Pros

My team used Clickup as a project management tool for instructional designers creating new online courses. The interface and collaboration tools were incredibly intuitive and relatively powerful. It provided an excellent structure to track complex projects, and for bringing in teams of people to work on such projects. Support has been incredibly responsive and eager to implement our suggestions.

Cons

Clickup is still in early development as I write this, so a number of features that would take this product to the next level are currently missing, such as integration with a scrum/Agile model. New tools seem to be coming, but at the moment the product is still in very early stages.

Pros

You can assign tasks to your team members and you can install it in your mobile phones. You can get notifications from your mobile and being able to make comments upon each task. You can invite unlimited team members during trial which does not expire. Its not that expensive compared to other competitors. It has sub-tasks, and you can let others in the team be assigned as watchers too.

Cons

Its a little complex to start with compared to others but youll get the hang of it in no time. Im looking for something like a "wall" feature like facebook wall. There is no "Me" functionality in the mobile app where you can see immediately tasks that are assigned to you. unlike the desktop version. You need to go to notifications to see updates/comments.

ClickUp provides a new way to combine project and productivity management

Ease-of-use

Value for Money

ClickUp is a great concept for a new kind of project management tool and has a very responsive team. While they are not yet able to compete with the major players in project management, they have an aggressive development plan with weekly feature releases and a public roadmap. Keep an eye on this tool!

Pros

In addition to the basic expectations for a project management tool, ClickUp offers customizable workflows, comment assignment (turning conversation action items into tasks!), and native time tracking.

Cons

ClickUp is very new. While they have excellent plans to improve where other project management tools fall short, especially in the area of productivity management, most of these are yet to be released. In particular, ClickUp cannot currently generate reports, communication is limited to the task or subtask level, and integrations (Zapier, G Suite, etc.) is still in the future.

We loved clickup, but didn't go with it ultimately because we got a discount to continue using the system we currently use.

Pros

Everything It's easy to navigate around in. The design is clear and concise. I love how everything can be customized. (including the activities/tasks). The pricing options were very finance friendly as well.

Cons

Our team used this on a trial - and there wasn't anything we didn't like. Tough to think of something we didn't like. I don't understand how this product isn't more mainstream.

That was a great solution for our business as we didn't need any special knowledge to manage really great task management software. It was complicated to scale it to bigger business thoung due to variety of team demands.

Pros

We used this software for more than a year until our corporate standards forced us to move to JIRA.
What I like the most about ClickUp is its lightweight UI design. We were team of 50 and there was about 20+ junior members there. With ClickUp delegation was really easy as I was able to create tasks in format sufficient for particular team meembers. In particular, while checklists worked just fine for junior team members, more abstract tasks created by peredefined templates worked good for senior members, who wanted more creativity freedom.

Cons

Migration from and to JIRA was really challenging.
We needed to involve consierable engineering effortto leverage their API to export the data in sufficient format.
Also when I needed to collect some KPIs such as work balance between planning and implementation tasks, that turned out to be really tricky as to get time spent on tasks statistics.

If you have worked with asana, you will realize that has the same features and some more, like any time switch from lists to boards, customized tasks status, easier visualizations of projects, and constant implementations of new features, almost every week there is a new feature and it is almost 50% of asana's price. Free forever if you don't need to attach more than 100 MB

Cons

it takes some time to get used to the interface, not that easy to understand how to find projects , how to switch between spaces. The concept of spaces is very useful, but you need to play around a bit to fully feel comfortable

It has been a great experience and we are using clickup as our primary project management tool. the pricing works great for us and all our future users would be grandfathered into the plan.

Pros

Clickup allows you to switch between list and board view which is awesome. There are a huge number of integrations available and also the pricing is very competitive. It also has a time tracking app built it which can be used through a chrome extension

Cons

There is no timeline view and you cant use clickup for running sprints. Also, the desktop app only works when you are offline, it would have ben great to have an offline first app. the app does not allow you to have guest users or clients.

Took a few days to get my head around how best to use their fancy hierarchy - but once I realised it's just a way to group tasks into groups so you can work on what needs to get done for a particular project, and then use the 'view all' feature combined with the 'me' option to see all tasks assigned to me across every project & list - in board or list or calendar view, sorted however I wanted (by date or priority) - THEN I fell in love with ClickUp.

Pros

Their Workspace > Project > List > Task > Subtask / Multiple Checklist hierarchy stands out as a killer feature - yes it'll take a second to get your head around, but once you get it you won't go back. Eg. I use spaces to separate things that won't mix (ie I won't be assigning tasks to people outside the space, eg. Personal task management space vs work space - managers also have their own 'head office' space).

Sub tasks are not second class citizens.... they are treated as regular tasks - so support all available features such as task assignment, start and end dates, estimated time, priority etc...

CUSTOM Task status' - anything from simple 'open > completed' to 'open > researching > in progress > stuck > for review > complete' - make your own and colour code!

Views for everyone's personal taste - list view, board view, or celendar/time view - something for personal preference, or suitability towards the project at hand.

Version control on task descriptions! No more regrets when co-workers accidentally edit/remove important content.

Watch status - for when managers need to keep an eye on tasks they've assigned or are interested in getting updates on.

Box view is a great way for managers to get a quick overview of who's got how many tasks of each status - eg... who has the most in progress, who has the most stuck, who has the most unstarted tasks etc...

