Pros/Cons
Pros
- Overall its great, even if you are a beginer or proseffional you can get amazing results. I think its the best of its kind for the price you pay and what you get for it.
- Often free sound effects vary greatly in quality, so it is great to have so many good quality samples ready to go.
- It has a clean and attractive interface. It has powerful audio features and effects, and is compatible with most popular plug-ins.
Cons
- The major problem we have with Adobe is the expensiveness of its products.
- The only downside that I have expierenced in my workflow is that sometimes in order to utilize other plugins or advance systems, you may have to do extra steps to keep in line with te Adobe workflow.
- By no means am I an expert in every facet of Audition, but I've been able to master the basics of what I need to do to produce the podcast.
Pros
- I have found Descript easy to use, fantastic that I can see the transcript and manipulate it to get the recording that I need. The drag and drop of video and music is so easy and brilliant.
- I love how easy it is to edit audio using the auto transcription. It allows for other great features like filler word and word gap detection/removal.
- I absolutely love Descript and have recommended it to multiple people. It's been a *huge* time save when it comes to editing.
Cons
- Perhaps stupidly, i carried on using Descript. A month or so later a Composition (their name for a document within a project) I was working on just stopped working.
- There have been two occasions in last few months where Descript just stopped working. I lost days' worth of work on broadcast critical projects.
- Luckily, I have also noticed this in time but this could have very well have led to a video having missing parts because of this "accident.
