Bomgar is a cloud-based or on-premise secure access and remote support solution suitable for businesses of all sizes. It offers remote support, privileged access and vault modules within a suite. Key features include customer support, help desk administration, internal IT support, collaboration, monitoring and auditing.

The privileged access module allows users to create accounts and monitor and record sessions in real time. Users can set up a secure remote connection to view and control remote desktops, network devices and servers. Other features include session forensics for compliance, cloud infrastructure management, authorization, notifications and credentials management.

The vault module is an enterprise password manager that enables users to store passwords, find privileged credentials and share admin passwords. Bomgar offers integrations with HP ArcSight, Lieberman Software, ServiceNow, Splunk and more.

It is available for purchase with a monthly subscription. Support is offered via live chat, phone, online guides, video tutorials and emails.

Bomgar is a very good software, it has too many excellent and lucrative functions that complement very well the long distance remote connection, the only factor that affects are the prices but I trust that at some point the plans for a better accessibility will decrease. Bomgar has helped me a lot in business, since I can connect with my employees to provide support and other things.

Pros

The best thing about Bomgar is the speed of its connection, it can be anywhere in the world, in any country, and in the same way, provide a support with a fast connection and without connection drops, the stability in this software is the factor that has given you the most life.

Cons

I do not like that Bomgar has high prices, since the intention of this software is to help connect from any place or device and give distant support, but the prices of the plans do not allow accessibility, if the mission is help, I would like lower the prices so high.

Product is pricey for the small to mid size shop, the need to touch each device for installation takes a lot of coordination for remote users

I use this when our helpdesk needs to access my computer remotely. They can install and manipulate anything on my computer from bomgar. I don't even have to be connected to the vpn to get access for help.

Pros

The IT tech team can access my computer from anywhere.

I liked the fact that Bomgar has a chat function, and it is also possible to share the screen with other users who are logged in. Failure troubleshooting is fast enough.

Cons

The inability to upload videos and files makes me upset. The quality of the connection depends on the speed of the Internet. At first it took a lot of resources to study the program.

We are a small oil and gas inspection company, tied to a large public company. Our IT support group is in another country. When I have problems with my phone, it is a disaster because I need to be in touch with my inspectors. Bomgar lets me get the phone fixed quickly!

Pros

It makes our remote assistance from IT group in another country quick and easy on our phones.

I prefer bomgar over just about any other software for remote support services when it comes to a business aspect.

Pros

The multiple options to connect to someone, such as being able to send an email with the link to connect with. Also like how easy the file transfer option is.

Cons

Not sure if this common or not, but updating the software can be a bit annoying at times when admin accounts are required on the computer.

I personally do not use the application too often, but sometimes it is simply irreplaceable. For example, when there is a need to evaluate the productivity of employees. Very accessible and intuitive interface, pleasant and convenient to work.

Cons

Somewhat cumbersome reporting system. Reports are made in such a way that it’s not so easy to get to the necessary information. The rest is a worthy application. I recommend to install.

Overall this has been a great tool and allows you to have IT help at your fingertips as if you had someone sitting right next to you.

Pros

Bomgar allows our IT department to remote into our workstations and address computer issues. It's very user friendly! Once opening the program our IT tech will provide a session key number which you enter and allows them to remote in and take over. I'm generally on the phone with IT while they are accessing my system, but there is also a chat feature that allows you to communicate with whoever is remoting in. Both users can utilize the mouse or keyboard, so I can show them exactly what I clicked on or what error message I am encountering. It has saved so much time as our IT team is relatively small, and an inability to access programs or have a functioning computer can easily impact patient care. I don't have to wait hours for a ticket number to get assigned to a person who has to triage me along with tons of other people. You can also get a transcript of your chat after you have closed the session. There's an icon that will appear on the top right hand corner of your screen to let you know you are connected and someone else has access, and it's easy to know that the session has ended because the icon disappears and there's a notification that you have logged out.

Cons

I have no problems with this software! I have never had trouble with it loading, and each time I've had to use it it has booted up quickly without error, runs smoothly while someone else is accessing my computer, and is incredibly easy to navigate and use.

This is an amazing product that lets you connect remotely to someone else's PC. As I work in IT, this is perfect for when I get a phone call asking for help and instead of trying to explain on the phone what that person needs to do, I can just connect to their PC and fix the problem straight away.

This software makes troubleshooting end user's issues more efficient with a secure and reliable connection because it greatly reduces the need for a tech to have to visit the work station. When there is 500+ end users this is an extremely valuable software to use.

Cons

Communicating to the end users who are new to using this software on how to get the portal via URL and downloading the session can be confusing. Other than that, It is good software to use when troubleshooting.
