I love using it every time we move or when we’re flipping a home. It’s incredibly easy to use, but still detailed enough that I can add furniture, map out layouts, and really think through projects before making decisions. I spent a long time trying to find something that was simple without feeling limited, and RoomSketcher has been exactly that. It makes planning spaces fun and practical at the same time. The program is very approachable with very little learning curve involved. Added with the ease of scheduling 1:1 training call makes this program a home run! The customer support with access to 1:1 video training calls, the in program training videos. The 2D/3D modeling make it very easy to communicate with clients efficiently. Cons: The furniture options are very pedestrian. Also, adding a mood board option to the program would be an added benefit. Being able to use actual products for the mood board with color palettes is impactful for clients. If I could add the actual table or chair from Crate and Barrel to a mood board would be preferred. Reasons for switching to RoomSketcher Houzz doesn't offer any 1:1 support and the training videos they have are lacking a lot of information. The floorplans and 3D floorplans look great for our quotations. Altering floorplans is very easy. The low cost of membership and then pay-as-you-go model is a bonus for us. Cons: The external wall materials are limited as well as the graphics on the wall construction on 3D floorplans could be more detailed. I like that the walls snap to other items. I like being able to view the plan in 3D Cons: I would like it to handle more file types. Its a great value for your money and you don't have to be an architect or civil engineer to use it. Contractors and building inspecters love the images, which helps get your permits approved faster and provides your visuals to your contractors.