Flexible and in depth notification settings for all kinds of events.

Web, Mobile& Desktop apps.

Public Roadmap!

Cons

No Board View for Subtasks within parent task main window.
No Dark Mode in iOS app.

Clickup has been great, it basically does everything you need and is free. Some PM softwares costs high so ClickUp is great for new and smaller businesses like me.

Pros

I like how it has recurring tasks. That tends to be a differentiator for some reason, even though it seems like . it would be easy to program. Clickup is also organized is such a fluid way that is just plain old works better than a lot of other software that as high fees. Clickup is free and if you really need all the integrations.

Cons

It doesn't have gantt charts, no special limited access for clients, nd can't be used to make invoices.a

I like that all of the conversations relating to a project can be found in one place. This way everyone on the team can see exactly what is going on at any point. There's no more confusion about who is doing what or what is happening because it can be found in one place.

Cons

Despite the brief tutorial they give you in the beginning, and maybe it's just my lack of experience with ClickUp, but I found trying to use all of the features in the beginning a little bit confusing. Although, I do believe the features, such as assigning tasks, are very useful.

We started by trying to gain visibility and trackability on a vendor-led project and spread to project management. We are tracking issues, managing projects and providing extended enterprise communication with disparate entities and geographic locations via clickup.

Pros

Ability to quickly deploy and get a good result: 1 week to deploy, 1 week to rollout to project team, 1 week to start seeing results. 4 weeks in I, as the customer, now have visibility into what the vendor is doing/not doing on the vendor led project that affects 12 separate locations. I am able to set KPI for the vendor to work by. The visibility and trackability provided the ability to hold the vendor accountable for results, provide a means of communicating out to the stakeholders what is happening on the project as well as a means for receiving feedback from non-tech customers. Customers are able to quickly pick up the issue tracking implemented and run with it. We love the ability to see all comments/conversations on tasks using the "bell" or notifications icon that shows all the conversations for all tasks in one location. Priceless feature. The customer service is outstanding...they caught an error, fixed it and notified me before I even discovered the error had occurred. Who does that?

Cons

The way is is right now makes it hard to complain. It exceeded my expectation after heavy use and now we are working to move from the free version to integrate the paid version into our project. It is a newer tool so there are features that would be nice to have, more integrations, etc.

Very positive. Clickup is fast & reliable, with a a growing feature-set and help is good when & if required.

Pros

Well featured project management system & good value.
I love that ClickUp is available on almost all platforms - I use it on Web, Mac & iOS. Changes made in one place sync to all other platforms immediately.
The platform is updated most weeks, therefore, the feature-set is growing fast.

Cons

There is no concept of a 'customer', therefore it is difficult to sync properly with CRM &/or Accounts systems. This means invoicing is completely separated from job management.

ClickUp is the best way to manage daily tasks! You are able to assign tasks to other people, or yourself. Within the tasks, there a multiple features that allow you to organize/customize the task, and provide as much information as possible. You are able to assign people, and track the task to completion. You are able to change how you view your board; either as a list, a board, or a calendar of dates when tasks are due. You can create different projects that team members can have access too, and see all the work that is being done.

Cons

It can be a little confusing to navigate at first. But, once you become familiar with ClickUp, you will be able to increase your productivity immensely!

Truly clear interface with an amazing useful hierarchy. I finally can control and handle all I have to do with work.

Pros

That they divide the space really clear. Inside each team, we found projects, then lists, tasks, subtasks, and to-do. I couldn't ask for more, that was what I was looking for. That is for me the main Pro it has.

The second one is that is free for almost everything, so you won't notice you are not using the paid version.

Third, the customer service is the best I've ever talked to. Really clear, focused, helpful and kind.

Cons

The only thing I can say, is that the android app is not the best I've used, but it works perfectly good, is just is not a top designed 110% functions app, but I'm really confident that that will improve soon.

Keeps my projects and tasks organized.

Pros

This program was written with the user in mind. I have begged other packages (that have great functionality) to give us a dashboard that's "at-a-glance" usable. They never listened. ClickUP gave me 3-and they are totally customizable. I know at a single glance what's happening inside all of my client projects. Plus, they have an ongoing feature request and suggestion site, where features get voted up and actually implemented (within reason). The fact that they are so passionate about this product and are continuously making it better. I'm like a little kid at Christmas when I get an feature update email. There's always something new. It always gives me new ideas and new ways to organize my information. No other platform comes close.

Cons

Probably that not enough people know about it. I wish they'd do more marketing to get the word out. I want more people, including my vendors and subcontractors to use it so I can bring them into my teams on project so they can take advantage of the rich notifications. (I am not trying to micromanage them, I swear!

ClickUp combines just about everything I want in a productivity tool. It has the features I love from Asana and Trello all rolled in to one! The list of features keeps getting increased incredibly fast and the ClickUp team are incredibly responsive to suggestions and implement the best ridiculously fast! They actually seem to really care about what their users want and implement them. The support is also unbelievably responsive and helpful.

Cons

The downside is that there is so many possibilities that it can feel a little overwhelming to start with and I'm still learning how to use it to it's full potential! I'm also a little frustrated that the app still doesn't allow you to see checklists or work offline, but have been assured that it is in progress and will be added soon...
