Workday is a cloud-based enterprise resource management (ERP) suite suitable for global businesses of all sizes in a variety of industry verticals. Workday delivers user and administrative tools across financials, HR, planning, talent, payroll, analytics, student and more from a single system.

Workday’s financial management solutions include accounting and finance, revenue management, reporting and analytics, consolidate and close, , revenue management, accounting center, financial planning, expenses, procurement, project accounting, . Audit tools, inventory management and grants management are also included. The Prism Analytics module allows users to upload data from other software solutions to create consolidated reports.

The human capital management applications offer human resource management, workforce planning, recruiting, talent management, compensation and benefits, payroll, time and attendance, learning and more. Workday also offers a module for educational institutions that includes recruiting and admissions, curriculum management, records, advising and financial aid tracking.

Pricing is per month. Support is offered via email and through an online help desk.

Workday is a great HR tool. You have payroll, time off requests, team info, direct deposit management, benefits, tax elections and more all in one place!

Cons

The only major con for my team is that my leader and I don’t have the same visibility into our team members time off requests, which makes colloborating on the schedule slightly inconvenient.

Five stars to this software for it's engaging, easy to navigate and user friendly interface. All the information that you need already accessible in just a few clicks away. And the best thing is that they also have a mobile version for our convenience.

Pros

I've been using workday in the office for quite some time now and I love how their software looks. You can upload your photo and customize your name. It is a software that usually deals with your information and HR concerns. The software is also helpful in looking for jobs requisition within the company, it can also help you check some employee profile, send messages across the management, check your benefits and it also shows your work history. it is an easy to use platform inside and outside the four corners of the office.

Cons

I have nothing bad to say but then the software resets easily. It is better if they'll just remove it because it is time consuming and a bit annoying if they'll log you out and you have to sign in again. It is time consuming to do those simple tasks again instead of continuously picking up what work you've left of.

It's functional, but not overtly so. Seems to take a fair amount of work to get even the simplest of tasks done.

Pros

The UI is pleasant, and seemingly intuitive.

Cons

Ours just must be configured poorly, because functions you expect to be mapped under certain categories aren't there and you have to hunt for them. Routing is poor, and site directors don't have access to their indirect reports...all of these things could be administratively corrected perhaps, but perhaps not.

Workday benefits has made the benefit election process much more seamless, and there is much less back and forth between employees and the Benefits/HR team because there is a lot of self-service available to the employees.

Pros

From an Benefit perspective, this is the best tool I have used. I can easily see the benefits I have opted in for, and see when I can change them and what my options to change them to are. I am not "benefit savvy" in any way and this really lays out the options for me seamlessly.

Cons

So far, I have no real cons. A nice added benefit would be if our elected benefits had a link that brought us to our providers sight, but that is also not a huge deal.

The whole eco-system was great but I really liked the ability to incorporate feedback (from multiple stakeholders) into the reviews process as desired.

Cons

Certain inter-dependencies at times made it difficult to leverage all features - for example you need to implement WD- Recruiting to leverage certain functionality about internal posting, etc. Also, the timing of the upgrades can be challenging but I dont see a way around that since all users are on the same instance/version of the product. Really though they its a great product that is listening to its customers.

The software is easy to use, very modern, no second guessing where to go to enter and view anything. It's very convenient to be able to view, save as PDF or email paycheck slips to myself from within the software and their app is just as modern and user friendly. Even the PDF's download very quickly on my mobile!

Pros

Easy to understand and navigate, paycheck slips are easily divided out and labeled clearly and efficiently, love that I can email them to myself and save as PDFs and that I can log in and make changes anytime and they are saved immediately

Cons

At first the paycheck slips were very difficult to read. There is a lot of information on them and the way they are divided out was a bit overwhelming to understand. However, now that I understand the info on them they are getting easier to read but I would still like to see a cleaner look

Payroll and benefits for Workday are awesome. Really makes life easier than previous platforms I've worked in.

Cons

They're trying too hard to fit things that don't fit. Like many products it seems like they want to be a single source end all be all platform. They did a great job on payroll and benefits but aren't doing as great in other HR/accounting platforms because they're squeezing them into something it wasn't made for. They seem to constantly improve but it would be better if they did the additional features right, as they did with earlier features, or not at all.
