Fantastic product, it's my go to CRM. The best feature is the history I'm able to keep for each contact. Very detailed options and it allows me to accurately track my correspondence.

Cons

Some features offer maybe too much detail or customization, and can make completing tasks within the CRM a tad tedious, which is not good when working in Sales.

for my personal use, it is an excellent system for tracking prospects and obtaining the sales potential of each client. It helps me to know the needs of each aspect and be able to anticipate to cover those needs

Pros

It is easy to manage and with tutorial support very easy to follow, supports the user, to program and make sales budgets, based on scheduled follow-ups with each client and by products.

Cons

I do not see any flaw, maybe for some users, the way to graph is a bit old-fashioned, a point that maybe would help, from my optics, make report adjustable to the need of each user.

The best thing about this software is that it truly is so easy to navigate through and make it your own without depending on someone else to do it. If you take the time to learn what it can do you can easily learn how to change the layouts and truly make it unbelievable for your entire office.

Cons

It can be difficult to learn to maneuver and it can become slow if your business grows too fast but if you set it up right this can be easily corrected.

It worked decently before I upgraded to Windows 10 (which killed it). I could leave notes on each contact, do mail merge, use a calendar, all the basic stuff. Not much extra bells and whistles if you want to run a team off it.

Cons

It no longer works at all because its an old program. When I tried to upgrade to the newest version, it turns out that there was no upgrade path at all and the new program had nothing in common with the old program; so why bother?

ACT has been a good stable program for years and I have sued it for over 20 year. The upgrades are simple and keeps everything current.

Pros

Very functional and easy to use. This works great for a small business and helps to organize the contact and the information's. Additional functions for group and assigning roles and responsibility makes it easy to track proposals

Cons

Customer service could use some improvements for sure. He email goes through outlook which is often slow but you can work with it.

I loved this product for so long and it still has some legs to it. That being said, it is not keeping up with the modern changes.

Cons

Speed maters and the back end of this application does not appear to be upgraded in a long time. Salesforce is the leader in this product space. I really like ACT! but it is struggling to keep up.

Prior versions have been around since the stone age and the interface is familiar to us oldtimers. It has far more features than the average user will probably need.

Cons

It runs slow and will crash unexpectedly, deleting contact records in the process - I lost over 1000 contacts this way!

not my first option when it comes to CRMs, it may fall short when the business requires integration of Lead campaigns with traditional sales blitz and also optimize/automate internal sales process and flow.

Pros

Integration with MS Office, flexibility and scalability based on the size of the business and need of the organization, desktop version in addition to the web-based version (thus allowing flexibility for the organization), API availability.

Cons

price is in the premium range, mostly driven for sales and contact management but falls short when it comes to process automation and customer service options. Support can be an issue.

Worst CRM Program - fails to integrate as promised.

Tech support is transferred out of the US and customer care is useless. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM OR SERVICE. THEY WILL NOT REFUND ANY MONIES PAID. WILL BE INQUIRING ABOUT TAKING LEGAL ACTION FOR DAMAGES OF LOSS OF TIME AND DEALS.

Pros

Prior versions of ACT integrated well with Outlook. The newest version on the surface appears to work but does not.

Cons

ACT upgrades its web services and does not notify its user until after you are no longer able to sync. Upgrade no longer syncs properly and reinserts cleared activities repeatedly each time so if you sync 5 times you will have 5 of the same activity.

Almost entirely flawless, Act! Premium is a sound investment that is a must for any business that works with large groups of clients. The organization Act! provides makes life so much easier.

Pros

The company I worked at previously used Act! to maintain data on all of our clients. It keeps track of everything, from names and emails to previous communications and future prospects (as you record them). It's so much easier than creating and maintaining paper records, which can easily become lost. With its syncing capabilities, Act! can be accessed from any of your computers, which came in handy during the odd weekend work emergency came up.

Cons

The 4 GB cloud limit on Act! Premium was less than I would have liked, but we dealt with it.

Act! is definitely an easy way to keep and organize all of my contacts. I've had a positive experience with customer service as well.

Pros

I use Act! as a database for my publicity and influencer contacts. It allows me to make various lists that I can download and use offline.

Cons

It is difficult to update large batches of contacts without starting over again or updating contact by contact. I wish that I could eliminate fields that I won't use. Searching has to be precise.

Easy to use - feels familiar even on first use and isn't hard to get started.

Cons

Cumbersome and slow. Once you start getting thousands of contacts in the system get use to watching the hourglass. Server needs to be restarted weekly. Their cloud based solution is lacking in features and not as mobile friendly as other options.

Pretty good. The only reason I left after many many years of use is for a solid cloud based solution.

Pros

Very easy to customize. There are a few vendors that overlay on top of the database as well. This allows specialty fields to have added features.

Cons

Online version is not as robust as the desktop version or other cloud based solutions. If you want a desktop database ACT! Is the one I would choose.

We used Act in small business environments for a long time, but now it is so important for a CRM to include communication tools and interact with other applications. Act does not make this simple at all, and for the price you would think they would or at least offer okay support.

Pros

As far as CRM's go, it is does make it easy to track customer/employee information and allows the data to be easily retrievable.

Cons

It is expensive and considering it does not support features that comes standard with many other CRM's you would think it would at least have usable integration functions/options that would work with 3rd party apps/services that can do what you need.

Used Act! In my day-to-day work but it was apparently a stone age product in a dead-end development.

Pros

Once the user has understood the quirks about Act! it is possible to do fast work with it. With the lack of customising the cheap prize tag remains as the biggest virtue.

Cons

It is old-fashioned, thick client based, non-customisable, and it doesn't look to sleek, either.

Allows our salesperson to keep detailed notes on phone calls and customers of over 20 years. She loves using the software and relies on it every day. She has never lost any of her data in all of the years of upgrades.

Pros

My user had an older version of ACT! that she had been using on her laptop that was not compatible with the latest version. The support team was able to take a back up of her database and upgrade it to the current version free of charge and without any hassle. Happy User=Happy IT support team.

Cons

Hard pressed to find anything that I didn't like about the software. It has been a trusted application by one of our top salespeople since the early 90's. She has maintained her database of clients and partners through several upgrades and has always been satisfied.

I have been using ACT for over 20 years and have looked at other sales platforms, but ACT has the features and functionality that work for our company.

We like that it is a good platform that is relatively easy to use for our sales program.

Cons

There is some glitchy-ness in the cloud based version on various browsers that doesn't allow us to use templates from all browsers and was difficult to edit and customize templates (e.g. proposals, letters).

Being a user of ACT for decades, I keep notes in my database to refer to later. If someone orders something from me years later, yup, I have their information. It's nice when I can ask how old their kids are now or if they still have the pontoon boat.

Pros

People think I remember lots of things, but I just put detailed notes in ACT and retrieve them when necessary.

Cons

Bugginess with Windows 10. I have never had so many tech support calls and need to upgrade my software since Windows 10 came in the picture! SQL Server issues, incompatibility with other software (fixed with tech support). I spent hours one day with tech support, another 3 hours another day and just decided to upgrade because they assured me that the new upgrade would fix my issues. So far, so good.

I am able to find information at my fingertips when I have questions about their system. Makes my phone calls a lot quicker. I don't have to put people on hold or call them back.

Pros

This software has everything we need about the installation and history of the customer.

Cons

I wish there was a way to integrate the install side to service side. It is a major pain when you are in one side and you get a phone call and you have to jump out of what you were doing to go to the other side . Plus most of the time once a system is installed they become a regular customer and you have to move all that information over to the service side. But other than that it is a great product.
