Bomgar is a cloud-based or on-premise secure access and remote support solution suitable for businesses of all sizes. It offers remote support, privileged access and vault modules within a suite. Key features include customer support, help desk administration, internal IT support, collaboration, monitoring and auditing.

The privileged access module allows users to create accounts and monitor and record sessions in real time. Users can set up a secure remote connection to view and control remote desktops, network devices and servers. Other features include session forensics for compliance, cloud infrastructure management, authorization, notifications and credentials management.

The vault module is an enterprise password manager that enables users to store passwords, find privileged credentials and share admin passwords. Bomgar offers integrations with HP ArcSight, Lieberman Software, ServiceNow, Splunk and more.

It is available for purchase with a monthly subscription. Support is offered via live chat, phone, online guides, video tutorials and emails.

Cons

In my opinion, the system is very good. It fully meets our requirements and works very well. I believe that the manufacturer can only improve licensing models

Bomgar is a very good software, it has too many excellent and lucrative functions that complement very well the long distance remote connection, the only factor that affects are the prices but I trust that at some point the plans for a better accessibility will decrease. Bomgar has helped me a lot in business, since I can connect with my employees to provide support and other things.

Pros

The best thing about Bomgar is the speed of its connection, it can be anywhere in the world, in any country, and in the same way, provide a support with a fast connection and without connection drops, the stability in this software is the factor that has given you the most life.

Cons

I do not like that Bomgar has high prices, since the intention of this software is to help connect from any place or device and give distant support, but the prices of the plans do not allow accessibility, if the mission is help, I would like lower the prices so high.

Pros

It allows use to handle remote access and do it without troubling the user, it allows us not to require knowledge of the user password

Cons

Product is pricey for the small to mid size shop, the need to touch each device for installation takes a lot of coordination for remote users

Remote support helpdesk for remote sites nation-wide.

Pros

We use the hosted bomgar box. It was very easy to setup and deploy vs other options we had tried. Works well for pre-configured 'jump' clients, or just one-off remote sessions from anywhere. It also works well for sites where don't have control over firewalls/configs etc. Also has presentation mode (i.e. you can demo or have a meeting with it), so quite flexible for a software developer like ourselves.

Cons

It is a little bit expensive vs the competition (although not really *that* much more).

With so much IT staff in our company and so many people working on sidelines. The employees never have problem in their box, if it does they just report and it gets solved. Also the customers find it very helpful for them.

Pros

We can get in touch with any customer who needs our help and we give the permissions to our employees accordingly. The customers report their issues and we resolve the issues. The user always knows when his PC is under control and when it is not with the icon displayed in their box. It has improved the resolution time and we are called more accountable due to this.

Cons

We get some issue when there are multiple windows and sessions. Also there should be more type of price tags.

Its compatibility with mac, andriod, windows, iphones, Mac, Linux (all crucial to our business), and Bomgar does it!

Cons

There is nothing I can think of in regards to what was like the "least"
Troubleshooting and customer service (when needed) can be lengthy, but that is to be expected.

We've saved a lot of time using this software as opposed to requesting screenshots from our students and having them email those in. Being able to have a quick, live session where we can see what the student is doing has made our lives much easier.

Pros

The feature set and ease of use were what I liked most about this product. It has been a tremendous help in troubleshooting technical issues that our students are running into while using the various registration systems at our institution.

Cons

Not much not to like. Once a user is familiar with the interface, everything is pretty straight forward.

When I have issues with my computer, IT asks to give them permission to go through my computer and this is what they us. It's very easy and it doesn't feel invasive. It literally only asks one question, and they have access.

Cons

It does feel a little invasive and it's a little worrisome that it only takes a few simple clicks to give someone else access.

I like that My It department is able to connect to my computer remotely using Bomgar when my skype is down or there are other technical issues that prohibit from them linking

I have used it to "see' our clients' screens. It works pretty well, but sometimes it times out. Overall, I think it works well to see into other servers/computers.

Pros

I like almost everything. It is easy to "Bomgar" into client computers and see what is going on.

Cons

It takes a while to get used to the different buttons and what they actually do. The sidebar on the right gets a little busy with all the people logged in.
