Anytime Platform is an application development solution for organizations that are looking to integrate applications, data sources and devices using application programming interfaces (API). The solution is suitable for industries such as financial services, government, health care, higher education, insurance, telecom and retail.

The Anytime Connector module enables developers to connect software with different applications using pre-built interfaces. Development teams can integrate different applications and define process flows using the visual-mapping feature. The platform also enables users to map and transform data using joins, pivots and filters.

Anytime Platform is suitable for organizations that need to address end-to-end integration issues and are looking for a solution that combines application management, application connection and data management.

The platform consists of REST and SOAP APIs for applications such as Salesforce, Slack, Workday, Microsoft SharePoint, NetSuite and SAP.

We tried this first when we were in app development. We figured out most of the features right off. We definitely needed something that was drag and drop.

Cons

In the end, we decided it wasn't cost effective for us to develop our own app and we had to outsource it. No complaints, just too time consuming for us.

Pros

The ease of getting basic flow's up and running and how quickly you can get solutions to integration requirements solved. Anypoint platform, Exchange, Cloud Hub and the online collaboration components are all fantastic additions to the solution.
Very easy for development because of the drag and drop interface, with many connectors ready to go with simple configuration and settings to get a quick connection to a system and also understand, with a lot of documentation available for the same online.

Cons

It behaves weird at times. A full understanding of the tool is not an easy job as you have so many functionalities embedded
Anypoint Studio is Eclipse based: on some old machine and operating system (linux distros) this could be a pain.

Pros

The freedom and options to connect any system / component using the Anypoint Platform. Can connect flat files and expose them as a Web Service! The system doing a "GET" using web service will never know what kind of language / platform they're dealing with. It's a consistent look and feel of REST and SOAP.

Cons

Design tools are in Eclipse and require a slight learning curve if you are new to the environment. Because portions of the product are open sourced, updates require careful regression testing.

What I like most is how easy it is to deploy a project using the easy drag and drop feature. This ensures that much is done in less time.
Another thing is the flexibility and support for python, JS, Scala, etc.

Lastly, their support is very helpful whenever called upon.

Cons

Anypoint Platform is not cheap at all. It's far more expensive than competing solutions.
Secondly, it requires a learning curve to master.

This will connect anything to anything it seems. They are are so many built in data connectors and ways to move data the possibilities seem endless. and if you run into something that does not exist it is not too hard to create your own connector using a variety of technologies. We have been able to connect some of our medieval legacy systems to the modern cloud components facilitating a modernization of workflows without a total scratch and expensive rebuild of the incumbent systems. The tools are spot on and easy to work with and they have excellent training available for those that will be using the system.

Cons

It has so many options available that it can be overwhelming to the beginner. Once you get the hang of it though this is easily put into check.

The validations for the APIs before they're built is nice, and the drag and drop for building and debugging makes it so people who aren't experienced can get a general idea of whats happening.

Cons

The 2 hour SLA was not available to everyone like they said, just the platinum customers.

If you don’t have an engineering team, this is the way to go on doing ETL. It’s a little bit of the learning curve in the beginning but I think it’s worthwhile.

Cons

It’s so expensive but I guess you’re paying for the ease of use from the product.

My company uses this platform to maintain some integration services and to publish these to other companies.

Pros

It's a fantastic tool to create APIs or microservices really quickly if you have the rest of your services in the cloud. For example, you have the possibility to create some microservices to connect your Salesforce platform with your Office platform or your ERP.
It implements a fantastic and simple user interface to help you in the process.
His knowledge base and his blog with the examples that you can find in these are really fantastic.

Cons

At this time my only cons are to move the MuleSoft on-premises processes to the CloudHub because these requires some adaptations to run in Anypoint Platform.

The user interface is very friendly, very complete this integration tool with all the options for setting up the raml, creation, exhibition  and configuration of the API in addition to the part of statistics analysis incredibly useful for making business decisions.

Cons

Not all options are intuitive and it is a little uncomfortable to expose the API on the one hand and configure it on the other, it would be better if everything were available in a single section.

Standardizing the application runtime and APIs enables easy to use integrations to be developed rapidly and with minimal domain expertise

Cons

Not as agnostic (e.g. hard JVM dependency) or extensible (e.g. Node.js or Python application integration) as I would like, making it hard to use it for all of our ecosystem. We oftentimes end up only fully taking advantage of the API Gateway and RAML parts.

Pros

API Manager - Helps in managing the APIs right from applying in-built policies to creating custom policies. Create proxy on top of your applications seamlessly. In-built load balancer as well as customization option.
VPC- Able to create a private network of your applications and allows limited access to some of the applications
Runtime Manager - Deploy your applications either on-premise or on cloud. You have option to choose your own environment.
Anypoint MQ- Enterprise feature messaging system.
Anypoint Studio - Eclipse based IDE where you can design the flows, debug, run them, create unit test cases and also use mocking feature.
Anypoint Exchange - It helps sharing your API contracts ( WSDLs, RAML ), APIs, etc easier.
Anypoint Connectors - Many in built connectors which help connecting to many systems like SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Twitter, AWS, Mainframe, etc. There is a provision to create custom connector too.
It is Java based so we can leverage all the reusable libraries Java has to offer.

Cons

Pricing is not very good.
Need more features in API manager like payload limiting, debugging is weak, etc.

This was the reason we could do what we did with real AI, machine learning, and hyper connected api's.

Pros

The ESB is the centerpiece of our learning ecosystem. While not having a front end interface and requiring programming (API work), it's been a tremendous efficiency tool for us. If only we used it better!

Cons

It's pretty pricey and the service around it is also costly as that is the main upcharge for businesses who don't have a lot of programmers, etc.

I love Dataweave , because I am from B2B Integration background where Mapping plays a major role and a most time consuming part of the integration. Dataweave provides a great power and there are endless option to achieve complex requirement easily as well as quickly comparable to traditional mapping utilities. I believe, due to this it is going to takeover as future B2B/EDI Integration.

Cons

Although the drag and drop interfaces in Anypoint Studio have improved the overall experience, it still has a few issues that causes crashes or unexpected results in the IDE. You to have to reset the perspective or restart Anypoint Studio sometimes.

I think this is a great piece of kit because of how intuitive the software is. Completing and editing integration is made visually easy.

Cons

The online training is all over the place since the upgrade. The paper documentation and video classes do not sync up with the homework and this makes it very frustrating.

Provides a mock service automatically

Cons

Many bugs in the editor - showing errors where there are none, showing errors on the wrong lines.
Versioning done wrong - no way to keep API definitions in a proper SCM like Git
Sharing not enabled properly in our organisation - not sure why but was told it was due to a "limitation"
I wasted 2 full days doing training that was dull, slow, factually incorrect and we had to help the trainer spot his own mistakes

API Manager is a component of Anypoint Platform for managing and publishing APIs.
