No incentive was offered #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros Magicplan has come a long way over the years: most of the bugs and finnicky UI that plagued the app in its early days are gone, and keeping up with the advancements in mobile hardware, scanning rooms to create a floor plan is easier than ever. Using your phone's camera to scan rooms is very intuitive and works decently well even in rooms with a lot of furniture obscuring the walls and edges of the floor. In my experience accuracy has been quite solid, with typically only minor adjustments needed. Window and door detection are surprisingly reliable as well. Being able to generate a 3D model directly from the floor plan at any time is a wonderful tool for visualization, and being able to switch to a "wall view" allows you to easily plan out measurements for window coverings such as curtains and blinds. #### Cons The included object library contains a decent variety of pieces and fixtures, but it would still be nice to have more options. Magicplan is also only available through a subscription. --- ### Extremely easy to use and very professional - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Heiko W. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Real Estate - Company size: Self-Employed - Product usage: Used weekly for less than 6 months - Reviewed: May 2026 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically. No incentive was offered Saved me a lot of money. Instead of having to pay an architect to produce not existing floor plans for handing to a financing bank, I can now do them myself within minutes per flat. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros It's easy to use and works extremely well. Even in low lighted areas with a little help of a small flashlight it works great and detects the corners neatly. #### Cons If it was possible to use other brands of 360 cameras the experience would be even better. A little costly for privat investors, but not as expensive as an architect. More objects to choose from would be sweet and combining different floor levels would be helpful --- ### Review - Overall rating: 2/5 - Reviewer: Gabriel B. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: International Trade and Development - Company size: 201-500 employees - Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years - Reviewed: June 2023 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by the software vendor to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. Customers love it when you produce it to them. #### Cons The hardest part of the software is when you are scanning, it doesn’t pick up corners that have items in place. For Example when scanning a room of floor and the furniture is present. I find you have to move the furniture in order to get the right measurements. --- Showing 1 - 10 of 12 Reviews Load More Reviews ## Other Top Recommended Subcontractor Software [Houzz Pro](https://www.softwareadvice.com/construction/houzz-pro-profile/) **4.3** (1088) Recently recommended **468** times [Autodesk Forma](https://www.softwareadvice.com/construction/autodesk-construction-cloud-profile/) **4.3** (2212) Recently recommended **391** times [Procore](https://www.softwareadvice.com/construction/procore-profile/) **4.5** (2677) Recently recommended **252** times [Smartsheet](https://www.softwareadvice.com/project-management/smartsheet-profile/) **4.5** (3557) Recently recommended **251** times Stuck Between Options?
