided between participants living in a shared environment needs to be done manually when invoicing. Not a huge issue unless you have a large amount of SIL homes.

ShiftCare review from Employee/Support Worker Perspective
It’s been a fantastic resource for our support company, to streamline information about each shift and client details.
PROSShift care not only is a great rostering system with all your scheduled shifts clearly presented, but gives the employer the ability to add photos and documentation for each unique client, so that you have easy access to their important information at any time. I also really like that you can put in instructions for each shift, so my boss can communicate clearly if there are any routine changes, without having to text or email. It also comes up with the client’s home address and the notes will further outline where we need to pick them up from.
CONSThe notifications that say my “non-working day leave request” was declined when I never put in leave for that day - I just didn’t have a shift.

Great, makes my job easier. I can manage a multi location business without stress.
PROSShiftcare is a great software that does the overall management of rostering, progress noting, clocking in and out, staff timesheets and client billing and much more.
CONSAt times when you say for eg: archive a staff, it does not immediately do so, but it tends to refresh itself and update.

Performed well - affordable.
I would describe my overall experience as a win. My use of Shiftcare wasn't extensive, I do believe it was beneficial. The most important thing Shiftcare has to offer is a fair price. Ironically I would advise using a seperate billing solution or testing Shiftcares billing before making a decision. Problems solved: The need to manage all compontents of home health care. The need for affordability.
PROS- Affordable/fair price. - Trustworthy company. - Features/feature quality. Scheduling is excellent. Clock in/out is well documented. - Practical layout. - Learn to use in a reasonable amount of time. - Complaints are heard and addressed.
CONS- Billing feature is poor, causes time management to suffer. - Support experience not consistent. - Malfunctions -- minimally disruptive.

Its a great product that is easy to use and fantastic for communication and keeping up to date with what is going on with our clients.
